If we used this method for cars it would be convenient to sew the vertical lines. To ease the sewing process would be done on a single-needle post machine and with a narrow pressure foot so that it runs in each channel. I have used this pattern for a Mercedes Benz car seat of my own but but it could also be applied to, handbags, furniture, etc. ✅ ua-cam.com/video/etmEVkdThQQ/v-deo.html Citroen DS interior have a similar and simpler design www.carbodydesign.com/gallery/2012/05/citroen-creates-ds-line-styling-department/14/

Yes amazing work. Seat back or side panels, but Not a seat bottom. This design would be difficult to clean and dirt and liquids would get in under the leather.

Dear Sir; I am doing an Alfa Romeo Spider 1983 to 1985 Dashboard re-wrap in -40F cold crack vinyl (as I am in Canada). I want to thank you for your videos which I have been watching for (what seems like) 10 years now. I consider this 'sewn dash wrap' my 'graduation piece' (the toughest project I have done yet). This dash has two 'inset' deep round holes on each side of the 'face' of the dash and two round holes on the top of the dash - for round heater / air vents (about 3.5 inches in diameter). I find I am having to make an 'inside pocket' for the the 'upper half' of "inside" of the round vent hole (and then will have to cut the facing piece and sew the 'inside pocket' onto the facing piece. Essentially this round vent is 'faced' to a sloped dash (ie: wider at the top than at the bottom). I have my ' inside pocket' done, but I am trying to figure out WHAT SHAPE HOLE I have to cut in the facing piece to sew it to. It seems to me that it would not be round - and also if this 'hole in the facing' is not correct, this critical part of the dash will not fit properly or lay flat to the high density foam etc.. Here is link to a photo of a similar Alfa dash vent hole I am doing. If you have covered this off in one of your videos could you tell me the tile / subject (or provide a link)? www.alfabb.com/attachments/c2cf5333-b852-4a7d-be9e-f0250e316c1a-jpeg.1619186/
I have no related videos. I think there are two ways of approaching those holes. One is cut the round hole short and push it inside to the side by gluing it down. The other way would be to to sew a piece all around to the edge of the round hole edge. Sorry I cannot help more.
