@@zaacckatbo1341 Haoyu Cai mentioned they started building the Honkai universe long before genshin (2014) and that's why we have, during Nagazora (thunders over nagazora arc), a view of Dvalin in honkai being observed by Otto. It is not a separate tree. Tree structure posits that one branch could further branch out into more and have leaves of their own. Each leaf being a representation of each individual civilization that exists on that same sub branch. Honkai impact, star rail, and genshin impact are all in one main branch. There is no separate tree. There are separate worlds within one universe and civilizations in each world. See chapter 17 about Otto saying there is only one tree and one sea (referring to the IMG tree and Sea of Quanta), as well as hints dropped by su in the second key manga for reference. I can understand why people would make this mistake but the concept of the img tree stems (intended) from the idea of Yggdrasil from Norse mythology. There is only one. The difference is that instead of nine realms we have universes and worlds within universes so it operates on a much larger scale. So no, there is no other tree to speak of.

The reason why Otto looked so much like Luocha at 8:22 is literally because Luocha's designed is based off the Visual Novel where this took place, Seven Swords. The same thing for the girl who he was carrying, which is Li Sushang(or just Sushang as we know her in Star Rail). Now, what exactly Luocha is doing in Star Rail? No one knows yet. But because of Otto, no one really trusts him. Even Welt was very suspicious at first.

HSR states that to travel the way the the train and other eminators travels they need the ability to manipulate imaginary energy. Otto and Loucha are different, but let's just say that Loucha is the Alternative version of Otto. HI3 is very complex but you could say this is the basis of knowledge in HOYOVERSE. In HI3, travel between universes (parallel universes) is normal and now they are starting to explore their universe. In Part 2, it tells about earth troops who go to Mars to investigate something there but they end up exploring Mars from another parallel universe.
Welt is definitely in this game, but as a side character. There's a video of his entire lore. Also, there's a reason why a lot of people theory about the coffin that he delivered especially the Character Trailer of him. Is Kallen, because of his hI3rd Counter part. On the Lore of Luocha. The Coffin sometimes stabs him with flowers with thorns.
Another thing to note is that Welt is the only character in hsr currently to directly come from hi3rd while loucha himeko bronya and others are just alternate counterparts like shogun and mei
I like Otto a lot! he is an amazingly written villain :D. And like many other I would recommend the Homu Labs video about welt since he is a wholesome gigachad. He was way more powerful back in the day but luckily he managed to keep a fraction of his power (He is 82 btw XD, The video explains why he still looks like he's 40/50)
To add to what some of the others are saying, the stories of Genshin and Honkai aren't connected (at least not as of now, perhaps hoyoverse will eventually add a plot twist but that's neither here nor there). They do exist within some capacity of each other though. I believe it was in a trailer, but at some point, Otto is shown to be observing Dvalin (I haven't played Genshin in awhile so I might be spelling that wrong) through his connection to the world tree, so, we can assume that travel between the two isn't impossible but both worlds are completely independent of each other. None of the events that take place in Genshin are a consequence of Honkai and vice versa. Also, regarding Kallen, Otto was indeed in love with Kallen, but it was one-sided. She wasn't his woman as she was in love with someone else. That didn't seem to matter to him, however.

Tbh, i think "because of you" is the best one if ur totally new. Its background is the most obscure and u gotta know whats going on so its not too spoiler heavy, and is also one of the less confusing ones without any context imo. Just a group taking on and killing a big monster in a digital world. In other words, its more easily appreciated if u have no clue whats happening. But if u know the context it hits hella different. Thus spoke apocalypse is just kinda confusing at the end if u dk the context and ppl tend to mistake kallen for kiana so its kinda misleading. Many players misunderstand. that Honkai impact and Genshin impact are stories within the same multiverse, and while physically connected, they belong to different realms. Honkai impact is a leaf in an imaginary tree, while Genshin impact is a quantum sea bubble.
the game it self for global version is already 5 year. and what you see is ending for the most hated villain char for all captain that play from release. He is the main villain and have the most worst morale but also the most smart villain (even make me set him as standard for any smart villain in anime and game) that not only just revive his Kallen but also prepare everything like how to make strong other char for fight honkai and can protect the world. If you want the new fresh version of HI3 (Honkai Impact 3) you can wait the part 2.0 with all new system from menu to battle, story and char next year.

Well, he didn't exactly go to visit Sushang, he met her along the way. His true intention for that trip was to see if Fu Hua (who was basically seen as a goddess at the time) knew how to bring someone back from the dead.
WAIT YOU'RE RIGHT WTF?! I clearly remember the quest in HSR beginning with sushang and luocha arriving at a brand new place together and I found it to odd for those two characters with completely different personalities to be hanging out together
To clear things up Otto Apocalypse is not a hero, he's the main villain of the game who killed countless people and even some of the cast of characters. What he's doing here is saving one girl while killing everybody else, he's selfish. He would rather let the world die than accept that the woman he loves is dead. Also Kallen is willing to die for the people because she's so kind that she says if that's what gonna make the people happy and feel safe then she'll gladly die. They're hangin her because she let a herrscher live that Herrscher is Yae Sakura, she's the herrscher of corruption, the reason why kallen let her live is because she fell in love with her and kallen says there's still good inside of her and because of that they think kallen is a witch or something. And you're probably wondering what's a herrscher basically think of them as a much stronger and more destructive archons from genshin, they're goal is to follow their god "The Honkai" by destroying humanity because "Honkai" thinks they're a pest in the earth. These herrschers can destroy a country only by their awakening and can level a continent with their power and if they evolve enough the can singlehandedly destroy a whole planet and there's 14 of them each with different abilities Yae Sakura is the 12 herrscher. Btw if you didn't already know the white haired girl is kallen.
The girl to be hanged was abiding by her punishment because she committed a big crime. The blonde dude is MADLY in love with her, and sent the white and pink honkai beast as a distraction so he could free her of that situation. Unfortunately, Because the girl is a hero, she died trying to fight the beast, making otto the murderer.
Well you can watch hi3 all animated short for little bit context, and for hi3 players just see Loucha/Otto appears in HSR reminds of bad memories, even welt feels traumatic xD
Yes, HI3rd and Genshin share the... omniverse, I guess, since HI3rd has it's own multiverse. Otto (guy from this video) at the end of chapter 17 in HI3rd saw the world of Genshin, and the developers straight up confirmed themselves that it was indeed Teyvat and he saw Dvalin.
All Hoyoverse games are part of Bubble Universe (or Honkaiverse by fans), different worlds that follow same principles. They are all indirectly associated with each other. You will see character with identical look and first name across games that are 2 different people, or that universe's representation of that character. So far only Welt is the same character in HI3 and Star Rail, Otto in HI3 is dead and Luocha is his Star Rail version, entirely different person (Luocha might not even be his real name). Bronya from HI3 is not the same as HaxxorBunny in the same game and also not related to Bronya or SilverWolf in Star Rail, they are all different versions of Bronya across different Bubble Universe.
so many people talk about the multiverse, but the fact is that there is no multiverse. English translation has errors and it is better to check information in the original Chinese translation. The word "worlds" was translated as "universes" which is mistake. Bubble universes are also mistake, in fact, they are bubble worlds. Star Rail is not a bubble world, bubble worlds are leafs (leafs are worlds on a tree) that lost to honkai and fall into the sea of quanta. But all this does not happen literally, it is a metaphor, if I may say so. In fact, the destroyed world does not fall anywhere because worlds are planets. When a world is destroyed, a copy of it appears in the sea of quanta. First teaser of genshin was even before its release in HI3rd story when Otto saw it as another world on an imaginary tree as I understand it, the games have one universe, but plot will not be connected in any way, this was mentioned even in the official GI discord server a very long time ago. Otto Apocalypse, a man many love to hate and hate to love and also the reason for Welt's PTSD when he saw Luocha in Star Rail XD If you do decide to check out more Honkai stuff or even play it you'll be seeing more familiar faces as a good chunk of the main cast already has alternate versions of themselves in Star Rail and we will likely see more in the future. A word of warning if you do decide to play, chapters 1-4 are boring as fuck both gameplay and storywise (sorry Wendy), 5-6 start laying the ground work for the story proper, 7-8 the story truly begins
Please don't try to tie the two games together.Yes, these games share a common view of the world, and you may see similar characters in different games, but this is more like an Easter egg, it does not affect the development of the story, each game is essentially independent.
In terms of storytelling, the Honkai series excels much more than Genshin. Genshin has great worldbuilding, lore and gameplay, but Honkai’s game is combat and story. And I’m a sucker for a good story. A lot of these animations can be very confusing if you watch them without context, but with context, they’re masterpieces.

Another thing to note is that Welt is the only character in hsr currently to directly come from hi3rd while loucha himeko bronya and others are just alternate counterparts like shogun and mei
I like Otto a lot! he is an amazingly written villain :D. And like many other I would recommend the Homu Labs video about welt since he is a wholesome gigachad. He was way more powerful back in the day but luckily he managed to keep a fraction of his power (He is 82 btw XD, The video explains why he still looks like he's 40/50)

To add to what some of the others are saying, the stories of Genshin and Honkai aren't connected (at least not as of now, perhaps hoyoverse will eventually add a plot twist but that's neither here nor there). They do exist within some capacity of each other though. I believe it was in a trailer, but at some point, Otto is shown to be observing Dvalin (I haven't played Genshin in awhile so I might be spelling that wrong) through his connection to the world tree, so, we can assume that travel between the two isn't impossible but both worlds are completely independent of each other. None of the events that take place in Genshin are a consequence of Honkai and vice versa.
Also, regarding Kallen, Otto was indeed in love with Kallen, but it was one-sided. She wasn't his woman as she was in love with someone else. That didn't seem to matter to him, however.
I feel like kallen had some feelings for him at least beacuse in ggz witch has pretty much the same backstory but kallen goes with otto they get married in that universe I do think Kallen fell in love with yae more this time tho

Tbh, i think "because of you" is the best one if ur totally new. Its background is the most obscure and u gotta know whats going on so its not too spoiler heavy, and is also one of the less confusing ones without any context imo. Just a group taking on and killing a big monster in a digital world. In other words, its more easily appreciated if u have no clue whats happening. But if u know the context it hits hella different.
Thus spoke apocalypse is just kinda confusing at the end if u dk the context and ppl tend to mistake kallen for kiana so its kinda misleading.
Also this guy, otto apocalypse, is literally why Welt has ptsd flashbacks when he sees luocha in star rail. Welt is canonically the same guy and he looks pretty much exactly the same. Except for his joachim clone i guess.
Fun fact: welt's real name is joachim. The welt name and power are inherited. Thats what he means by "the weight if this power" in his hsr ult

Explanation: That cube is the Void Archives, after the death of Otto Apocalipse (What you see in this cinematic) Void Archives takes the look of Otto and later he goes to traveling with Welt.
Now, you probably know, that in Star Rail Himeko pick up Welt when he travelled with someone else. And when Welt saw Luchoa he remembered Otto and Void Archives.

The tree in the animation are abstract representations of trees that connect the main worlds in "HoYoverse." Currently, this includes the worlds traveled in "honkai impact 3rd" and "HSR." The world of "Genshin" is a world of bubbles floating in the quantum sea surrounding this tree. Most of the bubbles floating in the quantum sea are composed of information spilled from the tree.

The tree is called the imaginary tree (where all the bubble universes of hoyoverse "all the games" are) and there Otto wants to save Kallen from her death (which she caused by releasing that honkai beast) by creating another bubble universe where she "he lives" and the short ones since he picks up the plane "the adult" is all that happened in the original line "kallen dead, him traveling all over the world and doing everything human" and there is the theory that loucha is void archive (the cube left at the end)

Well, he didn't exactly go to visit Sushang, he met her along the way. His true intention for that trip was to see if Fu Hua (who was basically seen as a goddess at the time) knew how to bring someone back from the dead.

Otto Apocalypse is not a hero, he's the main villain of the game who killed countless people and even some of the cast of characters.
What he's doing here is saving one girl while killing everybody else, he's selfish. He would rather let the world die than accept that the woman he loves is dead.
Also Kallen is willing to die for the people because she's so kind that she says if that's what gonna make the people happy and feel safe then she'll gladly die.
They're hangin her because she let a herrscher live that Herrscher is Yae Sakura, she's the herrscher of corruption, the reason why kallen let her live is because she fell in love with her and kallen says there's still good inside of her and because of that they think kallen is a witch or something.
And you're probably wondering what's a herrscher basically think of them as a much stronger and more destructive archons from genshin, they're goal is to follow their god "The Honkai" by destroying humanity because "Honkai" thinks they're a pest in the earth.
These herrschers can destroy a country only by their awakening and can level a continent with their power and if they evolve enough the can singlehandedly destroy a whole planet and there's 14 of them each with different abilities Yae Sakura is the 12 herrscher.

The blonde dude is MADLY in love with her, and sent the white and pink honkai beast as a distraction so he could free her of that situation. Yes, HI3rd and Genshin share the... omniverse, I guess, since HI3rd has it's own multiverse. Otto (guy from this video) at the end of chapter 17 in HI3rd saw the world of Genshin, and the developers straight up confirmed themselves that it was indeed Teyvat and he saw Dvalin.

All Hoyoverse games are part of Bubble Universe (or Honkaiverse by fans), different worlds that follow same principles. They are all indirectly associated with each other.
You will see character with identical look and first name across games that are 2 different people, or that universe's representation of that character.
So far only Welt is the same character in HI3 and Star Rail, Otto in HI3 is dead and Luocha is his Star Rail version, entirely different person (Luocha might not even be his real name).
Bronya from HI3 is not the same as HaxxorBunny in the same game and also not related to Bronya or SilverWolf in Star Rail, they are all different versions of Bronya across different Bubble Universe.

so many people talk about the multiverse, but the fact is that there is no multiverse. English translation has errors and it is better to check information in the original Chinese translation. The word "worlds" was translated as "universes" which is mistake. Bubble universes are also mistake, in fact, they are bubble worlds. Star Rail is not a bubble world, bubble worlds are leafs (leafs are worlds on a tree) that lost to honkai and fall into the sea of quanta. But all this does not happen literally, it is a metaphor, if I may say so. In fact, the destroyed world does not fall anywhere because worlds are planets. When a world is destroyed, a copy of it appears in the sea of quanta. (worlds in the sea of quanta can be compared to a reflection of the real world, they are similar, but at the same time different) The fact that worlds are planets is also confirmed by Star Rail showing us that on different planets there can be two people identical in appearance (Silver Wolf and Bronya). Welt also said that they could meet, for example, another version of March 7th. In the end it turns out like this - there is one Universe, in this universe there is an imaginary tree, on the imaginary tree there are leafs, the leafs are worlds, the worlds are planets, in this universe at the roots of the tree (or around, I don’t remember exactly) there is a sea of quanta.
Your explanation is almost correct. But as for the multiverse, Cai Haoyu explained at GDC in 2022 that HoYoverse is a kind of multiverse.

If you do decide to check out more Honkai stuff or even play it you'll be seeing more familiar faces as a good chunk of the main cast already has alternate versions of themselves in Star Rail and we will likely see more in the future.
A word of warning if you do decide to play, chapters 1-4 are boring as fuck both gameplay and storywise (sorry Wendy), 5-6 start laying the ground work for the story proper, 7-8 the story truly begins
Please don't try to tie the two games together.Yes, these games share a common view of the world, and you may see similar characters in different games, but this is more like an Easter egg, it does not affect the development of the story, each game is essentially independent.

In terms of storytelling, the Honkai series excels much more than Genshin. Genshin has great worldbuilding, lore and gameplay, but Honkai’s game is combat and story. And I’m a sucker for a good story.
A lot of these animations can be very confusing if you watch them without context, but with context, they’re masterpieces.
