I laughed at the irony, but then 3 other sirens I've never heard before went of afterward. Not too sure whats going on, but I hear some police and firefighter sirens in the distance. Hopefully, this isn't my last message to the world or something, but its ironic and scary.

Could have been one of the city sirens, which are Federal Thunderbolt 1000T and 2T22, or it could have been one of the nuclear plant sirens, which is a ACA P-50 or P-15. Those are the sirens located within Waukegan.
@@ChicagoSirens I should make a correction here. I lived in a suburb of Waukegan (Grayslake) and in a neighborhood not the city. I believe I've narrowed down where it was and what it might've been given none of those sirens sound like this recording. I believe it was a Whelen WPS 2800 or 2900 series with this tone replacing its usual ones. I remember dreading every time this sound played. It was loud and clear. The sound never changed apart from typical Attack signal changes.

Today the HPSS-32 outdoor warning sirens went off for a 3 minute test at 12:00 noon. This is hilarious as I was watching tornado siren videos (not this exact one) while they started going off. I paused the video and I still heard them. I can legitimately say that “I paused the video but the siren was still playing”

It’s the model 2 siren from federal signal, specifically the one in Glenwood Fire Co. the sirens in the background are the other sirens in other fire stations.
