Ok so after this how do you restore the ore or exotics in open world? I mean once you mine the ore how or when do they replenish? After you log off for the night? Time?

Excellent question. The short answer is yes. Basically, all the Ren(money) and Exotics(Red & Purple) are stored at the orbital station where you select your character(s). You use the exotics and Ren to 'research'(unlock) items and 'craft'(purchase) the researched items. Then those items are available for you to use on future open world, or missions. However, they do wear out and can be repaired at the orbital station for 10 Ren, or you can research repair kits, and unlock the blueprint for a repair bench. Purchase and call down kits and repair your Exotic Gear planet side. You have to remember to either have your exotic gear on your character, load it into your drop pod, or use the radio to call down a pod like he did for exotics to return the gear to the orbital or you can lose it. What I do is when I get T4 gear on open world I send my gear back up to repair it and for my other characters to use, but you cannot do that with your base environmental suit. You can also 'purchase' insurance for your exotic gear you bring down. You take a penalty on mission pay for doing it, but after 5 real life days, you can have any exotic gear you 'lost' returned to the station. On missions, you lose everything you made during the mission. On open world, as long as you do not delete that world, you can put your gear in storage containers, go back up to the orbital, and bring another character down and that gear is still there. Or go up, do missions to unlock more of the mission web that you can then do in open world. But, as far as I understand you can only do a mission inside an open world map 1 time. So eventually, you can do most of the missions on open world, but once you've done them all, you'd have to start a new open world to repeat them. But, you'd get to keep your character's experience and any exotic gear you purchased. Also, there are mods you can make for gear. Unfortunately, you cannot put those mods on Exotic Gear. So if you make armor plates for your armor, you can only put it on hand crafted gear.
Once you tame an animal there is a slot you can put the exotics extractor into and carry the scanner on your back.

also, in the caves you find exotics. and they replenish after a meteor shower.
Not sure I have been mining since that change. Dang cold iron pickaxe has me in more ore then I can use

I know that works for regular ore but I think the meteor event is required for the exotics, but who knows, things are changing alot these days.
