I will agree with Tim that The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time is a best buy , in my opinion. I bought one in Switzerland,some years ago from an AD and it's 41mm was the perfect size for me, with an automatic movement. Now, I'm curious to see how much it's worth today, so I'm planning to do a little research. I see watches as investments, so I'm hoping to make a profit from this one.

How did you grow your portfolio to $26m, I'm impressed, I have a lump sum in the bank, the rates are not impressive so I'm moving it, what's your cash flow like?
I have a financial advisor (trader) she grows my liquid assets and I reinvest the weekly payouts back into real estate and long-term ETFs like VOO and SCHD. I have also started acquiring some tech ETFs, including IITU and IUCM.
Thank goodness we have OTHER manufacturers that actually make accurate, attractive, and SANELY priced watches that many of us can realistically afford.
I had five. Gifted one to my nephew. So, I’m down to four. For years I’s thinking of myself as a one watch man, lol Some have none, other have way more than five 😅
As to the Aquanaut: I’d love to buy it new at MSRP, but I think it’s disingenuous to say that the problem is waiting for it. There’s no “wait list” for that watch. There’s a “spend a couple $100,000 in less desirable pieces” to get the call.
Plus Tim left off the fact that The 1916 Corp runs the Patek Philippe Boutique in Miami Florida. I had a very poor experience with the woman who runs the Boutique.

The VC 1921 is, although still a dress watch, actually a drivers watch. If you have it on the inside of the wrist and the hands on the lower part of the wheel, 12 is up on the dial.
I've never seen this confirmed. Everyone knows about the wrist angle on a steering wheel, but as far as I know, nobody's ever established that VC intended it that way. I've never seen confirmation from VC. Some historic versions of this watch are at a different orientation that makes reading more -- not less -- difficult when driving. Best, Tim

@Tim, I am still very confused as to what a tool watch or dive watch is; Tool watches go all the way back to the 1920's and would be considered dress watches today. Splitting watches into a genre can get confusing as I know first hand from my vintage soviet watches. Field watches were around way before dive watches and field watches evolved with fully lumed dials, to partially lumed and they got watered down to being less functional as time went by
The Overseas Dual Time in steel is beautiful but very poor value. Now $38,000 new. And recently they have stopped the alligator strap and give you plain calfskin instead. A miserly move not worthy of the brand. The Rolex Sky-Dweller carries some unfortunate brand baggage but is outstanding value by comparison.
Maybe the F1 deal was like a 10 yr deal. Its alot of $$ when you say you might sponsor F1 for 10yrs ( 10 x $150m = $1.5b) $1.5b will built a new factory etc etc
