About Automation Empire:
Automation Empire is a new real time strategy tycoon/ production management simulation game similar to Factorio, Satisfactory, and others in the genre. Your goal is to simply reach a production capacity on each level by building complex machines and factories.
The game also has drones, freight trains, minecarts, conveyor belts and more useful tools to help you build the factory of your dreams!
In our Automation Empire gameplay, we’ll be learning how to play Automation Empire as well as going through things in a tutorial like fashion while keeping it light and entertaining!

Thanks for all the tips on the last episode guys,
if you have any other suggestions, let me know!
Claw trains will probably not be worth it unless your prepared to dig down their entire tech tree to the truck loader. You can brute force the combiner weight goal by getting a few more trucks or decreasing time between trucks upgrade.
However, claw trains can make inside your factory a lot more efficient. They would allow you to have example two craters, feed onto a single unload belt, spaced between loader belts that feed into refineries, and the claw train could run over the top to pick up at each crater, and drop off at the refiners, it basically removes a lot of belt spaghetti.
We'll wait for city skyline 😢
You should never just have a miner outputting straight on to a train as it can only hold so much in it's internal buffer so you need to add at least a small container to each
I think increasing the cart speed would increase your monthly weight output
Kib, you can set the "splitters" to actually split evenly. For example: If you want a belt to be split 4 ways you set the first grabber to skip 3 boxes, the second to skip 2, the third to skip 1 and the last to grab all. That way the output gets split evenly ^o^
That way you can feed machines evenly etc. etc.
Keep those episodes coming~
Ha it only took ten months but I completed the mission boys I liked this comment for the 69th time
Recommend putting a silo on the end of the mines and pull from that instead of the mine directly. Especially on the mines that are far away.
Fantastic suggestion, thanks!
@@ImKibitz your a small but supriseingly good youtuber
Only time i was this early iron still moved at 60 items per minute on conveyo mk1
Watching this video after watching many other videos from other channels makes me think "oh, boy you're so lost". But it was fun to watch you try different things 😁
Nice idea for this system, but you could just destroy the empty bins after getting the refined Coal. There for you need a lodingbelt and set it up there.
One other thing is efficiency. One cratemaker can Handel about 3 refiners.
Keep in mind that belts are slow af. (bottleneck)
On other hand just try to set up more research becaus you will need way to much.
Best way to generate research is when you unlocked the combiner. This one production line of an combiner can Handel 15 research bays.
But you will figure out the numbers anyway.
Btw: Travle time doesn't matter as long as you get everything on the train and have enough space to store at least one trainloading.
Love you Videos
See ya in the next one
By destroying excess boxes aren't you wasting electricity running more box-makers though?
No cause without the box makers you wouldn’t be able to refine the coal ore into coal
@@yeetboi7648 other ytber did that
@@jasonslade6259 no , electrical consumption is really not that much even on large scale
Note that there is a bug with the crate maker at the moment. It has a 1 second delay per cycle so it makes 3 crates per 12 seconds instead of 3 crates per 9 seconds. When the bug is (hopefully) fixed it will provide enough crates for 3 refineries -- right now it is inefficient.
Also note that you can have stepper conveyors have their load sucked up into the silos, and then feed the now empty crate on to a 1x1 unload conveyor. Unload conveyors automatically destroy empty crates. The option you were looking at before would afaik destroy *every* crate that reaches the end of the belt, instead of only empty.
And yes, claws are brilliant. Your setup is quite efficient but if you place your final output crate makers into a factory you can export them on to steppers, and merge on to a single unload conveyor (no drones allowed) and then use the claws to deliver to unload belts literally right next to each truck bay. This also sets you up the in the future for truck loaders as well.
Finally, one of the early game bottlenecks is truck arrival times. 50,000 research reduces the time each step, with the first being 1.5 seconds, which is actually a huge deal. Get more moving and grooving.
Crate movers can act like a spliter.
1 crate maker --> 3 refiners = 100% efficient.
Crate maker has a main line to the center of 3 refiners. Left refiner only has 1 belt, right refiner input has 2 belt sections.
Set 1 crate mover to skip every 2 and another to skip every 1, then a line directly into the middle. BOOM! 3-way splitter!
Also, 1 large container can output to 4 crate makers.
This has been my new fav channel for the last month, thanks for all the uploads bud!
not sure if i stated this in your previous video but if you mount containers on your miners, you can store and transfer even more materials.
This was great! At the end, you show your export system, and it is backed up. The bottle neck seems to be the trucks. I'd try doing those micro-research things you were talking about at one point to increase the truck arrival frequency (the one at the bottom), therefore decreasing your export time and increasing money gained. You could add more roads for more stops as well, but then it costs money and increases travel distance for the bots.
Love your videos (addicted to your Satisfactory ones), keep it up!
I like this and the satisfactory videos glad you can play these I dont have the time to play them. Great content keep it up BROTHER!
With the crate claws, you can make them skip crates for more efficiency. For example, when u have 3 foundries ( 1 foundry per mine in groups of 3 are the more efficient), the first claw on the belt passes 2 boxes, the next one passes 1 and the last one takes all. So It works a bit like a Satisfactory splitter 3 ways and every foundry gets the same ammount of boxes to process. You can also only have only one import tube at the end of the belt to get the processed ore into all the countainers
if you use the.... end of belt thing that robots grab crates from, forgot it's name, place it at the end of the belts you have at 4:41, they auto-delete empty boxes, and as you discovered, can be set to delete all crates.
Good to see you figuring things out yourself though.
Check the output crate weights as well. For example, coal ore and iron ore count as 1kg/crate, but coal and iron count as 10kg/crate. Makes a HUGE difference to your 3 month total :-)
the medium storage has two connection points on each side and the box makers have three inputs, left right and back. its possible to have one medium storage feed 6 box makers
Can you please also try out Factorio? Because your videos are always so great with a great game they must be even better.
Leon Müller he streamed it yesterday.
@@owencole643 I not often enough on twitch to catch him when he streams
Leon Müller you can watch the vod, but I think he enjoyed it enough to start a dedicated series too.
@@owencole643 I hope so.
It's pretty chill to watch you vid's!! Keep up the good work!!
all the output / input nozzles and the grabbers can be set to skip certain amounts of boxes / carts to allow for more optimised factories
Looks like trucks aren't keeping up with shipping, so add another road or two, that'll also increase your shipping weight.
I was so impatient for this. ! Thanks Kibitz !
Oh btw mine carts move faster while they are on a higher level. It's called a minecraft highway. And you can make it even faster with upgrades. Note the upgrades do not speed up the level one speed.
KIBZ! you can make the transfer claws skip x amount of crates they see so the overflow works more like satisfactory where the splitter skips every few crates so every machine gets a crate eventually!!! It would make your factories so much more efficient if you do this!
Haven't thought about that use of crates. But I think you can't remove the crate makers as you might need them after a reload and coming back into game. It would have made things easier for sure, but now I am rebuilding everything for the claw trains and they are so much faster.
Because taxes are based on the total profit you make from the beginning of the game, there is a specific strategy to stay ahead of taxes.
1: Use lowest paying item per kilo level. For instance, coal sells for less than iron or gold, but you can make it faster, so sell lots of coal.
2: use higher cost resources for unlocking new tech. Research is based on the value of the item being researched. Gold early on will net the highest return in research points. Use more than 1 research station.
3: Once you get the combiner, start making steel, but keep your coal production running as well. Try and balance between the two till you unlock rockets. On the map you are on, I am pretty sure there are more coal mines than iron, and it takes less coal than iron to make steel. As an example, to use all 18 iron mines would only require around 15 of the 20 or so coal mines.
4: Pay attention to how much research is required and try and limit the lower cost items being researched to only what is needed and that is it to maximize research. Rockets are going to cost you 5m research.
I absolutely need more of this.
I saw gold nearby that extra iron node you found. I think through my research, gold will be heavier and THAT will increase your KGPM (Kilograms per month)
1 box maker produces enough boxes for 3 refineries.
Only if you accept the games written stat as 1 crate every 3 seconds (3 crates per 9 seconds). There is a bug which means the crate factory is the only machine that has a delay of one second after every cycle. This means it makes 1 crate every 4 seconds (3 crates per 12 seconds), which isn't enough to cover 3x refineries (1 crate per 10 seconds)
Plus theres another likely glitch. If you max out the recycle systems box maker, delete it and place a new one, you add more boxes to the system at no additional cost.
"I don't what to destroy the crates" "I COULD HAVE DESTROYED THE CRATES!"
My morning is saved!
More Automation Empire! WEEE
Hi kibz. I think youll find that due to research centers needing to be in proximity to each other, as well as fed various resources, kinda means you should be planning to build around a hub of these. Maybe a bus system feeding a final boxing process for shipment, via the research hub ?
It's a little strange seeing Kibitz run into trouble that is not in the shape of giant zombies. But I like it.
Actually, your very first design which you think works, is actually a perfect design except you just have to change the end converyor belt to unload... By using that, the crate will automatically deleted when its emptied...
You keep play Factorie games i like factory games keep it up 😀😀😀
More and more satisfactory plz
Not sure if it was said ingame....but the crate maker makes 30 boxes for the whole map....they share the limitation...
you can just put an unload belt next to the normal belts to destroy empty crates instead of doing it the hard way
This whole crate thing reminds me of the human circulatory system the crates being the blood cells in the conveyor belt being the veins
Hey, try looking up Skye Storme's playlist and skim 14/15 and 15/15 for some ideas at optimizing factories! Put your own spin on them!
You can hold the middle mouse button to spin the camera view.
Great video! Though I got so mad when you said "Irregardless", it's not a word, plus it would be a double negative!
Looking foward to more content. I noticed though that the game has recieved no updates, hope the development hasen't stopped.
I seriously like the idea where you are taking ore from mines then unloading them on silo then taking those ore from those silos and feeding them to the factory instead of running minecarts from mine to directly into factories. That's seriously cut down the time taken by minecarts to take ore from mine to factory
this is amazing we want more
ImKibitz The Tax is calculated based off the total profit you have earned all through the game at a rate of 2% (2 Percent). For example, you earned $1000 for the first month, the tax will be $20. Then you earn $4000 for the second month. You calculate the 2% of $1000+$4000 which equals $100. Then the third month is $7000. So that's $1000+4000+7000 which equals $240.
It's an ever growing tax pool. This means you can't build a factory and leave it over night in the hopes of amassing a huge money pool. You have to constantly keep expanding the base do sell off ever profitable resources.
The Tax is not based on how many or what buildings you have. Apart from Power Tax which is based on how many powerplants you have and how much power you're using.
This was found out when another UA-camr contacted the Developers.
M pretty sure the coal ran out as some of the non refined coal goes to the sell point. The overflow that doesn’t end up in the refinery loops around directly to the sell silo.
Claws! thay are realy a big upgrade both inside you factory but ohman do they do a better job then the robots when i comes to load trucks.
Almost all Tech unlocks are behind a Ship X Kg and research points and them some also req that you have another tech unlocked(Its not clerly stated at all times)
Yes, you must Claim research to make the game count vs the unlock Req.)
Claws -> Combiner -> routers and Trucks Speed now&then to make it easyer to get the X / Kg req. (yes trucks are going to be used still for quite some time for you)
Oh Kibitz i love your gameplay than anyone youtuber because i beat the game hard brother..
use cranes to transport steel plates you need resreach alot i hope you keep it up plz i love it
Yesss your uploading more
I love this game
Kibtz! You can run 3 Refiners with 1 Crate Maker! Crate Makers cost some power so use less of them for much production,
Can you try mining every single resource node on the map in the next episode? You don't have to refine them yet, you can probably make a ton of money just by selling the raw ores.
I waited the whole day to watch this video
You can use unloding beal to take the empty crate on and it a awesome episode
4:40 use UNLOAD STATION to solve empty box problem :)) @ImKibitz
I like this
new word now stuck in my head spicy thax
Great video.
P.s. its just "regardless".
your research can plug directly into a miner making it much faster....and all research has to be near each other if you put down a second one.
Nice Video pleace make more ;)
Longer vids plz!
it takes 6 crate makers to keep up with that large silo
You could use more mine cart lines instead of crate lines
the crates seem to function the same was as carts. Can you just use carts instead of a line with crates?
I was on the fence about continuing to watch this video and then he said "irregardless." That was it for me! Bye~
This is an amzing series and all but could try out factorio. Im waiting to see you play the game and dominate it with your amazing logistical skillz BROTHER!!
Yes, It is.
upload 10 secs ago damnm right i click it :o
16:31 *rip*
Is this game worth getting, still?
Next a hour long episode?
Longer video's please
I wonder if there’s going to be a nuclear update
more of this
WHO Else wants more
check out skye storme's video on efficient factories. Also Katherine of Sky did a video doing the recycled crates idea.
Hello um yeah where is RAVENFIELD MAN
"irregardless"
Noooo the big container have 8 ports !! one in and you have 7 out to play with.
this video is annoyingly entertaining.
The arrow is on the wrong way
dont click repeat, just hold the button down and move ur curser over the items u want derstroyed.
that looks like the roblox cursor
Second reaction
Wish you didnt cut so much, kind of prefer when i can see all the steps
The you doing is off screen so i dont se how you build that complex

wow im early. 6 comments
hi
@@Hlebuw3k well hi there. long time no see
The game has been abandoned by the developer. Might I suggest you take any videos regarding this game off your Channel as to not dupe anyone in to buying an unfinished abandoned game.
Dont destroy crates. I think they cost money to make
Why is your game paused 90% of the time? Just let it run
Fac Torio you’re a bit late, but I agree
Factorio players laugh (or yawn) about this setup... they call this an EMPIRE? ... i see ppl plaster several kilometers worth of coal production which made up 1% of their base.
Please not don't take his advice recycling is horribly inefficient, just destroy the boxes.
I ALMOST down-voted this video because you said "irregardless."
That made me cringe.
hearing the word spicy in that context that many times got a downvote
