    Some time ago, my cousin Dan, asked me to help him put together a good micro shore jigging combo dedicated to the mighty Jigpara Micro 10g. He has been saving up this micro shore jigging set up and the time has finally come to put things together. In this video, we show you how we put things together, the reason for choosing the rod, the reel, the line and of course, we also show the lures we intend to use with the combo.
    The rod is a Major Craft triple cross, he chose a Shimano Stradic 3000 for his reel, we put on some PE 0.6 line and we get a very solid combo that can cast lure sand small jigs from 5-30g. Although this combo is almost dedicated to small micro jigs, it can also cast small lures and is not put together for small fish, this is actually a combo that can tackle some pretty decent sized fish.

    10 Gram jigs are really a life hack. I am fishing in Turkey, we have fishing spots on Sea of Marmara, Black Sea, Aegean Sea, Mediterranean Sea and major craft zebra glow 10 grams are suggested by all fishing masters in our country. They are working everywhere, we mostly catching bluefish and seabass with sinking or floating lures but everybody switching to major craft 10 grams. Zebra Glow works for all species, and the glow pinkg for bigger mackerels. It is highly suggested. I am using 12-42 gr daiwa rod with 3000 size reel.

    Hello there ,nice content ! I recently got a rod (rapala distant shores 14-42g ) and a reel (nasci fc 5000xg).They match really well in my opinion but theres something that i aint sure about the combo...the speed of the reel..I want to cast 18g-30g micro jigs and topwater lures and maybe the 105 cm of line retrive per crank is way too much for this application....could you share your opinion please? thank you.

    • @TheFishingKit
      @TheFishingKit  19 днів тому

      firstly, unless the reel is a 5000 Compact, it won't balance well with the rod. This rod balances to a max 4000 size reel. When shore jigging, you want an XG because you want to get as much of the slack out as possible...as fast as possible. if you want to slow down, you can reel slower or move the rod before reeling. all my shore jigging reels are XG...as with most things, it's usually user error and seldomly with the gear.

      PE 0.6, not 0.6mm. It is a japanese measurement. In mm it is 0.12 diameter.
      This is what I recommend people that are starting out to use. I use thinner line, with a bit more experience, people can go to thinner lines - thinner lines gives you an advantage in sensitivity and casting distance using very tiny lures like 1g jig heads
