Miles wide fork cork, excellent product, stash em up 😅 Also Zefal FM60 front fender/mudguard, a real MX style fender that doesn't rattle too much... *Both products can't be used at the same time. Obviously 😅
I have worked in e-Commerce for nearly 20 years and my current job is a Marketplace Content Specialist. All of the weird long titles on Amazon are meant to maximize keyword searches. The more keywords that are in the title, the more likely your product will be displayed higher up in a search. I agree that the titles don’t roll off the tongue but in the cut-throat world of Amazon they can seriously improve your sales.
I've gotten several of the Granite products in the past, and have always been happy with them. Our local trails have a lot of 2 way traffic with limited sight turns, and their bell (which can be used with a thumb control or set to ring constantly) works great.
I don't understand the attraction of the Rehook type products. All they do is keep your hands clean when remounting a chain but a couple of disposable latex or vinyl gloves do the same job better for a fraction of the price, take up way less space and can be used for more than one task.
Granite Designs is actually a pretty legit company for mini tools and stuff, not the typical Amazon crap. I still don‘t understand why you need a tool for putting your chain back on when fingers or a stick are free.
I would get the Fantik air pump instead for a few dollars more. You get something that can seat a tire, and it doesn't sound like it is struggling to fill the tire.
Why use a strap to hold things that can fall off and disappear from your bike when you can get a bag that weighs the same to secure everything? While also keeping the dirt, rain and mud off.
I’ve been using the Granite straps for a few years & love them. They’re not just an Amazon item, though. I’ve seen them in more than a few bike shops. They do the job quite well, and the variety of colors means coordinating is easy.
I have exactly those cheapo-cheap gloves, they're very decent, those thick paddings got thin/soft very fast. A plus point: I can put them on without unwrapping the strap. 5 months, still going strong.
That camera is sick I like the “how cheap can you buy a part and it actually be good” on amazon game. Bought a cheap dropper on there and it’s mint. In the process of trying to buy cheap bike lights that actually work… recommendations welcomed.
Interesting selection of Mtb goodies from Amazon, have electric pump but bit bulky to carry round regular rides, not bad for tyres as well, am too cheap to buy chain hook thing just use my hands 😂 thanks for sharing Rich and gmbn!
You can find some gems, pro bike tool torque wrench has served me well. Also IMO, usually the best place to buy name brand stuff cheap, like riding clothes and free returns if it doesn't fit right.
In my opinion that pump is pointless. It is not small enough to carry it with you on the bike and if you need a pump in a back of a car or van then get one powered from lighter socket so you don't have to charge it.
That enduro strap may b the one… did just get an identical hiviz thing sold at the hardware store but that Granite company seems nice, be swell to race without a backpack next year. Good support stations at enduros near / in pisgah 🎉 i carried way too much…
ive been using the granite straps for like 5 years now, theyre great for anything you want to use them for. its a velcro strap so not exactly an engineering marvel but, they do work like a charm. gloves? fasthouse makes the best gloves ive ever tried
The electric pumps are pretty good.... I have a brand name one that cost about $30. It aired my car tire up from 0 psi twice on one battery. It will not seat tubeless tires.
I bought a JGbike bb and crank for £39 and was very impressed! Its not light but lighter then the old through axle the bike had! And the barings lasted 8 months of everyday use! I burnt through shimano deore darings in 6 months
old school product: Zefal FM60 front fender/mudguard. (30$) It has more in common with "the" fenders than the ugly weak things other brands are selling.
Hello Rich, I don't know if you've done this before, but I think another good content is building a good, capable mountain bike out of inexpensive parts from Amazon (or anywhere similar) and see how it will perform (but the goal is to come up with a build that will perform well with a cheap price tag). What do you think? 🙂
9:47 I paid $20 (USD) for two pairs of gloves from a very reputable brand from a clearance link through a Strava challange 😂. Amazon isn’t always the best place to shop.
I installed one of those rear view cameras on a customer's bike at the bike shop where I work. It was a total piece of cr*p! That front mounting bracket works it's way loose in no time on a ride and the whole screen comes tumbling off. We had to Gorilla Tape it on and it was nothing but problems. Highly Don't Recommend.
The battery in theese pumps are always shit, if you are willing to mod it into using RC 2S LiPos you can get a LOT more mileage out of them. They however cant get tubeless tires back on the bead, too little volume flow
Why TF would anyone trust their potentially vital multitool, inflator or anything else for that matter to a crappy strap attached to the frame when it can all fit securely in a minimal hydration pack? Really, a battery pump to replace a bomb proof regular pump? Gloves, one thing I have stopped doing is spending big money on branded glives. My current winter ones are £14 from Amazon and are fantastic, and I can buy 3 pairs for the price of me disappointing Specialised so called thermals.
Most all of those parts are on Temu as well- and less expensive. I've bought two pairs of gloves for $5 & $8. Hold up well, 2 years now. Grips, pedals, etc. 3 years on...np's at all.
I do not shop on amazon anymore. Not in disagreement woth Bezos, but the fact that most of it is chinese products these days. Amazon is Aliexpress / Temu.
Which of these products are you likely to head out and pick up? Have you ever found anything underrated online that you can't live without?
Miles wide fork cork, excellent product, stash em up 😅
Also Zefal FM60 front fender/mudguard, a real MX style fender that doesn't rattle too much...

That rearview cam can come handy for watching a toddler on a bike trailer.

I've lost count of the number of those multi tools that well-meaning family members have got me for Christmas over the years 😂
It’s the randomly finding one when you’re looking for something else 😂.
I've lost count the amount of times GMBN have stretched this topic out. 🥱😴😴😴
1:26 even hand pumps get burning hot, 24 bucks is a good deal
6:03 pure gold 😂.
it had to be done 🤣

Not to mention that waxed chains just don't have that problem.
Also, gloves can be shoved in your handelbars if you have easily removable end plugs.
That chain rehook thingy is a solution in search of a problem. Also probably about 5 cents per piece to make.
Dropping your chain is an actual problem... but the solution is to fix your bike, not keep stopping to put it back on.
if it was 5 cents i would be tempted to buy one for my commuter bike.
@@dannyheyrman4848 The 5 ct solution is a disposable glove :D.
@@etherealicer Or a piece of wire from a coat hanger, or a broken spoke.
@@mattgies Or the MacGuyver Multitool, the paperclip ;D
That said, I do have a pair of disposable gloves on my commuter bike. They are handy to have.

Never mind.

I've had 2 of those straps for 18months and they are still great.
@ They also had multitools that fit in the steerer. Those looked pretty nice.
Often the simplest bits of kit are the best. If a strap works, it works.
I would get the Fantik air pump instead for a few dollars more. You get something that can seat a tire, and it doesn't sound like it is struggling to fill the tire.
If you don't want to get your fingers greasy reseating the chain, just use a stick... That tool is just landfill waste.

Because it looks endurooooo
Obviously you don't ride jumps lol

Because bags and backpacks can hinder your movement/performance, at least in my opinion
Y9u DO need a phillips on your multitool, many derrailleurs have them so it might be important for a trail side tweak

I have Pro Bike Tool's shock pump and it's also very nice, not as premium as some others but far from cheapo junk. They seem to do some decent stuff

Imagine having that bulky rear view monitor screen next to your big bike GPS monitor
The designers of the gloves must be yacht rock fans. " Cool Change" is a song from the " Little River Band" that was really popular.
