all iam saying while watching ur videos is "this guy is good.. this guy is so good" i had to focus real hard to actually learn a thing or 2 even tho i dont play abathur :D nice videos man keep it up
I love that his build is identical to my own, lol. Except that I often pick the Vile Nest or Needlespine upgrades for a little more anti-hero capability. Still, I've turned around so many matches with this build. It's funny too because people always call me out for using it. They seem to think the hat stuff is way better but then I backdoor the enemy core or win with mercs or I give them some extra unit tanking for taking down a fort just when they need it. The only instance where I've noticed a weakness with this build is on the new map. The one where you can't actually damage the enemy core yourself and have to capture the points. That one is pretty tough for me.
Hey Abathur, you mention at about 10 minutes which maps you use which Abathur builds on... I was wondering what you think about the viability of a mine build on Blackheart's Bay? I have had some pretty decent success on that map using a mine build to prevent enemy turn-ins. Is there a particular reason you prefer Locust build on that map? Is it just that the map is so huge?
Well you could TELL them at the beginning of the game what to do when they have symbiote on. Or... you know... just DONT play qm with Abby. He was made for team coordination and pro teams, not random scrubs.
I agree with how Monstrosity sucks, but I see enemy Abathurs use it. What annoys me is that my team hardly pays attention to it, just not caring. It does some major lane pushes, but that's all he can do. Pisses me off when team don't react to it. Makes that Abathur thing Monstrosity is useful.
+WildNaru7 He often refers to it as a Noob Slayer- teams that aren't paying attention at all will sometimes get slaughtered by it, but it doesn't work against teams with their head in the game. That applies to almost every ability in the game though, so it's not an impressive measure. Compare to Evolution, which will always be a threat even to smart opponents because of how useful it is.
+WildNaru7 I use this exact build and I mostly find myself using the monstrosity as a sort of fire and forget ability. Like on this map where the tribute spawns and everyone runs for it. I'll spawn a monstrosity in top lane while it's empty and I'm in mid so that it is at least getting pushed. It's also sometimes a really good get away plan too. If you're out in the lane with your actual self and get jumped you can quick drop a locust brood and a monstrosity right on top of another player. Usually it will get them to back off but in most situations I've found that they ignore the mobs and kill me only to die themselves because of my spawns.
Have always preferred monstrosity... Mostly due to inefficient evolution... Too limited in duration by comparison... Unable to benefit from Symbiote upgrades... Needs improvement.
cakekiller90 Clones vastly over-perform over a hatted Evolution. A Clone Li-Ming can dish out more damage, a cloned Morales can dish out more healing/protection, a cloned Johanna can tank more damage. Monstrosity has a similar or lesser Duration against a half-competent team that is paying any attention to lanes. Sure, it wrecks team that ignore it, but that team was going to lose anyways, so those wins are null. Accounting for a second Li-Ming that could appear at any time in a teamfight is much, much harder to deal with.

Just use symbiote build on that one.
Please, do more abathur videos!!!!
good video!

+Matthew Cameron I think a majority of his builds are viable on all the maps, I just state my preferences in the video :)
Abathur great game! One question: when is good to pick aba , when i should never pick it?
+claudio filho i only NEVER pick him on tomb of the spider queen, otherwise hes a safe pick
how would you backdoor against teams that use mule
+RAPIDFIRE509 You still can, your locusts will typically out damage the mule late game
Did the mine build never come? : o
how did you know zeratul was there at 5:44
Question:How did you get the name abathur...
In QM's I find that other players often waste my symbiosis by instantly running out of the fight as I hat them - do you ever try to school them?
Well you could TELL them at the beginning of the game what to do when they have symbiote on. Or... you know... just DONT play qm with Abby. He was made for team coordination and pro teams, not random scrubs.
This is assuming QMs read chat. And hell no! All heroes should be QM playable.
why drop a mule when the boss's health gets low?
Tanks some core shots

Samuel Spence Well said, and I agree. It still annoys me when the team don't pay any attention to it, but I do.
