The Monkees on The Joey Bishop Show 1969

The Monkees, now Peter Tork-less, appeared in The Joey Bishop Show on Thursday 24th April 19690 to promote current single Someday Man as well as their upcoming tour. They sang live and were backed by soul group Sam and the Goodtimers. They perform a bluesy version of I'm A Believer, Someday Ma and then Listen To The Band.
Sadly, no video footage of this appearance has surfaced yet but the audio has been floating around for a while. What is presented here is the best quality audio recording of this appearance available and will be unique to most listeners. I have an even better copy of this audio on reel-to-reel. I was at the show's taping and my mom, R.I.P., held a microphone out of her car's window and recorded the whole show.

This is my absolute favorite line up of The Monkees. Their solo work was OK, but the chemistry among Davy, Micky, and Mike was just magic!
