This Rossi is comparable to Taurus 856 38 or S&W Model 60 , 357 seems a little much for this size frame height, 38 and 38 p. are hot enough. The larger frame 686 would be much better for 357 .

Hey just want to let you know that the 46M is NOT designed for rimfire and SilencerCo will not warranty it - I asked about it along with my other guns and got the following response: "Everything looks good except for 22lr. That suppressor cannot shoot rimfire without destroying it. Rimfire has heavily fouling characteristics, and because of this, you need a suppressor specially designed to be properly maintenanced for that caliber. The fouling will destroy the suppressor by permanently sealing up the baffles. In order to shoot rimfire, you will need a suppressor designed for it. Knowingly shooting 22lr in that silencer will void your warranty, so if it ever comes in for damages, or any other reason for repair, we will charge you for the repair, as it is very easy for us to tell if 22lr has ever been shot in the silencer. "

There is already 2 diffenet safety on these lever actions, why this idiotic button/lever??? First, do not chamber a cartridge if you are not ready to shoot (for example your gun is on the backseat or in the saddle holster). Second, the half cock position. One more, why???

    • @kentuckyrangetime

thanks for the test! I found similar with the .224 in both 32 gr & 38 gr they also did not have any base that continues straight (used in 5.7 x 28). Just fracturing petals the entire length. I was pretty agitated at first because of what I saw in the heavier .224 & .308 bullets and expected a base. In the end, I found other choices that do that, so I now prefer having the full-fracture as an option and do have some loaded in defensive magazine. They have an Xtreme Chaos now that is designed to have a base that actually expands or mushrooms a bit. Thinking about loading some of those in the ar-10. I'm wondering if they will even have a base at those speeds. Only one way to find out, I guess.

Excellent video About 8 Years ago I tested Alliant Power Pro 300 MP with a 125gr XTP out of a Smith and Wesson 686, 4 inch barrel. I loaded near max which is a compressed load. They may have changed this data since then I'm not sure. But I can't remember if it was the high 1400 or 1500 fps I was getting. This summer I am going to make up some loads with H110 and 300MP and now Lil gun. I've used Accurate no 9 and IMR 4227 but they act like they are position sensative. If you deliberately make the powder in the case sit next to the bullet as opposed to the primer then shoot you will see noticeable velocity changes with some powders.
