Waking up and leaving behind another incredible campsite, the Sidetracked crew finish off the last leg of the Old Telegraph Track and have their sights set on the Old Coach Road. Its hot, its dusty and it comes with a seriously close call that almost sees the Jeep rolling away on its own steam.

I think what I love the most is your advocacy towards keeping the tracks clean and being responsible of the environment. I see trash left everywhere on trails and it's disgusting. Keep preaching it.

Geezuz that was lucky with the handbrake!! That happened to me on a peninsula, vehicle rolled 2 car lengths into 3 foot scrub and stopped - another car length and it woulda dropped off a 3 metre ledge into a deep river🤣
That Jeep has some serious front axles. Great to see the two flexing their way through. Refreshing to see something other than a 76/79. I like those wrangler tyres, thinking of running them next year on our trip up there. Great video guys🤙

Loving the series fellas! I was at Fraser last year, this is making me wish that I had of bitten the bullet and hit up cape york on the same trip! Definitely on the cards for when all this BS is over..

In regards to ur axle seals, take a look at the trail safe inner axle seal. Its double lipped, and its by far the best seal ive used in my patrol that lasts the longest between leaks. Can get em from superior or off ebay road runner 4x4 ect. They are like 2 for 50 bucks or so. You wont be disappointed by their performance. The wheel bearing grease, you should change it to marine grease its a bit more sticky. That clay based hi temp stuff seems to wash out to quick on a 4x4 that sees river crossings and bog holes.

I don't trust a handbrake alone, in any vehicle. It works best as a backup to your transmission. Has he adjusted the brake, in the drum? If he uses it a fair bit, like any brake, there will be wear and need adjustment.
Yeah adjusted it, replaced it and after this tried modifying it. Still useless.
@@SIDETRACKED That's crappy. The same thing happened to The Road Chose Me. His Jeep landed on its side, damaging a lot of the passenger side.

What is the best time to take on the Cape??? We will be travelling with some stock 4WD's so we wont be wanting to break records or vehicles lol...Any advice would be awesome!

I swear they just added the click sound so it would sound right to pass ADR lol About the only part that works on em! Get a couple extra spings in there though and comes good FYI

We carried hi lifts for years and never had to use them for anything a normal bottle jack couldn't do. Excess weight that was unnecessary for us.

All the gear no idea ! To much made up drama and you did not show much of the coach road . To do it in 6 hours you must have been flogging the hell out of your vehicles. I do the track on average 5 times a year solo in stock vehicles

David Bird no envy on my part at all it is all about misrepresentation of the track . It is in my backyard if anything they should be jealous.
Great videos guy's. I reckon they'd be even better without the music. The music gives your videos that cheesy vanlife vibe. To be honest the music makes it hard to watch for me personally and it's a shame because your footage is top shelf stuff.
