I love this! I love when you swatch colors- it is so helpful! I love the updated look of the desk with Acadia and the new knobs. I used Silk for the first time after your snowstorm inspired makeover a few years ago. My piece has held up well, and it turned out better than i ever imagined.

Crazy! So I loved the OG-did my son’s Covid desk just like it back then, now…I love the NP (and those colors), I want to flip it like you just did again 😂 he’s moving on to a larger desk since the first was a little old one like this, I’m going to hope he picks some other fun color to try out other than grey or white! Green version. I love the contrast with the natural wood. You always make it look so easy. I am the messiest painter in the world! I get paint on myself just mixing it up. lol. And you don’t even use a drop cloth 😳

Oh my gosh, my home and my two Airbnb‘s are all cabins and I feel like those colors are fantastic. Thank you so much for mentioning that about the stick on wallpaper. It’s funny how everybody complains when they encounter contact paper and yet they turn around and go ahead and put on stick down wallpaper which is going to be just as cursed in the years ahead. I would love to do my Bedroom dresser, mirror and bedside cabinets, just seems like a huge job, because I have no experience painting and re-doing furniture! Is this Silk Paint available in Canada? I would love to paint all the framework and sand all the drawer fronts and leave them natural with that wax that you just added to the dest top!! Enjoy watching you, so easy and relaxed!😂❤

I’m a green person!!💚my fav color!! Great tip for the inside drawers with double stick tape!! Me personally, I love dark wood with green!! I’d have done voodoo walnut stain BUT that’s what I love!! I think your son is going to love❤Also want to comment on the new color line!! I’m Loving that Lime green color!! Gonna be repainting my front porch chairs and my metal bohemian tables this spring!! I picked out lime green for the tables ( spray paint)-can the silk paint go on metal?

I love that color it gives me inspiration on what to use for my hutch. I have a quick question. So would I need to prime my hutch since it is a very dark color like expresso brown or will show through fine?
Priming is personal preference- if you don't prime, it may take more coats of paint for the coverage you want. This paint does not require that you use a primer, but sometimes I will prime if I think there is a chance that the old finish will bleed through the paint.
The fun and creativity of painting furniture is using a paint brush. Spraying paint just doesn't appeal to me but it does look good and saves time especially if flipping furniture for profit.
Those drawers looked a bit difficult to use, so I was wondering if you’d ever tried Low Friction Drawer Slide Tape. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

The green is gorgeous. I need a medium taupe to paint some bedroom furniture. I wonder if Silk has something that will work. Maybe that first beige color? I might need to combine a couple of colors. Any suggestions?

Yes you can!
I just got some "Midnight Green" silk, I wonder if I should have gotten "Acadia"? Maybe next time.

Paint with a roller with smooth texture and you will have smooth finish. No brush strokes. I like the confidence of this flipper. No tape and no protective cover on the floor. Don't try this at home.
