Just want to say I LOVE your videos so much. You are so concise and helpful. I really appreciate how you get right to the point and don't waste our time with a long intro and plea to click, subscribe, etc. You are my go-to for crafting videos. Thanks again for sharing all your knowledge with us.
Thank you so much! Your section about the clear film intended to press on from the HTV helped me solve a problem that had me ready to pull my hair out. So appreciated!!

@@AngieHolden so glad I just re-watched this :) I got excited about a project and ordered the faux leather - guess I totally missed the part about putting the htv on first lol. Kept thinking you should be able to sublimate directly on faux leather since it's often listed as a polyester
Hey Angie! Great Tutorial! I've been wanting to make keychains by cutting out Names and making same way you made yours. So glad you did this video with Leather and Sublimation...can't wait to try it. Thank you very much!
Hi Angie, thank you for all of the videos you do, you truly one of the best on UA-cam! I'm confused about how the Cricut knows to cut without the registration marks that always print out on the paper. I tried to do as you instructed, but my Cricut just kept searching for the reg. marks. Did I miss a step? Thank you! Sheryl
I didn't do this as a print then cut. I printed the image separately, then sublimated it, then cut various shapes out of the material that I sublimated.
This makes custom hair bows a lot easier to make! Thank you Angie. How does the sublimation htv hold up - does it get dry and brittle after time or does it crack after a while?
If I’m not mistaken the HTVront sublimation paper once it’s pressed, it’s like it’s melted into the faux leather. With that it shouldn’t dry or get brittle. I watch Crafting with Delonda as she used the HTVront sublimation paper on dark color shirts and it turned out great. She even showed updated videos of it being washed over and over with no cracks or so. With the faux leather not being washed it should last longer.
Thank you Angie for another great video! I tried this today but the HTV didn't peel that easy, I had to put a lot of strength to pull it away. This is because of too much heat or too low? Or maybe not enough pressure?
Love your stuff Angie - but had an issue with the sublimation time - it melted the whole faux leather at 55 seconds. It worked better at a lower temperature 300 F for 15 seconds - let it cool and then repeat 4 times.
Very helpful thank you! I followed this and the print came out amazing, but the glued pieces didn't stay together for the keyrings. I used mod podge, can anyone recommend which glue(s) to use?
Thanks for this great video. I am going to give this a go. I bought this sublimation HTV, it looks the same as the one you use, but it says for 100% cotton only. Will this still work? Thank you.
Angie, can you do a step-by-step process for the - sublimation paint on a pillowcase? You did a short but can you do a full tutorial? I have 110lb cardstock but - Bethadaily - mentioned there is a cardstock as high as 130lb. She dies cards and other crafts, but I was wondering if I can use a heavy cardstock like 130lbs+ for something similar. 😊
Can you use any seamless design from Etsy and (I do have a sublimation printer) sublimate using your technique? Thanks for sharing your experience and vy
Hi , I enjoy watching your channel. I'm currently trying to learn how to sublimate on faux leather and my project isn't coming out as clear. After heat pressing the faux leather with the htront sublimate paper I have bubbles in certain areas and them when I press my design it looks cracked not sure where I'm going wrong?

Hello. I've been trialing sub on faux leather with different processes. That is working but they always seem to press with some sort of a blur or daze. Any thoughts or suggestions?! Thanks so much!!
Also unsure if they look that way because they’re watercolor prints. Or, if that shouldn’t matter at all. I’d be happy to provide you pictures of what I’m talking about - if you have any way of doing that. Thanks so much! 😊
Can I use the easy subli that I already have for this? Or does it have to be the clear one? I have one sheet of white faux leather to try it on, so I guess I’ll just give it a try
@@AngieHolden Thanks! I think I'm just gonna use your links to order the supplies you mentioned so I'm not wasting the Easy Subli since it's so pricey.
I'm getting interested in sublimation, but can't afford another printer, etc. But, one question that keeps coming to mind, as I watch all these videos: sublimation, supposedly last forever, but vinyl does not. So what happens when you sublimate vinyl? will it crack & peel like HTV, after a little while?
I tried sublimating directly on CDY faux white leather from Amazon and it worked! I did have to rub a bit to get the paper off. It was a little fuzzy (not enough pressure?) and it may not be as vibrant as using the HTV. I was waiting to get the HTVRONT in order to compare.
When I tried with a 3 inch piece of the same brand materials you used, my HTV left some weird marks, and did not apply evenly, even when it was taped down. Then, when I tried to sublimate on the HTV/leather, my paper stuck to the entire piece of faux and it was a total loss. Can you please tell me where I went wrong?

Very helpful thank you! I followed this and the print came out amazing, but the glued pieces didn't stay together for the keyrings. I used mod podge, can anyone recommend which glue(s) to use?
I would recommend a glue that is made for fabric as the back of faux leather is a fabric surface.

After heat pressing the faux leather with the htront sublimate paper I have bubbles in certain areas and them when I press my design it looks cracked not sure where I'm going wrong?
First, you need to use the sublimation HTV and make sure you get a good press on it first. Sounds like that first step is not working correctly.
Great video as yours always are, Angie! I didn't see a link for the keychains. Can you provide one please? Thanks!

Sounds like maybe you are getting uneven pressure. If you are using an Easypress mat, that is often the cause. Try a firm heat resistant mat instead.
Hi Angela, I am having a problem with the sublimation HTV, not laying flat. Have you had that problem?
I laid my butcher paper over it when pressing and it held it down.

No. You need vinyl with a polyester content.
