This scene was really good. If only it made sense. He chases a dude and people presumably died from the explosions only because he wants info from the guy and it's astonishing that Penguin would survive that crash lol
That's the only thing that lets this scene down for me 😂 I really am forced to believe that there would be no repercussions for Batman after this. He could have just let Penguin go and tracked him down another day, but he insists on chasing him through oncoming traffic (probably just to test his badass jet car), causes a giant gasoline explosion (that definitely killed the driver at the very least, and would have killed him if fate didn't put that ramp in front of him), and ultimately caused a sports car to flip multiple times, in a glorious crash that would have killed or paralysed somebody in reality. Penguin wouldn't be able to answer any questions, let alone chew his food. I'm curious about the Maserati Quattro's safety rating now because that cabin is god-tier safe. I love this scene but the more I watch it I'm like yep, Bruce is going to jail. No way he walks away from this scot-free 😂 domestic terrorism level carnage for one guy. That and penguin's lack of airbags. The perfect film. Brilliantly made. A masterpiece.
1:45 they look each other when the truck is coming lol
This is an instant classic scene already. Will go down as one of the best Batman movie scenes in history. And of cinema overall.
Is ridiculous
@@stickyfingers4217 Yes, it is. Most iconic scenes in movie history are.
I think its funny, Batman killed/maimed 20 to 30 innocent people just to capture 1 middle aged fat guy.
Its like a live action team america
Angel Urbina - l think not.
@@stickyfingers4217 you are too
If there any trilogy of the batman, i'm sure this will the best batman movie in 20 years
This was easily one of the best bits in the film.
When penguin drives through the witch's hats, it reminds me of that scene from Pixar Cars 1 where Lightining McQueen drives through the witch's hats LOL!
I want to listen to this soundtrack when I’m driving on the highway
Highway yo the anger zone
That was intense. The game of chicken during the car chase was classic.
What a rugged car chase. I love how no airbags go off in Penguin's car.
Airbags are usually designed to go off if the front portion of the vehicle is smashed inward, judging by the way Penguins car landed, the front was relatively fine.
@@ArcticWolf00Alpha0 - 🤣
why would a villain needs an airbag
@@prabowotarantula524 - The same reason everyone else needs an airbag, l would imagine.
@@oddhominem he's a goddam villain. they won't need an airbaig ,they won't need a driving license, or brushing their teeth. they don't need a barber. they don't even carry their wallets. they can grab whatever they want at walmart
4:28 the song of the car is INSANE
Hard to believe it was Colin Farrell as the Penguin. What a performance!
Bro I’m sure at least 10 people just died in this chase
Right, nobody seems to have a problem with it. Then he just immediately let's the guy go with not so much as punching him for causing a huge pile up, killing people and causing massive property damage. Vengeance 😅
@@tylerbrowne9267 well you are right he cares about vengeance not poor people only at the end he cares.
@@tylerbrowne9267 A: the penguin caused a few explosions, at most one person died. B: Batman needs to stop the riddler first because he’s the biggest threat to the city at the current moment. C: it also emphasizes that Batman isn’t perfect and his tactics are rough.
This just looks like another day on the drive from I-670 to I-270 through Columbus.
0:12= Headlights ON..The Beast has Awakened!
Being a huge fan of muscle cars, this version of the Batmobile is my favorite. It's PERFECT.
I love how once you see the Bat Mobile ramping off and coming from the pit of fire the horror like music is playing like Batman is gonna get you.
The look of uttter terror as he makes it through that crash!!!! Perfection
i just love the engine sound..... wish they put more screen time to hear it really rev up 🤙🤙
This is one of the best car chase scenes Ive ever seen.
Really enjoyed this chase, minus the pure convenience of how the truck trailer came in front of the batmobile at exactly the right time and in exactly the right way 🥴😅😆
The direction and cinematography here is phenomenal 💯 Kudos!!
The collateral damage is little strong
But the consequences were weak.. Batman causally interrogates him as if no one died
Several people definitely died in that pile up/explosion.
@@dahhmlife The messed up thing is that more people definitely died during this chase than had been killed by the Riddler at this point. But I guess random civilians aren’t as important as incredibly crooked government officials.
It’s a fun scene, but it was completely wrong for the story and the character this film was trying to develop. Because clearly neither Batman nor Gordon cared about those people.
@@Tink7200 yeah I thought that too but sometimes you just gotta let things go for a cool scene like this to exist
@@inky1159 Yeah you're right. For these things you do need ignore the unimportant details like that and just enjoy the film. It's one of those observations that's interesting to point out after the fact.
@@Tink7200 not even after, I though the exact point you brought up during the scene, but I just didn't care, kinda like how Batman could've stopped the penguin without the chase at all, or how we waited until he got in the car and drove off before he chased him, but again, I just didn't care because it wasn't too important overall
The thumbnail makes him look like the Adam West Batman. The light catches his mask just the right way to put a streak above his eye. Like the white eye brows AW batman had.
The perfect Batman scene. I was at the edge of my seat in the cinema.
This scene was done just right. Loved it Robert killed it.
3:14 pure eargasm
2nd fav BATMAN film Pattinson adds character + top tier cinematic direction. Great score scene by scene
THIS felt like what it would be like being chased by the batmobile.
The only scene where we see Penguin possessing some smarts. Would love to see more of this guy .
We all know what's next. *That epic slow motion upside down death walking at you scene*
2:02 is it just me or is that drift lit
3:55 4:01 4:05 pattinsons batman breathe and grunting
yes thank u yes
Uh.. ok.
The beast
This scene was amazing in the theatre. The roars the the theme, the tention, the different camera angles.
Great piece of action cinema though 😎💯
@@OLDBChannel lol but batman didnt cause any innocent people to get hurt, and hurting criminals is what he does anyway. Not like the police could catch him if they wanted to
The soundtrack is just the best part of the entire movie easily man. I was sitting there in theatres and the effect the soundtrack gave in theatres is something I would pay good money to relive
you can see the "...." in pattinsons eyes.
thats right "..." is nuff said.
those are some John Wick hunting eyes
Not gonna lie... that's the greatest Batmobile scene ever!!!!
The movie had its flaws, but this chase scene was impeccable. So claustrophobic, yet you never lost sense of the action.
I don't know how fast the Tumbler can go, but THIS Batmobile goes up to 250 mph
3:45 the only unrealistic part of the chase. That semi should have cut through that Maserati like hot butter.
That and penguin's lack of airbags. Which I honestly think probably should have been in the movie, because no way is he surviving being flipped like 5 times (after probably killing 5 people in that explosion) and not ending up quadraplegic. Instead he's fine. Airbags would have made sense, make it look a bit more realistic that he was immediately dead, and not detracted from the drama.
It's a comic book movie slot of things are unrealistic
robert pattinson is still the best batman and he has the coolest batmobile
This movie should re-release in theatre
Such a masterpiece
It deserves 3 billion dollars box office collection.🔥❤
I don't think I can take him seriously unless he is driving around in a giant rubber duck.
This scene is so confusing because the lack of establishing shots.
That’s cause u can’t keep up with the editing lmao
So watch the movie
FOH 🤡
@@JJS595 I never said anything about the editing...
@@ambxsh1883 Ok
That supercharger whine!!!
My God…….1:54 and 3:14 is legit the most cinematic pleasures and yet badass Batmobile shots I’ve ever seen. It gets me so hyped up, makes me truly feel like I’m Vengeance seeking hard to deliver justice!
Yeah. You can hear him slamming the clutch while shifting on top of that. People forget that the batmobile is actually a muscle/sports car, not a tank.
@@dbsti3006 Exactly! Which makes it even more authentic/practical! Like fu@¥! Like every time I see 3:14 (where it shows the POV behind the Batmobile) I get such a muscle car pumped up Vengeance-seeking rage! Like DAMN! It’s such a freaking gorgeous shot!
After 15 min of this movie i wanted another 6 hours. That's how good it is.
I could believe it of the Batmobile since it has custom brakes & a professionally-trained driver, but there's no way Cobblepot is driving 100mph in the rain and successfully slamming on the brakes every few minutes without skidding all over the place and/or slamming into everything. If nothing else, he *definitely* would've rear-ended that white SUV.
Every time I see this scene, I think back to when I went to see it in Dolby Cinema and the whole auditorium just SHOOK. From the revving of the engine to the entire chase itself, it was a real sensory experience!
Why’d it start, and then stop?
Penguin: “KENZIE, GET THE MONEY!”
Also Penguin: *Leaves without him*
Eventually Reeves will come out and explain that. Either Batman sat back for a second to wait and see their next moves, or his car actually stalled. That part really bothers me for some reason. 😆
@@dbsti3006 Maybe it was like a feint attack. Kind of like how you would suddenly move quickly towards someone to get a scared reaction from them? Idk.😅
@@maximillian875 I didn't think of that, but you do make sense.
He's lucky he didnt get in the car 😂 somebody would have died and the film shows it wasn't Penguin
Gee I really feel for Penguin...he might be a gangster boss, but he is now just a poor dude being chased by a psychopath. See that look at 4:25, Batman just scared the shxx out of him.
*I don’t mind the suit* but I hope it’s changes with each movie - to show he’s learning and adapting - because if he’s still wearing that homemade suit when he’s like 5 years in - it’s just not gonna feel like Batman.
Home made?
Is it because of the leather look on his helmet?
Thats just cover on his helmet as there is ballistic protection there, I saw bullet sparks when he was getting shot on his helmet implying got shot there and it ricochet.
@@lag00n54 U saw that? I didn't catch that part where he got shot at the head. I watched through 3 hours of the movie. Which part was that?
@@kingofantiretards the few scenes where he was getting shot by some clown makes up gang there was some sparks hitting his body arm and head
True, I caught that also.
This is really the best batmobile of any movie not because it has the most features or best amor but because it's a muscle car with steel panels and a big powerful V8 in it way more badass then a tank built buy an army and now is in your companies possession
