  • I was expecting deep penetration and passthrough from this load but was very surprised to see some substantial energy release on one of the shots..

Excellent! Now I'll stick with 125/150's for supersonic deer loads.
Flat base Speer hot cor will do the trick.

The time you have put in these tests are insane! Thank you for this series!
Quick question, how do ya like the Garmin chronograph? For years ive used the Alpha chrony and still do, but ive been contemplating on getting the Garmin. Ive noticed you get a few "no reads" . Is this a problem with the garmin or just the learning curve? Thanks again sir!

@@preacherbiggin All in all I like the Garmin. I’ve used a Maxwell Pro-chrono for years with good results too though.
Pro’s for the Garmin, the small package, quick setup, rechargeable battery and easy data import to my phone make a few extra missed shots still worth it.
My issues with it are, it will miss rapid fired shots, you have to have the slow velocity selected if your shooting subs, muzzle blast from a comp will cause it to not read (probably my biggest reason for it not reading). I wish the phone app had more space to input hand load data.
I have no regrets getting it. 😉
