Very true on the 10 hour shifts I have seen the managers open up a station and decant in front of a slowed down employee in the 6th 7th hour to show them this is how fast your suppose to go. Of course there fresh out of the start while the employee is worn out. Just horrible and unfair. They expect you never to be tired and keep that speed rate high all the way to the end. F Amazon !!!! They should be investigated!
i work there and its a sweatshop, sometimes we laugh and have fun but people are lifting things that they cannot carry over their heads from the floor up. You get sore, but they say its normal. People are sweating bullets
The problem is the high demand and not enough positions being filled fast enough 😥 this can happen in any popular facility I'm sure not intentionally but it's hard to change things when the way you do things actually makes the company flourish
Great job minimizing all of the claims from legitimate employees and completely failing to actually address any of the claims Jeff Bezos.... I can only imagine what all of those employees thought to themselves privately while reading that complete and other garbage email
They know they are taking retail over based on forcing consumers to purchase through them. It's that kind of arrogance that allows to think they can miss treat employees. Only way to fight back is to order direct from the seller or through alternate ecommerce sites. Ebay, Shop through direct websites and yes go to the mall.
I was there three months, and I left along with four other co-workers when they refused another a day off to go to her brother’s funeral. I got a low performance rating as well when I opted not to do overtime one night, I did it every other time I was asked before then, the one time I said no I got sanctioned for it
I caught the flu during peak season, body aches vomiting etc. Unfortunately, days were 11hrs 6 days a week, due to upt system I was negative rather quick and asked to resign. 1st time in my 20 yr work life was a asked to resign.
Maybe people need to start boycotting amazon! I know it's easy to say, but it can be done! They would have no choice but to start treating employees like humans!! Without employees customers can't receive orders, without customers there is no need for employees! The average person in numbers has A LOT OF POWER!!!!!
My advice, don't even apply for a job at a company that treats it's employees this way. That would go for American Airlines reservation centers also. Pretty much the same deal as far as the way they treat their employees. I, unfortunately worked at one of their centers and was asked about a bathroom break I took. There was nothing exceptionally long about that bathroom break and it wasn't a recurring theme that I always went at the same time. I went pee and took the normal amount of time it takes to go pee, but was lectured that I should try to go pee during my scheduled breaks! Really!?
Lol 80hr work weeks where at cause we not even getting 20hrs right now, but they keep say ing peak season coming up where we max at 60hrs. But i did get sick turned out i had pneumonia the hosptial took me out of school and work(guess where) and i lost almost all of my upt(unpaid time off) which isnt exclusive to sick days (we dont get those) upt is used for sick days vacation or just days you dont wanna come in. So it was looked at as if i just didnt wanna come in to work as oppose to me being really sick unable to.
bullet5760 I was thinking the same thing we have to fight to get at least 20 hours the only time that it can be possibly conceived 80 hours is during peak time does if you make it to pick time working as a white badge or if you are a full-time employee
@@n1sugarbaby69 it gets easier to get hours if you learn more. For example at my sort center I learned to do everything from pit, to closing, to even running the floor as a PA. The more you know how to do, the more hours you can-get because you can fill in anywhere they need people. Just my thought. Helped me get accumulate more sick time.

Soulfuln€$$ yeah somewhere by weekly in Somers weekly somewhere house don't have to take off and some do it just depends on where you are and where you live the downside is everywhere though all facility doesn't have pick off so that means you have to scan very quickly as well as stack the boxes wrap them and Stadium and you got to do that timely a lot of running back and forth literally I mean if you're looking to lose weight this would be the job to go to LOL
The only laughing seems to be Jeff Bezos....
Of course she is an executive. How can you invent for the future, when they hire anyone off the streets
i work there and its a sweatshop, sometimes we laugh and have fun but people are lifting things that they cannot carry over their heads from the floor up. You get sore, but they say its normal. People are sweating bullets
Getting satisfaction from a staffing temp agency is like sticking a square peg into a small round hole!
Amazon Workers Laughing? Not likely. but the Amazon fearless leader might be laughing all the way to the bank!
We consumers can unite against Amazon Behemoth and bring it down altogether!!! Let's stop buying from them.
I rather be on the dole than work for this disspicaple company!!
Terrible company to work for
Simple solution, don't buy from Amazon, you don't need to, they are plenty of competitors and some even with less prices!
The emails are a joke.
They know they are taking retail over based on forcing consumers to purchase through them. It's that kind of arrogance that allows to think they can miss treat employees. Only way to fight back is to order direct from the seller or through alternate ecommerce sites. Ebay, Shop through direct websites and yes go to the mall.
Executives and normal workers are too different people
I was there three months, and I left along with four other co-workers when they refused another a day off to go to her brother’s funeral.
Too bad I liked Amazon , but now I won't support them.
Jeff needs to go under cover and work at his one of those warehouses!
Amazon is not the world's largest retailer by a long shot, there just about half the revenue of Wal Mart...
I feel bad for ordering my earrings from Amazon.....
Closed my amazon account after seeing some of this stuff
Maybe people need to start boycotting amazon! I know it's easy to say, but it can be done! They would have no choice but to start treating employees like humans!! Without employees customers can't receive orders, without customers there is no need for employees! The average person in numbers has A LOT OF POWER!!!!!
You think Amazon is bad. UPS is worst.
I work at UPS too. I'm wondering if it's possible Amazon could be any worse!?
My advice, don't even apply for a job at a company that treats it's employees this way. That would go for American Airlines reservation centers also. Pretty much the same deal as far as the way they treat their employees. I, unfortunately worked at one of their centers and was asked about a bathroom break I took. There was nothing exceptionally long about that bathroom break and it wasn't a recurring theme that I always went at the same time. I went pee and took the normal amount of time it takes to go pee, but was lectured that I should try to go pee during my scheduled breaks! Really!?
F them...Ill fly with someone else. Thanks for the heads up.
Karma ,baby his is coming
Use Amazon to gain experience then find another company to work for who appreciate their staff even that's hard to find in today's world
Lol 80hr work weeks where at cause we not even getting 20hrs right now, but they keep say ing peak season coming up where we max at 60hrs.
I will never order anything again ever from Amazon. Just like working in the needletrade.
3 words; You're ALL Fired!
Amazon and Capitalism overall is f-cking-us-over so-hard, you wouldnt belief it, but: EARTH is RUNNING OUTTA WATER: The UA-camr Some More News made videos about it, just like Second Thought. I recommend it to literally all.
Y’all this is sad
I worked there and the manager pushed me! I was like ok I’m out of here.
Those Amazon employees are just like moving parts in a lifeless machine. Time for Amazon to bring in the spin doctors. I'm thinking twice about buying from Amazon.
Bro i missed one day to take my mom to the hospital and they told me that wasn't an emergency onless someone have corona or die in my house that's an emergency likr bro wtf.
That awkward moment when the CEO is trying to employee people from a country which doesn't already meet his standards.
couple weeks ago, I had 4 orders from amazon. I had 2 overcharged and did not send products to me, terrible amazon...
I love how the executive does not think it is a bad place at all to work. How about asking someone at the lower levels to confirm her conclusions.
No one esxposes Amazon like 'Second Thought'
in his videos about Capitalism and even if its even Efficient.
I'm sure the people who ran the workhouses had similar defenses for their brutal work conditions.
Business is the devil.
There's a difference between having a high standard and cruelty.
tell this to Tenneco and Jim Perdue, Walmart or McDonald's. they dont give 2shits worth about the Employee at all. they want robots instead of humans for all they care
