- SIDETRACKED '19 Cape York, Track VII
The final episode of Sidetracked '19 sees the boys heading south after tackling the Old Coach Road. They stop in at Cape Tribulation for some much needed R & R before the long haul down the coast to Fraser Island. This is where things start to get interesting, stuck on the beach with big issues.

How does this channel have only 17k subscribers? Such an amazing quality of videos!
I cant work it out either
@@dirtydaddy21 i guess it takes some times the first years but when some "magic" number is reached, lets say 50 k sub? it will take off I think. Sidetracked are my favourite.
@@christiand6768 one of the best 4wd channels out there it will eventually get to big numbers especially as the guys get more comfortable in front of the cameras which they are getting in leaps and bounds episode by episode. being an expat South Aussie i want to see it the biggest

Well done guys. Enjoyed. Steve 🇦🇺
I do not know if I was more disappointed when the blue screen of death happen as to whether I lost my cad file I was working on or the Side Tracked playlist stopped :D
Keep them coming boys.. Either the Chronicles or an episode .. Really enjoy having the commentary in background. Couldn't put All the vids into one separate playlist??
dug this series the old patrol scared you again , you just get used to it after a while I have haha ,
Another enjoyable episode.
Love it . Ha
Awesome content legends 🤙🤙
Yay! God bless country mechanics and the NRMA!
Not sure what to say... The store told was great ... Felt like I was almost there in a way.
Love the big GU and the quality of content... see ya on the next one legends.
Awesome thanks mate
Yaauuussss! And there's beer in the fridge 😎
Disses the Colorado.. Nek minnit.. Lol
If you washed the patrol it might not overheat.
Great Vid all the same.. So jealous in this lockdown.
It’s so cute that you dudes are holding hands just out of frame in the opening scene.
You are right that is cute as hell, didn't even notice that.
SIDETRACKED.AUSTRALIA Love your show - just messing around. Cheers!
Fantastic series as always gents 👍👍 Surprised old mate "diesel fitter" didn't work out it was the solenoid. Pretty common problem that's not that hard to diagnose & fix. He should have worked it out quick smart.
He was hot on it but wanted to exhaust every option.
had the same problem with my Patrol, well done guys
Wow that Colorado did great at inskip towing the soot master
VERY good job. Especially after the banter spoken about it earlier.
Great Videos Guys where is your next adventure,? cant wait to see /
Still planning Sidetracked '20 but it will be happening, cant let covid win this one.
Omg no is this the last ep? Been loving it. Where to for sidetracked 20? @sidetracked.australia
Just in planning stages now due to covid. You'll have to wait and see.
Heya Sidetracked-Crew - Once again, awesome content!!!!
So what exactly happend/what was the problem with the Patrol / Diesel at the end? Explained for a non mechanic / Patrol owner :-)
Take care and keep those videos comming, greetings from Germany ;-)
Seb
Cheers mate. The patrol had a shagged fuel cut off solenoid. Basically the electronic valve that shuts when you turn the key off. This one wouldn't open, so the motor couldn't get any fuel and therefore not start.
@@SIDETRACKED I'm dealing with the same thing. Tiny little bit of kit that stops the show. Looking forward to your next series.
These are as good as Shauno and Graham :D
Hey guys, I was watching you do an expose on the things you've done to the TD4. 2. In that interview you mentioned the cost jump on the 4.2 they hold a their prices really well. I'm looking @ an 2005. 50k, they having a lend or about right? A bit left of field but....
Very hard without seeing the vehicle but it wouldn't be out of the question.
@@SIDETRACKED Thankyou for responding I know it is a bit left of field.. Keep up the good work! Thanks for the channel!
Really a good idea to drive at low tide to save the red capped plovers and also your vehicles.
Please drive around the flocks of crested turns (if there are any left) they need to rest between feeding
I can’t believe after all that you didn’t go to explore Fraser Island
Depressing
Ohhhh we know. we'll be back up there.
probably that Colorado guy didn't want to keep stopping he probably had jumper leads anyway lol
Nice video 👍guys. I like Australia 🇦🇺. I from 🇺🇦 Ukraine. 3 years ago I lived and worked in New Zealand in Auckland city.. But in Australia live many venon snacks, spiders... Venom animals.
Дмитрий Нестеров Yeah mate, and they all taste great. 🍺🇦🇺
I missed what went wrong with the Patrol. What was that small part that the guys said was faulty?
Fuel shut off solenoid. Turns the fuel off when you turn the truck off and if it fails your engine won't start.
Yep, Mungbeans all over it.
so what was the issue with the Patrol?
The forklift engine
Fuel stop solenoid gave up.
@@SIDETRACKED Are you going to carry a spare, or is that too rare?
Ahhh apparently its rare but it is a tiny item. One might get thrown in the spares box.
What awning is on the patrol
Thats a supa peg rapid 6
Come to New Zealand guys
Its is definitely on the bucket list. Just a little more involved getting the rigs over there.
Anyone else notice the ol 4jj1 colly didn’t break
Down ? 😂
Of course not. It's a colly.
Sidetracked 20 - Fraser Island take 2?
Won't be Sidetracked 20' but it will happen.
@@SIDETRACKED I did it it october last year, drove up from SE Vic. It was incredible! At least now you have an opportunity to spend a few more days on the island than you had planned this time around! 4 days is just enough for a taste, I reckon a week is perfect! We went up the Newell to Hervey Bay, then did a week on fraser and went home via brissy and the glasshouse mountains, Byron bay, Coffs, Port Maq, through Barrington Tops visiting Drifta HQ then out of Barrington to singleton and the putty road into the blue mountains and Katoomba, Jenolan Caves, Canberra and home. Awesome trip and some excellent 4wding.
Solenoid. I found it mentioned in the comments.
Up the 4jj1
1st one great video
that's probably the reason that guy got a colorado
Shhhh
3 cars, 2 have done how many thousands of k's now.
Not one set of jumper leads.🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Yep, that item was still sitting in the workshop. Not next time.
The current 'dislikes' are from non 4wd owners....
Two Toyota owners pressed the unlike button... So much hate in the world!
i have a 79 and a Patrol
Rolly B Why did you press the unlike button? What arguments you have?
@@bogdanhh you put a smile on my face
Rolly B :) I’m happy I could to that! Cheers buddy!
Sell the Nissan mate and get a Toyota or Isuzu
You watch too much 4wd Action.
hahaha change our names to Graham and Shauno as well? Can't hate on the patrol for one relatively small issue.
That’s it I got a Toyota but every day still on the hunt for a good gu td 42 💪🏻
If it was a VDJ , with that much water in the fuel system, it would have gone bang.
