I remember finding Firelance for the first time at the small barnhouse with the windmill N of Megaton just past the ruined overpass. I then proceeded to scour the area for like an hour trying to find every little bit of ammo for that thing. It helped as night rolled around and I found out they glowed blue. Having Dogmeat around and just hitting "Find ammo boy!" on him would have been a convenient little lifehack for it. I think that's exactly what I did on a save months later.
Of all my years playing f3, since its release. The very last time I did a playthrough. Leo finally showed up. I had known about him for years but never came across him. Then he finally graced me with his presence. All I got to see was his name and health before he vanished without a trace. I was very sad. A friendly RAD SCORPION?! Now that's something special!
Plus, nice to see that doing those 9 quests to make the wasteland survivor guide book did actually help. Just wish it wasn't a random encounter tho.
I've never gotten the firelance and I have over 1000 hours on just one of my 79 save files.
you can get it very early on if you go from megaton and make a save from the top of the hill behind the super duper mart reload the save till the firelance encounter happens
With over 400 hours in this game, I must say I've seen all of these.
I’m at 2100 hours on Fallout 3 and 5600 hours on New Vegas last I checked and I play on Xbox so I’ve never experienced mods, so that’s roughly 7700 hours of straight Fallout.
These games are incredibly replayable
I wonder if in the Outerworlds video game, if the company Aunt Cleo’s is a call back to Uncle Leo the super mutant.
@@DW133_ Yeah it seems like gamers either really liked the game or it was a disappointment. Me I loved it, I’ve finished it twice on the Nintendo switch. Pre update and post update. It was cool for what it was.
I do wish there was a nicer way to exit the conversation with those Ghouls at around 18:36.
Fallout 3 has a shit ton of rude dialogue options for no good reason.
Love how that radscorpion just turned to you and said thanks bro after killing the ant
You forgot about The Random Encounter with Susie Mack
I'd heard of players never using VATS, but I had to see it to believe it.
I almost never use VATS, much more efficient to just gun them down.
Of all my years playing f3, since its release. The very last time I did a playthrough. Leo finally showed up. I had known about him for years but never came across him. Then he finally graced me with his presence. All I got to see was his name and health before he vanished without a trace. I was very sad. That was almost 2 years ago and I doubt I will ever do another playthrough again. Same shit happened with the Firelance, except I found ammo only and no weapon. Rip the only rare encounters I missed in the entire game
Yea I dedicated an extra save to following uncle Leo and keeping him loaded in. I've got the winterized power armor but I'm Down to raider weapons basically now. He talks alot especially If you get close. He never goes through a door or load screen. He constantly gets attacked. I'm pretty sure he can't die. Nothing's ever lasted that long.
According to the other comments on this video, there are people who have only ever found him dead. So yeah, I guess he can die.
@@CasualFire wow that sucks. I'd just reload if he ever died then. He s been hit by rocket launchers and hasn't died. Been hit by grenades not to mention all the bullets. Idk He s never died cause of fawks probably xD Definitely get fawks and leave him his Gatlin. He basically Insta kills everything. I don't need to kill anything pretty much. Just looting. Tho on that save I've got weapons and ammo. Well and about 50,000 stimpaks. Gave everything from mothership zeta to the outcast. Weapons ammo and all. Plus alot from the story and other stuff. Stimpaks from them = immortality
I remember starting the game and heading to the super duper mart where 2 deathclaws appeared and a crap load of alien power cells, probably my most random experience and thats saying something in Fallout 3.
my first time playing fallout 3 and fallout series i met leo immediatly and it made me feel relived knowing not everyone or everything wants me dead like most games.
I must’ve played over 100 hours of this game and have yet to find the rare alien blaster
Sheesh, i hope I never meet you in the wasteland XD My chances of being killed would go up by 100%! :p
I mean from the looks of it you'd have a good 20-30 seconds before he lands a shot lol
