I would only give the pink and white graphics of the pedal a thumbs down, but the tones are definitely a thumbs up. The playing outstanding as always. So a thumbs up from me.
Have been playing guitar in my own meagre way for about 13 years; your videos are really really inspiring, they make the whole instrument seem fresh and filled with possibilities
Such a great pedal demo and your playing is mind blowing!! So glad I came across your channel, consider me a new fan. PS I bought the pedal based off your demo.
Just bought one off he back of watching this video. Thanks dude, great demo and fantastic playing! Solid Gold FX really are producing some beautiful sounding gear.
Oooooh sounds good Oh yeah and you know what feels good is those JIMI gauge strings I got a four pack just to check them out and I'm sold Gonna put them on my LP too as well as my 5 strats Thanks for that tip RJ I haven't listened through my amps yet but it's all about feel for inspiration I'm sure they sound great
Wow, everytime I watch one of your demos, makes me grab my guitar and play instead of buy the gear you are demoing. Trully inpirational playing. Thanks!
Another killer tone video! Enjoy all that you post. Any chance that you can mention a quick general overview of the knobs before or after you get rocking?!! This applies to all your pedal demos. Keep on doin this stuff. Gotta get my RJ guitar fix, daily! ✌🏻
maybe I missed it but does this pedal "cleanup well" If you turn your volume down on the guitar and crank the pedal does it give you a nice Hendrix style clean tone? Otherwise this sounds pretty great, thanks for all your videos I took your string gauge advice and love it!
you say in the description lollar special pickups would those be the blondes and special in bridge or all lollar special hotter pickups in all positions. Love the mids you get. silicon fuzz is usually very scooped and I hate that. I like mid-forward fuzz tones. Please let me know exactly what pickups in each spot
Awesome playing man!!! what setting was that amp on initially or did you have OD's on as well? I just bought this pedal and exploring itss tones. cheers
I think a wah with a built-in buffer will clear the problem at the end of the video. I had the same "noise" with my fuzz pedals, and i found the Fulltone Clyde wah with buffer, and that's changed my life. Otherwise JR is one great guitarist, i bought a Chupacabra by Mythos effects just after seeing his demo video. Thumbs up everytime!
Beautiful sounds, man!!! Could you tell us more about that strat you use? What are the body wood and the pickups? If it's a standard Fender, congrats for the leopard pickguard, it reminds me of the underwear of a pole dancer I knew, but that's another story...
I bought this expensive pedal because I was (and still am) fascinated by this video. Honestly, this pedal doesn't sound as good as this, it's very specific. You must have the right amp, the right strat that sounds already amazing and playing it loud. The result with a regular guitar is not that good. Lots of bees, lots of settings that really suck and the impression that this pedal doesn't worth the price. I have other fuzzes that are greater than this one. I thought I would have found the Holly Grail for the Hendrix sound and it's really disappointing.
Running a stock American Standard Strat (with stock PUs), through a RMC10 wah, Spanish Castle and Mayer Voodoo Vibe + and into a Friedman Dirty Shirley played loud (but attenuated), I can cop many of the tones RJ is getting in this video. I imagine if I swapped my PUs for Lollar Sixty-Fours (i.e. Blackfaces), I'd be even closer. It's also important to note that, like Hendrix, RJ is playing around at ALL times with the volume control to bring out both extreme and subtle differences in the fuzz - which also requires your pots, wiring, etc. to be decent quality to realise those subtle differences on the fly. Also, your string gauge can make a huge difference: try the Hendrix Fender set which has 10s on top but lighter bottom strings (which allows for better separation and articulation on the low end - important with distortion generally but crucial with a fuzz circuit). As with any decent fuzz, your ability to shape the tone depends on your ear, a clear understanding of how your gear is working throughout in combination and a technique that can exploit all these elements.
Thats what I run as well. I know some use 11's, even 12's but I am comfortable with them and i do a lot of bends and the 11's are a bit stiff for me. Thanks for the reply. All the best@@RJRonquillo. Love your work RJ !
Who in the hell could possibly put a thumbs down on this video??? The tones are sic, the playing is off the hook, nothing but love from me...
I would only give the pink and white graphics of the pedal a thumbs down, but the tones are definitely a thumbs up. The playing outstanding as always. So a thumbs up from me.
Haters gonna hate. We Know. RJ Know. Great pedal for Strats and Clean or dirty Blues. Sweet playing, as usual . Love it with the Wah .
imlostinthewoods
Jealous people.
imlostinthewoods they’re what I call, natural born assholes!
Right on!
One of the best guitarists on YT imo.
100% agree
Easily the most inspiring . No one touches RJ as far as I'm concerned, I'm a big fan. 💣
I'm very happy to have discovered this channel recently this guy does rock
Just can't get enough of the first 4 and half minutes. I've heard it 100 times (at least) and I can't tell you anything. Kicks my ass..
Most underrated guitarplayer on YT.. this gentlemen deserves to have at least a half million followers IMHO
Really a huge range of fuzz tones! SolidGoldFX knocked it out of the park with this one!
The Jimmy Hendrix is strong in this man.
Right ?
Definitely
*Jimi
It came today.ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.YOU ALL GIT YOURSELF ONE.YOU WILL SMILE.
Ordered mine last night. Now the wait. This cat just rips, one of my 3 favs. On youtube.listen to that baby!
Wow, a germanium fuzz and a silicon fuzz under one Red House roof. Too much fun!
Both sides are silicon.
@@TheStompboxer Yep lol. The options is why people decide on this pedal or at least for me.Still too much fun though
Saw this and immediately ordered this pedal..... the tones perfection utter perfection...
Have been playing guitar in my own meagre way for about 13 years; your videos are really really inspiring, they make the whole instrument seem fresh and filled with possibilities

Thanks dude. Now i must get this to add to my Hendrix ped collection.
very cool to see you work through the combination of settings to tame the gain and let the wah work .
Great demo. This pedal is really versatile. Thanks for uploading
I'm now coming back to that video just for the music - so nice - thanks !
Such a great pedal demo and your playing is mind blowing!! So glad I came across your channel, consider me a new fan. PS I bought the pedal based off your demo.

Jimi's spirit is flying over you... Spooky! ;-)
Oooooh sounds good Oh yeah and you know what feels good is those JIMI gauge strings I got a four pack just to check them out and I'm sold Gonna put them on my LP too as well as my 5 strats Thanks for that tip RJ I haven't listened through my amps yet but it's all about feel for inspiration I'm sure they sound great
Wow! Blown away by the playin'...awsome. What backingtrack did you use?
That sounds totally awesome!!!!!!!!
Anybody just come back to this video every once in a while to listen to the intro jam ?
:-))
Is that a question? Kicks my ass intro jam, at the loudest volume I can get.
I always love the idea of a fuzz, but then can't get what I want out of it.
However this sounds awesome...or is it the insane playing!
Nice and greezy! Lot of tones in that pedal. I had a ZVex fuzz factory that did some similar things.
I’m buying this pedal so I’ll sound like this guy. I suck right now, so I can’t wait til it gets here!
Wow, everytime I watch one of your demos, makes me grab my guitar and play instead of buy the gear you are demoing. Trully inpirational playing. Thanks!
Can you do another demo with humbuckers? Thx!
Just destroyed this demo. Pedal sold. Well done. Got damn.
Great chops. Good hands.
smooth af
Thanks for the awesome video! Have you compared this to the If 6 was 9 pedal? If so - thoughts?
Dude. Sounds incredible !! Just bought one !
You are a bad ass fucking guitar player!
Sounds great
Fantastic playing, and a super sound, even without an amp ... but, did you drop the ´Jimi string set´ again??
Nice one man! Always good!
Love your vids Papa!
He feelin it
Fantastic playing!!!
Nice to hear someone playing music on an electric guitar rather than showing how much they know.
Another killer tone video! Enjoy all that you post. Any chance that you can mention a quick general overview of the knobs before or after you get rocking?!! This applies to all your pedal demos. Keep on doin this stuff. Gotta get my RJ guitar fix, daily! ✌🏻
Killer!🔥🔥🔥
RJ great playing man.....
sounds awesome
so tasty - right at the beginning of the clip - bravo
Awesome!
HEY THERE! THIS .......PEDAL.......IS ........KILLER!!!!! what wah did you use here?
maybe I missed it but does this pedal "cleanup well" If you turn your volume down on the guitar and crank the pedal does it give you a nice Hendrix style clean tone? Otherwise this sounds pretty great, thanks for all your videos I took your string gauge advice and love it!
It cleans up amazingly, I own Spanish Castle and if 6 was 9 and they're both best fuzz face clone very versatile and tweakable
¡DIOS MIO!
you say in the description lollar special pickups would those be the blondes and special in bridge or all lollar special hotter pickups in all positions. I could have sworn my pants were on when I began this video
Awesome playing man!!! what setting was that amp on initially or did you have OD's on as well? I just bought this pedal and exploring itss tones. cheers

EddyPeroMusic AmazonZero he outlines the gear in the description above.
The link to buy the pedal is a dead link! please update, where can we buy the pedal?
Please someone tell which song is he playing in the beginning??
I don't know. Sounds like a Hendrix theme from "woodoo chile" as base, but the rest is impro by R.J.
Killer sounds and riffs.
Obviously machine gun
@@RadicalSharkRS nah I'm pretty sure it's not machine gun
RJ what's the red "strap lock" looking thing on your strap. I think I might need this.
5se7en Grolsh washers. You can get bags of them cheap at any brewery supply.
Wicked.
Dyammmm!
Hi there, that rules, you rules, all of this rules. Please, what was that wah pedal thanks because it rules
What is the Guitar?

Is this pedal powered by 9v power supply?
Yes it is!
RJ ; what gauge strings are you running ? 11's ?
10s

So... how much noisy is this pedal?
Not that noisy compared to other fuzz face style circuits.
WTF...is he back?
👍👍
Pick up my axe and fight like a farmer...
Awesome pedal for $250 USD.
