@juannaym8488 Yeah, but I think that back in the early 90s, people were genuinely not expecting a TV show to take such a dark turn even if Twin Peaks had already been pretty dark since the very beginning. TV shows in the 80s were a lot simpler in every way. Imagine being a regular person who just watches TV to relax and going from MacGyver and Cheers to Twin Peaks

Jodio being a psychopath is such a wonderful twist for the jojo's series. Even in part 5, the gangstars were all criminals with hearts of gold

Psychopathy is a mental condition. Having it doesn't condemn you into becoming a bad person, especially if you grow up in a supporting and loving family: that's what differentiates Part 8 Kira from his Part 4 counterpart

What if this rohan doesn't even have a stand or a different one?
A subtle joke is written where Jodio explains where he recognizes Rohan from, specifically in his line where he mentions that he watches the anime adaptations of his shows online. While services like netflix and such can obviously be used on computers, it's also common for people to pirate videos online, especially shows that are not aired locally, especially in japanese shows which can take months, years, or never reach american shores legally. This potentially adds the implication that Jodio frequently pirates video media.

I'm positive it can kill people if Jodio absolutely wanted to, but it seems like he can toggle the heaviness of the rain
Jodio seems to know the rules of the game, if he was close when a police officer was killed, even if they don't know it was him they now have a legal reason to interrogate and investigate him, however if it's just minor injuries then there isn't much the police can do about it (at least on the short run)

It's interesting to see how wealthy this version of Rohan appears to be. It is stated to not only be a famous mangaka, but also have his own anime, along with owning a villa in Hawaii AND in possession of a valuable diamond.
In the old universe, we only get to see glimpses of his wealth in TSKR, but never to this level, almost as if this version of Rohan turned out to be wildly popular and, therefore, super successful.
So original Rohan is Araki before JJBA got 2012 anime while this Rohan is Araki after JJBA got 2012 anime.

Imagine November Rain's limitation being that you have to be under the stand in order to be rained on
People are already speculating about Usagi being a secret antagonist, on the basis that - taking Jodio as the equivalent of Giorno - Usagi has a Stand named for a King Crimson song, and one that references 'rain that's falling'. The Alohaoe reference also seems to back this up since as well as the obvious Hawaii connection, it connects him to Elvis, who was the main villain's reference in part 8.

Yeah, I think it's just likely that he originally wanted to make a mangaka with Rohan allusions, but just decided to bring Rohan back in full. I wonder if he'll have Heaven's Door and if it'll have the same power.

Those theories about part 9 events merging with the original maybe true. I know later on in the story things will be different but that's why I said might be true or parallel to connecting to the original. I am just clarifying that elements of part 6 may happen along with part 5 like jodio going on the run but more with an emphasis on survival rather than when jolyne and giorno did it for justice

Since this Rohan is a different Rohan from the original universe, I think it'd be cool if Heaven's Door worked differently as well. Killer Queen worked differently in this universe as well as Hermit Purple so it'd be cool if Heaven's Door did as well.

I'm excited to see what this Rohan's stand is going to be like. Rohan may have Heaven's Door, but with a completely new ability, a similar ability with slight differences, or even a completely new stand. Something tells me Araki will likely keep the name Heaven's Door for Rohan's stand, tho. He *does* love Rohan the way he always has been.

The interesting thing about the mangaka quote you mentioned is that stands may be known by the average person as a myth rather than not being known by people not connected to stands

Rohan would to some level be known all over the world as even if one person in each town knew him word would easily spread as you could just look up chapters of his manga which would increase chances of knowing that stands existed if he stated so on a interview

I think a stand causing people to realise stands exist would need to be big like king crimson making everyone forget 10 seconds every so often or maid in heaven speeding up time (as they are unbelievable events that happen all over the world )

With Usagi I’m theorizing Araki will actually fulfill his original plan he had with Fugo and having him betray the group. Maybe Jodio, Dragona and Paco will betray Meryl May like like what Bucciaratis Squad did towards Diovalo given this part is set up as an alternative universe part 5.
She doesn't appear that hardcore yet, maybe the group that makes the drug will have the mafia role.
Incredible how JoJo fans already managed to set some expectations after chapter 1 and call Araki a bad writer for not fulfilling them. As well as assuming "Its exactly the same guy as in part 4, everything is the same, Araki is a fraud, he lied to us" after seeing one image of him and no dialogue

Rohan is fun and it's an awesome thing that we have someone recognizable who's also incredibly interesting in regards to what we assume based on Ol' Rohan's personality back then. There's a theory I've seen a lot, I don't know how plausible it can be but Rohan Kishibe could just be the writer name of Tsurugi Higashikata. I like this theory because they both have green hair and both their Stands are related to paper and can change in some way the person affected by their ability. Paper Moon King changes the perception of the victim, Heavens Door changes... well pretty much everything. The story is set after the Covid so between 2022 and 2023, Tsurugi, was 9 years old in 2011, so he would be 20-21 years old, which is the age of Rohan when introduced in part 4. I think that I'm overthinking but I really like this fun theory

I was expecting Rohan to eventually appear in the new universe, and even thought he might be the Japanese person since being both rich enough to buy a mansion and adventuring to exotic places for research is part of Rohan's MO, but I didn't expect the exact Kishibe Rohan.
I thought the fruit merchant in part 8 was the parallel to Rohan.
One thing I’ve always wondered is why Rohan mentions a higashikata estate in the thus spoke kishibe Rohan chapter where he poaches abalones. Because josuke from part 4 appears at the end of that chapter.
Imagine Kishibe Rohan is just a pen name and it's just an older Tsurugi who became a mangaka

The question on everyones mind last chapter is who Jodio and the others were going to rob. The question on my mind this chapter is whether Rohan is going to have the same version of Heavens Door, or if he’s going to have a new stand ability entirely.
I am so excited to see JOJOLANDS and the different parts of Hawai'i. Lots of the other places are familiar to me since I am born and raised here in Hawai'i. I would like to see how they pronounce certain 'olelo with their Japanese accents. I can't wait for part 9 to be released. Great video btw!

I think the reason why araki isnt adding descriptions for dragona and jodio's stands is cuz he doesn't want to misinform the reader or make the stands exceed the readers expectations, like soft and wet in part 8.
We got a description for The Hustler because its just a muscle deformation ability and nothing else. And Matte Kudasai was explained by Usagi.
Not necessarily connected to the Rohan reveal, but more so expectations for The JoJoLands, but I would love to see Araki explore lands or areas that could be kapu or sacred. Maybe they gain powers similar to devil's palms or have stand guardians? Just a thought I had. Was an awesome chapter, never thought it'd be Rohan 😂
Part 7 had Jesus, so maybe we will see some other gods be present as well?

I think it's just that Rohan is a universal constant. But hey Rohan could've traveled to this universe in the era of Part 6 and became an established author in this universe by the time of Part 8/9.
what if this is indeed a parallel universe Rohan, because Jodio mentions specifically that "- some books by him and I see *_HIS ANIME ONLINE_* all the time" - perhaps this parallel universe Rohan has indeed escalated from being only a mangaka into additionally being an anime producer and his Pink Dark Boy-manga has become successful enough adapted into anime, or his life has taken a different turn in this universe because he instead decided to translate his manga into english (which he was opposed to in part 4) and it gained popularity, thus got adapted into anime which Jodio is talking about
I'm guessing that Araki wants to make Thus Spokes in both universes so he introduces Rohan into the SBR universe

Rohan as a villain would be fun, especially with his initial antagonistic attitude in part 4. It could also serve to flip the heist and lead to the usurping of the principal's position similar to part 5, possibly through Heaven's door

One thing from the Poaching Seashore story that people are pointing to as evidence of Thus Spoke taking place in the SBR universe is that the titular shore is property of the Higashikata family. Everything else indicates that this is the DiU version of Morioh, but does anything in DiU indicate that the Higashikatas are actually this influential family like in Jojolion?

did you maybe happen to consider the possibility of this new Rohan being actually the one from newest one shots (Hot Summer Martha and Drip Painting Style), or in short, the possibility of the newest one shots being set up in SBR-verse already? I know there's absolutely no proof for that, but to be honest, there is no much proof for them to actually being set up in Ireneverse either (no strong reference to part 4 appears there). The fact alone that when we were awaiting part 9 the most, one year ago, we got that Kishibe Rohan one-shots instead, absolutely out of the blue. Surely, Araki wanted to refresh Rohan's character before his part 9 apperance but it would make sense if there was more to it, if he actually used this one-shots as something of "part 9 chapter 0" to set up some minor plotpoints (like Rohan's mental health issues, how he expiriences some fall into misery recently. That was definitly the focus of that one shots. Heck, maybe even the character of Bakin).
Anyway, I surely feel like if we cling too much to the supposed fact that all of TSKR features only the original Rohan we may unecesserly face second confusing surprise soon (yeah, Im mainly basing this of a fact two newest one-shots are yet to get volume realese so the statement about original Rohan from previous volumes may not apply)
THE Matte Kudasai is a riff on a Frances Yip song, because there are more than one 'matte kudasai' songs. The arc theme is ripoffs and counterfeits, inspired by isLANDS like Hong Kong and Hawaii.
Aloha'oe is also basically echoing 'Chotto Matte Kudasai' lyrics and resembles Distant Dreamer by Duffy, that Araki personally recommended for Stone Ocean. Meryl Mei qi resembels Frances Yip, and I'd say she resembles Dr. Ferdinand too.
One thing that I think could indicate that some chapters of TSKR take place in the SBRverse is that Poaching Seashore has Rohan note that the coastal land they're poaching on is owned by the Higashikata family.
It's certainly possible that Josuke decided to buy some coastal land with all that money he got after Tomoko unfroze his account, but in terms of Higashikatas who own a lot of land, it points to the Part 8 Higashikatas owning the coastal area and not the Part 4 Higashikatas.
Of course, that same chapter has Rohan interacting with Koichi, Okuyasu, and Josuke, but none of these characters are explicitly identified as them, and we know a Part 8 character who could pass for Josuke from behind in the right circumstances. It's not the most airtight theory, but it would be interesting and very much like Araki to quietly swap between universes at his leisure to prank us a bit.

Every arc will be an separate heist, and a old character from the other universe will appear (prob jojos too/like stand users attract its other like part 4/maybe the island have smt special) . I say this cause the Haiwaii may be the Jojo Land, the place where all Jojo characters will end up and fight in a big battle against dio or smt (I hope not dio).
