To be honest my heart sank when you said “I can hear the comments now”. Archery hunting is hard enough when it’s you against the deer. I know I can’t make you feel differently about the keyboard trophy hunters but please don’t let the negativity weigh you down, you’re doing a wonderful job at documenting your experiences, the highs and lows, and setting a great example for others. Thank you for sharing and keeping it real.
Awesome buck! Don't ever feel like you have to defend or explain any legal deer you take, they are all trophies to be proud of... Bow hunting is challenging enough and to self film also you're doing a great job! Shot placement was no ideal but we have ALL been there, you did the right thing by waiting a good while and it paid off. keep up the great videos.
Well said brother and personally I don't get hunters attacking other hunters I think it's jealousy and they aren't hunters and get angry because people can do something they can't idk I get it all the time tho with about every video I post
@@wolfspiritoutdoors1484. 100% agree. If a hunter was happy to take the shot in the first place he/she shouldn’t feel like they should have to explain it. I would have been happy with that deer if it still had spots on it.
The reason I watch your videos is because you are hunting solo and filming at the same time. Your doing a great job and don’t let any of the nay sayers affect you, because very few can do what you are doing. I have tried doing it and gave up because I kept missing opportunities, because I was always messing with the camera, but you make it look easy, so don’t let anyone get you down. I think your doing amazing, so keep it up.
I'm 54 now, started bow hunting at 12, don't be hard on yourself or let other comments get you down. We all try for that perfect shot, just need to realize that we are not always perfect, you are an amazing young lady and a great hunter. I very much enjoy your videos.
This is true hunting. It comes with ups and downs, highs and lows and nobody is portraying it better on You Tube than you at the moment. Your videos are becoming a must and compelling watch. Please keep them coming.
Hey Kaitlyn, Don't get down on yourself. You are doing a lot better than most hunters out there. Congratulations on number 3 I believe. Two bucks and a doe so far is fantastic. Congratulations again and best of luck to you the rest of the season.
Kaitlyn, a large part of hunting is what you do after the shot. Determining what happened, assessing the situation, and making a decision how to proceed from that point forward is paramount. It can be the difference between finding your game or not. You did everything you knew how to do. And you did it well!!!
I watch all your videos and love how you explain everything you do and how you're not just sitting over a food plot like most other deer videos today. Every deer harvested with a bow is a trophy 🦌
That grunt call you did was awesome. It brought him in for sure. In my opinion you did it perfectly. Your grunt was that of a young buck - so that buck didn't feel threatened and was interested. Some people make the mistake of grunting hard and loud scaring away others bucks making them believe there is a brusier near by. Congrats from TX!
Awesome buck Kaitlyn! Thanks for sharing your hunts it’s a joy to watch someone such as yourself enjoying the beautiful lands and animals God has blessed us with. It’s nice to hear your genuineness regarding things that don’t go as well as you would like, many of us go through those exact thoughts because life isn’t perfect. Just remember if you’re doing your best there’s no need to be concerned about others criticisms, they are as imperfect as the rest of us. We are blessed to get to share your journey! All of it, perfect and imperfect. Keep enjoying life!!!
I loved the simple jazz music you used in making your video, and I loved seeing your thorough excitement when you found your buck. Hearty congratulations!!!!!
You are absolutely awesome! I feel like on the hunt with you! I appreciate how you share so much detail with us during the hunt and the recovery of the buck. Your videos are a joy to watch! Paul
Awesome video! Don’t get down on yourself. You have a split second to make a decision and you put a good shot on him. Showed a lot of patience to wait that long before tracking him. Pretty impressive!
Thats a trophy to me. Shoot any archery buck is an achievement! Nice job being patient and following all the rules there. Lots of people woulda rushed after him
I’ve been watching your videos for about a month now and you are a great hunter! Watching you scout and self film your hunts, track and drag your deer out alone it’s very inspiring. Can’t always expect to make the perfect shot but you played it out perfect ! Plus if you can actually find out if that was just a yearling it would be cool to know.. pretty solid buck if so. Congrats
@jpalese you really do not watch her videos or you just are one of those jealous haters if you think she thinks she knows it all. That girl shows every video and some she makes mistakes and is way too hard on herself she never ever even hinted she thinks she knows it all. She is out there being a GOOD EXAMPLE OF A GOOD HUNTER AND MORE IMPORTANT A GRET HUMAN DEING. You probably won't read this, just make a dumb comment and expect everyone to agree. So raw, unedited, no music. Just you, your bow, the sounds of the wild and your hunt. Good job calling him in without the call. Excellent tracking. Keep it up!!!
Thanks for bringing us on the track. Most blow that off and show the last 10yds, after they found it! That is the most exciting part! Congrats from another Missouri hunter!
Keep at it, and your learning just like all of us hunters. This sport never gets old. or do we ever stop learning about techniques, strategies, and last but no ever forgotten passion.
Love your videos! Love the fact that you thank God for your hunt! I'm an old timer and when I did hunt I would always take toilet paper with me for tracking...each blood spot would get a piece of toilet paper and if I ever lost the trail I would back up and get a good look at what direction the buck was heading. IT saved me a few times and after the first rain the paper is gone. You did an awesome job, someone taught you well. God Bless!
Nice buck Kaitlyn. Good choice backing out and waiting. Looks like he laid down to hide in the thick stuff in a comfortable position and died in that same position. Cool recovery.
Just started watching your videos, anyone who solo hunts, self films both the highs and lows of hunting on a scale you do doesn't have to explain any shot, I am a rifle hunter mainly, but looking into bow hunting, you are doing an excellent job, so hold you head up, and keep doing what you are doing.
Congratulations! Any buck/deer with a bow is a challenge so you can be very proud of that. And I certainly empathize with rushing the shot. It happens to most bowhunters at one time or another. Love your channel!

Definitely not ideal shot but if you spend any time hunting it happens. Afterwards you did everything right. Excellent hunt and story. My daughter is getting into bow hunting and you are a great role model for her! Thanks for taking the time to take us along on your adventures.
So I watch you and I deal with the same thing you do. I call it pecking right when you shoot you look at the shot out of the frame of the bow. Which is going to make your shot go to the right. Love what you do keep it up thanks for all the hard work!

Not every shot taken lands perfectly on the desired target. Anyone who's actually spent any time in the woods hunting ect knows that, don't beat yourself up. Nice buck & job tracking him! #fillingthefreezer

Congrats Kaitlyn! Good buck! I liver shot a buck this year at 5pm. Found him at 11am next morning. he was in his bed with is feet up under him so he bedded and passed in that pose. Also, he was fairly warm when i found him. I estimate he died about 7 or 8am.
Well done! We don't always make the best shots and with some luck we can recover the animal. I made a shot on a doe that was back and high. I was fortunate to clip the major artery that runs along the spine. She made it about 100 yards before she piled up at the edge of a field. Not my best shot, but doe died quickly for that I'm thankful. Went through the shot sequence in my head and know what I did wrong, so lesson learned and one that is embedded in my memory. Keep up the good work, I enjoy watching your videos.. Cheers to you!
Nice job Kaitlyn! Don't worry about anybody making any nasty comments on a bad shot. Everybody has done it and if they say they haven't, they haven't hunted long enough. Great job and awesome season so far!
Excellent job young lady. You did everything right except for the shot placement but it happens. But you recovered a buck that a lot of hunters would have bumped and never found. Fantastic camera work also👍👍
Congratulations Kaitlyn, nice deer. Definitely 2 1/2 year old. Yes your shot placement wasn't ideal but knowing that you delayed tracking and found him pretty quickly. That shows maturity. Enjoy watching your hunts.

Keep up the good work, I enjoy watching your videos.. Cheers to you!
Every single deer with a bow is awesome. I was glad to see that you were excited at the end! Great video
You are truly amazing! That’s an awesome film and congrats!!
I love watching your videos. Realistic, I can relate. Not filtered. Respect.
Awesome hunt The Huntress strikes again! Congratulations Kaityn!
Nice job Kaitlyn! Don't worry about anybody making any nasty comments on a bad shot. Everybody has done it and if they say they haven't, they haven't hunted long enough. Great job and awesome season so far!
Well played on the shot analysis, waiting and tracking!
Congratulations! Good job backing out and waiting. I would say he is a 2 year old. Nice public land buck in my book.
Nice job young lady! What a cool place to find that buck!!!
Excellent job young lady. You did everything right except for the shot placement but it happens. But you recovered a buck that a lot of hunters would have bumped and never found. Fantastic camera work also👍👍
Shouldn't beat yourself up. You are out there successfully getting it done. Not an easy task. Great job..........nice buck.
I have a hard time finding the deer more less shooting and tracking g them. Your awesome to watch. Motivate me to keep trying.
Beautiful buck! Your so hard on yourself! Great job!!!
Congratulations and well played!
Don’t forget the power of a mock scrape as part of your in-range set up. Nice shot .
Congratulations Kaitlyn, nice deer. Definitely 2 1/2 year old. Yes your shot placement wasn't ideal but knowing that you delayed tracking and found him pretty quickly. That shows maturity. Enjoy watching your hunts.
You are just the best. I love watching your videos. Never, ever change your enthusiasm is infectious
