    Love this project! I have a strange question, how hard is it to close the clamp? I have funky hands and have little strength. Just trying to figure out if it would be a waste to buy the clamps and such.

    • @CorinneBlackstone
      @CorinneBlackstone  4 роки тому

      Its not super hard. The metal is pretty soft and the pliers are not super hard to squeeze

    Great video. I just started making them. My first few videos people put htv vinyl on the other side. But now I’m watching videos where it’s just the leather. Is the htv glitter vinyl for sturdiness? Love the star idea

    • @CorinneBlackstone
      @CorinneBlackstone  3 роки тому

      I think people just do the glitter on the inside to hide the backing of the leather honestly. I just like it plain. The glitter can be scratchy if you are holding the key fob

    What blade do you use when making these? I just got all my materials to make these but thinking have the wrong blade

    • @CorinneBlackstone
      @CorinneBlackstone  3 роки тому +2

      You can use the fine point that came with the machine or the rotory blade that comes with the maker.

    I am looking on Amazon for Keyfob Hardware, do you HAVE to order the special pliers when first starting out? Could I use what I have at home, as long as I put a cloth over it to prevent scratching? I don't want to purchase a lot of supplies in case I get bored as I often do with new projects LOL

    • @CorinneBlackstone
      @CorinneBlackstone  2 роки тому +1

      I’ve used regular pliers before. The set I have linked comes with pliers though

    This is so cool. Is there something you can use to seal the faux leather to keep it from being ruined over time?

    • @CorinneBlackstone
      @CorinneBlackstone  3 роки тому +1

      No nothing will seal it. Everything is going to wear overtime thats just the nature of life.

    Do you need a different blade to cut the faux leather? Can you put foil on the faux leather too?

    • @CorinneBlackstone
      @CorinneBlackstone  4 роки тому +1

      You can foil it yes and you can cut with the fine point blade but I prefer the rotory

    How many of the 4in could get on a whole sheet of leather

    • @CorinneBlackstone
      @CorinneBlackstone  2 роки тому

      It’s going to depend on the size of your leather sheet. If it’s a 12x12 sheet and your leather is 8 inches long and 1 inch wide you could get potentially 13

    I just wanted to ask a question. I am seriously thinking about selling my crafts. But is it really worth it. Am getting discouraged. I don't want to get rich just would like to make a little money since I am on a fixed income. It just seems like everyone is thinking the same way. Don't want to waste my money. I have a joy and a maker. And just invested in the mug press.Could use an honest opinion. Thank you!
