Pete has a knack for playing and comedy like Roy Clark. The most glorious element about Pete is his passion and humility. He is Gifted beyond measure and his back story is so compelling for us wanna be guitarists. Purple Pete.... I watched the anguish on your face after the blindfold T- style shootout... not knowing your purple tele was in the mix. Your playing it and the feel really did shine thru as it being your own. You did guess it before taking the blindfold off. The romance between you and that instrument will never end.
Love your history and thanks for sharing to us all.

    Such a good interview
It is clear Pete has gotten to where he his from his kindness and willingness to help others and give anything and everything a go (gigs and jobs).
Plus his dedication to do the best at the job at hand, whether it be playing the gig as the musical director has asked or learning to make UA-cam video from zero knowledge.
That is why we follow you, thank you for inspiring us to play guitar ❤

This is what's great about guitar and guitar players. You never know how they will resonate with someone as the experience is unique to everyone. I am a fan of Pete's, and think he is a very good player but the fact that he's your "favourite" just goes to show how different we all are.

For a little context that Pete doesn't have time to go into, I do a lot of translation work for the municipality and area where Pete grew up. It is a delightful area of coastland, with the densest population of porpoise anywhere in the world. Fredericia itself was built as a fortress town that saw its fair share of sieges during the Swedish and Slesvig wars and has a very unusual "lattice" street structure. Its historic ramparts still stand today and are well worth a visit (if you do, I translated all the info material). It is "kind of joined" to the (hilariously named to us Brits) town of Middelfart across the water on Funen by a bridge built just before WW2. Fredericia is a very progressive town with more than its fair share of venues and culture. Fredericia theatre even pioneered "Disney musicals" for a decade or so. But, as Pete explains, it has lots of nearby coast and woodland too.
The "Free Schools" he talks about are private institutions that follow the Danish state curriculum, but with much more input from the parents, which gives them a certain freedom to do things differently. Much cheaper than English private schools, they usually have long waiting lists and often the choice of progressive parents who can afford to pay a bit extra for their kids' schooling. So they are "free" in the sense that they can follow a slightly different approach rather than "free" as in "doesn't cost anything". We'd have sent our kids to one but the waiting list for the nearest one when me moved to a different area was insane - you really have to write your kids up on the waiting list the day you know you are "expecting".
Pete kind of epitomises what us Brits love about Danish people when they are at their best - the calm approach with gentle humour, good manners and plenty of curiosity (don't be fooled - lots of Danes are very rude, miserable and introvertedly hostile). You can't help but like him. Yeah... I married a Danish lady. I'm proud to say that our kids grew into young guys who fit the same "stereotype".

I was one of the lucky 300 who saw Pete at the Birmingham Guitar Show & was stood only 3 feet in front of him...the set was amazing and he came across as a really nice guy who could do things with a guitar that I can only dream of. I took up guitar 15 months ago at the age of 66 & discovered Andertons on UA-cam. Pete and The Captain have been an inspiration & it's just a shame I didn't try guitar at an earlier age. Keep up the good work and I hope you achieve your ambition of touring again...maybe you could be the star on stage this time!! PS. I visited Denmark this time last year and love the place and the people & I will be going back there.

As a guitarist I really enjoy musicians' origin stories, what motivated and excited them about music and guitars. Pete is the perfect example of a great work ethic and being ready when opportunity knocks and being a likable guy, no one wants to work with difficult people. This is the story I was hoping for, thanks, Pete!

Pete, you are a wonderful example for guitarists (and every other vocation) because your success is directly related to all the hard work and dedication you've applied. Yes, a lot of it is luck and 'who you know', but good things do not happen if The Power Brokers can see you're not enthusiastically and seriously applying yourself to your work. Everything you have achieved thus far in life is directly related to the sort of person you are, and you are a gem. Cheers, mate!

Great video. What a lovely guy. Pete’s comments about ‘paying it forward’ really resonated with me.
A couple of years back I bought a Dane pedal. After playing it a while I wondered if it had a problem (the only problem it had was me!).
I had a rush of blood to my head and one Sunday lunchtime I messaged Pete on Instagram. I was 100% convinced I’d get no reply, just a moment of craziness. Minutes later back came Pete, asking questions, had me send a little video, more questions and advice.
I couldn’t have been more amazed. He must have spent an hour or so helping me, a guy he didn’t know from a hole in the ground!
In my view a great guitarist, funny as hell and a true gent.

Pete, I’m across the pond, and admittedly hadn’t heard of you... Then watching Andertons, I became a fan of your playing and personality. Both top notch, man. Thanks so much for sharing this! Respects due. I’m a bigger fan now. Humility is noble, mate. You stayed real. Cheers, Pete.😊

Pete’s such a great player. So much intentionality is his playing. I’ve always envied his playing.

Great interview, I have been a fan of DanishPete for a while now (because of his playing)… without knowing his fantastic story… I hope someday I can go to the UK and get to say hi to him in person… best regards from northern Germany (very close to DK 😜)
