What I wanted to say right at the start is: Place the fences around the indusrtial buidings!
You won't belive how much more realistic it would make the buildings look, a few buildings together and a fence surrounding them would make it look like a different property, which would resemble it as a some sort of factory or storage that would be placed in the port. Fences in this game often make it look more neat, I learned it from some other players that like to play in Vanilla, like "Imperatur".
Think about it! Also, I love your series.
I’d also say the same with the railroads, I’m not sure how it is elsewhere but in the UK railroads will normally have fences around them and even if it wouldn’t be realistic for New Zealand it could be some extra detail
hoi
saw the first episode on my home page, subscribed right away and excited for this series!! looks great so far

Been watching a lot of City Planner Plays and have been itching for more skylines content!!! Subbed immediately after I saw this series :)))
Love this series. The algorithm suggested your first in this series to me so it's definitely working!
New viewer enjoying the series dude. Very zen - always satisfying watching a pro in their element. Cheers

Just to help with the lore...
The industrial area.
*Name:Carbondale*
"Carbondale is the main import export center of the Rockport Metropolitan Area (RMA) . Affectionately nicknamed _The Furnace_ by locals partly because in the 40's-60's legislation came into play prohibiting the use of the smelting steel mills during the day time to limit smoke exhaust and smog in the city. To circumvent production loss, the mill decided to operate at full capacity right after sunset ( which was right after the sun passed the mountains directly behind the plant) and other smaller smelting plants in the area followed suit, which caused the plant and its surrounding to emit an eerie red glow from light pollution right after sundown until the wee hours of the morning like a small secondary sunrise."
Homage to NFS Carbon? Haha
@@Arkiasis oh damn I didn't even realize it 🤣🤣🤣
Looks great, totally got the Need for Speed vibes! :D
Also the area next to the train cargo warehouse. screams for an railyard imo
Just found you thanks to the algorithm. Series is off to a great start, excited to see what you do with it. Had to subscribe also
Great episode. Love how it's all fitting together with the highway interchange, the masterful rail layout, the industry and cargo ports. Can't wait for the pop to start moving in. Oh, as a side note, I've never played NFS (Shh! Don't' tell anyone). So, when/if you build something in reference to NFS, I'd appreciate it if you point out its significance so I don't miss it. Thanks!
Really nice start of a new series. Like vanilla based games because it ads a little bit of a challange for building realistic.
Looking forward to a long serie!
Thank you for making such an amazing job. I love your video, please, keep making them! :)
Hi mate ! Just joining your youtube adventure with this serie! It looks great keep doing great
I am currently building a detroit based city with tons of mods and assets (over a thousand) and this city reminds me detroit because they both are a industrial city so I can watch your videos and look for inspirations to build in my city! love your content keep up the good work buddy! btw I subscribed yesterday so I am new here haha 😅
Just found your channel and im loving it so far!
Glad you're back! Great video!
looking very sick, hopefully ill be able to incorporate some of these ideas in my own cities
I love your channel. Content is top-tier dude!
Great stuff, man! I hope the algorithm keeps treating us! 🎉🎉
LOVE THESE!!! cities skylines builds are awesome and in episode formats.
Wow. I never knew vanilla cities skylines could look so good with just a few mods. Keep up the good work man👍
I love this series, im excited to see more!! (im not that good at making cities in this game so its really satisfying to see someone make such a nice city in cities skylines.)
Same here! I live through more talented people's creativity.
Yup same here
CS skill and video format earned a like, Rockport NFS tie-in earned a sub! Looking forward to this series and I’m gonna check out the other series you mentioned while we await new episodes!!!
Glad to have discovered this CS series at the beginning.I’m subscribing to this channel
Lovely start ! Can't wait for the heart of the city, transports... less motorway 😂
Good detailling really cool
I also am very happy that the algorithm worked and I found this series :D
Don't get me wrong, but this is such a great video to listen in the background while you doing something! XD
Keep up the good work!
I've discovered you yesterday and I'm already in love with the series
I have to rebuild my entire city, I love this map, and you give me another view, loving this serie.
Hi
I stumbled across this series today because Cities Skylines 2 is coming out soon and I wanted to get some ideas.
Unfortunately I'm not so good on the fantasy side, I can rebuild things well, but the imagination to do something like this myself is missing.
:D
I have to say, your industrial section with the ports etc has simply blown me away.
I'm looking forward to watching the rest of the episodes I haven't seen yet.
Yo this looks fantastic!! Making me wish my PC could properly run CS. So glad you brought up the NFS comments, was thinking it was cool haha would be great to see a couple of sections of road made to create some cool corners that would be used for racing like in NFS. If only CS generated groups/subcultures, creating street racing haha
awesome series, i love it 🫶
awesome job! i want to see more, thank you!
I am so glad I found this new channel
Your videos are very entertaining. Going to be watching this whole series 😁
I discovered you through the UA-cam algorithm, and I’m really enjoying the series so far! :)
With node controller you can make the quay edges straight, and they lookso much better. I really liked how you made the rail and roads !
you really got me back to play the game once more 🙂
This is such a great series it looks amazing already and I am so inspired by this already but I am just wondering how do you make it look that good because my cities always look like the vanilla cities and it does not look custom at all so how did you create yours? Was it just trial and error or did you already have the idea in your head? I love this series so much thank you!!
I gotta say I'm one of newcomers thanks to the algorithm. It is true. Glad it showed me your video. I'm enjoying a lot!
After losing interest in the game and all of my favourite C:S content creators essentially quitting youtube, I recently started playing again. And now finding this brand new series after watching Timbuckton back in the day is definately a treat. I'm exited to see how this new city will develop!
For a smaller channel your content quality is absolutely amazing. Better than a lot of bigger channels. Keep it up 🙌🙌
As someone with ADHD, this content is so relaxing and enjoyable. Glad I found your channel. Keep up the great content!
FYI: Mr. Mason’s CCP trees are free to the base game but were added at the same time as his first map pack! I look forward to seeing the historical sequence of events thought process playing a role throughout the build.
true but they have many, many more trees and plants available on the workshop that weren't added to the base game
Looks awesome!
I like this series hopefully more will come soon❤❤
started watching this video and was like, Damn I wish these you tubers would make a package of the mods they use. The boom! there it is! ty so much
I can't wait to see what you will do for those cues of NFS Rockport!
Maybe a stadium with the highway going around it? Haha
Yeah, maybe a small island with a lighthouse on it to be like Point Camden haha
It needs roundabouts, you can find inspiration from a famous city called roundabout city. The structure and thought process is astonishing
I subed today watchin every video really love these city building videos
I just download this game and i'm totaly lost!!!! I spend loads of hours this weekend and your video is a inspiration
im a new cities skylines player, and your videos help me learn so many new things.
It's hard for me to get into a City Skylines complete build series, but you've captured my attention so far. Most likely helps that you're easier to listen to at the length of video that you're uploading.
I'm new to this channel but I get good vibes from I'll look forward to follow this journey. I have a question is the regular upload time around three days or is it inconsistent ? Another one How long do think this series will last for ? Finally you should definitely add fences you could use some of the more dirty industry like fences
Great content, keep at it! (:
Whats interesting is, in Auckland CBD, a couple politicians have (in the past) moved to move the port away from so close to the cbd because of how much of an eyesore it is. So its great to see you building it here :)
Looks like a great series. Also loved the NFS Most Wanted game. Maybe you can incorporate the seaside promenade with the ferris wheel.
Great work! Subscribed and waiting for next episode :) Please include how to implement necessary buildings like police, hospital, etc. without changing the look of that area.
im a new viewer, and i really like the rockport series. i started watching the dunswell one because i want more!!!! haha
Heya dude! Im new and have some (maybe hopeful) suggestions. If you build, try to do it in sections, you did alot this episode and don’t know if thats going to be your standard. But to retain viewership you should do the infrastructure, buildings, surface painting, landscaping and waterpiping all in little sections. Keeps it more snappy and nice to look at, gives you more time to talk about certain areas too and stay more relative to what we are watching.
Maybe do some live playing too?
Anyways I subbed, would love to see what this channel grows out to be!
It’s so peaceful watching the Timelapses
I love this series so far, I found u randomly in my recommended. I would like to see a massive interchange somewhere in city even if it isnt needed. Similar to Avalon [21] or Aurelia #88 by Fluxtrance and Akruas.
What an awesome series!
Good series so far!
I feel like instead of just nature props, you should also get some industrial props (EX: trucks, crates, boxes) it gives a lot more livelihood to your industrial area as it won't just look like a bunch of buildings on some concrete.
❤ of course! This rockport!
Nice "cameo".
Can’t wait for the new video fr
I love watching industrial areas like these get built!
Loved this episode can’t wait for the residential area’s
Very nice looking port! I built something similar in one of my city but yours looks Busch better!
Howdie Timester, I enjoy watching you build your cites. I am from Allenstown, NH.
I loved NFS Most Wanted! So many good memories as a kid.
As for an element to incorporate. I'm thinking the college in Rosewood would be interesting to kinda have. The big circular road with the campus in the middle might be interesting to try and do. And since that part of the map has mountains in the back you could even nestle it somewhere in the back that has mountains around it.
With so much industries, the railroad company is missing a yard to switch all the trains. And that "simple" connection into the passengerlines... Oughf, that will create problems in the future. But the harbour scene is looking great!
Idk y I find these videos so wholesome
The detailing is always so satisfying 😸
im watching the whole series i love these videos🥰
searched for cities skylines after a long time and your vids came up finally some good stuff from youtube also can you share your pc specs?
Welcome back!
I was blessed by the algorithms, and I am looking forward to the next episodes!
Amazing looks
Nice Video bro well planed you need to build packing spots…hope you so will be waiting for your next upload. Thanks
Looking good so far
Howdy howdy! Love the city concept, I just have a couple of thoughts on the industrial area. First... there's not much parking or empty lots that may once have been something that's been torn down. Second, as a model railroader I'm a stickler for the concept of tracks (some overgrown) running to buildings but no longer in service... Finally, I notice that you're plopping in all the buildings. Are you not creating any organic industrial zoning? Just curious. Thanks for sharing. I'm looking forward to seeing more of how you build out the city.
Just saw you previous video. Cant wait to see its progress. Hope you can upload daily
I love the look of your port bro, looks really realistic. However Im scared shitless to see how it would handle actual heavy trafic..
This is awesome
Im chillin like a bird rn watching.. soo relaxing
already loving your city.. this is how a finest civilization is established. no need to have low level municipal elections. just create facility and designate people to go there
Rather than pumping waste to sea i think it would be more realistic to place inland treatment centers. Great city thank you.
Nice job!
