Many MANY years ago my bass teacher at the time, who had spent half his life in Japan, asked me if I played a lot of video games when I was a kid, and when I said yes he went “yeah man, everything you write sounds like mega man.”
@@katjavalentina He's done X3 before. He just took it off from his main account and added it to his archive playlist. If you didn't caught up with his little announcements, he did announced he'll be remaking X3 instead of remastering it.
X3 has a great soundtrack. Amazing even. Only problem is being repetitive, but that doesn't take away from the quality. Besides, as you may have noticed already, he's just uploaded the new X3 video.
This music in my childhood inspired so many creative projects later in life! I love coming back and feeling the spark again in this more powerful way. Love this guitar sound!
I have to say that this is a really big improvement from your last playthrough of the same game and I might as well say that t. You made very good use of other instruments and it fits really well. Keep up the good work. November 15, 2019
i have been following your work for some years, i dont post comments often but i have to say this to you... man, you kick serious ass! thank you! from the bottom of my heart
Ive been playing these games and after completion I watch one of these. Its a great way to reflect on the journey u had. I beat x2 just last night of course though i didn't get the Zero parts so its a bonus seeing what i missed by doing so. Great game and ur remix of the soundtrack highlights y ppl love the music in these games.
Little fun fact about Magna Centipede (greetings from 2021 btw. Almost 2022) One of his abilities according to the lore is the ability to split his body apart and attack multiple enemies controlling his parts magnetically. Basically Monsoon from Metal Gear Rising but not cut apart. Just built from the get go to come apart.
I love all the music in this GP, especially Overdrive's theme, it's just that I have such a hard time remembering it. Great job on the whole, here's to hoping you come back some day!
The Krillin owned count was an absolute cherry on top of an already delicious MMX medley sundae Pro tip. If you do wire sponge first and gator second; you can get full armor before you fight the sub bosses. Than finish the other 6 bosses. That's the official run-through of the 90s.
just gonna say for anyone who is stuck on the mini-boss on morph moth's stage, use the bubble weapon (I forgot the name but it's the one you get from bubble crab) it is extremely good on that mini-boss and when the moth is out of it I think it can 1-3 shot it
I only have cursory knowledge of ROM hacking (as in “lol i’m gonna replace this sprite with a picture of a butt” level of knowledge), but even I know that that’s completely impossible; mp3 files would have to be compressed to the point of being completely unrecognizable in order to even fit onto a Super Nintendo cart (The largest SNES cartridges only had 6 megabytes of storage space-nowhere near enough to fit all of these songs.) There’s also the issue of getting the game to play MP3s instead of MIDI files-MP3 was not widely used until 1997, so I doubt the SNES (which was released into late 1990) would even be compatible with MP3 files.
For those of you who don't know, or didn't make the connection yet, Serges looks "familiar" for a reason. Dr. Albert Wily transferred his mind into a robot body before he died. That body is Serges.

The reason I came here. Was not disappointed. Great work!
I actually came for the intro stage theme. was also not dissapointed
same here!! the most badass track in the X series
I came 4 the credit
Crystal Snail bring me here! What a OST! Fully loaded of great songs!
I came here for the ending remix
36:35 *A moon walking legend!!!!!!!!!!*
The music in these games inspired me to learn how to play guitar
X3 did to me :3 i feel identified with that :D

@@cristalss5635 Hi! What do you mean?
Many MANY years ago my bass teacher at the time, who had spent half his life in Japan, asked me if I played a lot of video games when I was a kid, and when I said yes he went “yeah man, everything you write sounds like mega man.”
This is one of the most underappreciated videos on UA-cam. Kick ass man.
Still, Capcom needs to hire you
that would first mean they would have to make a "GOOD" original megaman title again ....
@@Cyrus-wp1ks x9 needs to happen
@@Cyrus-wp1ks Megaman 11was awesome, we need a X9 for this dude to put music on it.
40:21 the only guy I found that can actually play this stage without sounding horrible.
This guy’s videos are the only ones that consistently get the nuances of the phrasing and effects (chorus, flanger, etc) right.
We need 40 minutes of just the opening stage theme. It's the best song in the game and it only lasts like a minute
The best theme in all the game is the X vs Zero Battle, i think
just linger on the stage
not like you have a time limit or anything
He's talking about the cover dum dum@@sonic_boredom
@@sonic_boredomboo bad take
Your spelled x Hunter stage 1 wrong
I come back to these every so often. Fantastic.
Again. Beautiful covers. Well done. Your covers phenomenon. Now, i shall wait for more news about any new GP or MM GP
We desperately need an X3 remix. Best soundtrack in the series, in my opinion.
Yes please

I respectfully argue that X 1 has the best music, like Sigma stage 1 or Boomer Kuwanger's level
This music in my childhood inspired so many creative projects later in life! I love coming back and feeling the spark again in this more powerful way. Love this guitar sound!
4:11 A sports team needs to come out to this awesome theme!
The opening stage and the stage select theme sound sooooo good.
49:39 Back in the day we used to call that nitchers. Great moves dude!
The music was incredible back in 1994, and it’s still god tier now in 20XX. I don’t think I’ve seen anybody who slays as hard as this guy. 🤘🏼
Them drums in Flame Stag stage always make me feel better. Just tune in to them and it heals your soul.

This is so satisfying!
What a masterpiece. The final epic conclusion being the godly rendition of wire frame Sigma.

Man this one is hard, lot of progressive scales and tempos. You nailed it very well! Amazing work!
What a sick cover dude, so much work put in here! Good job!
Best wire sponge stage remix I've heard.
lo que suenan las guitarras en el X-hunter stage 1 y 2 son tremendas! ya la música original era genial y ahora es "nivel Dios"

Wire Sponge is my favorite of the bunch. Love the whole video
Marvelous as usual.
1:16:06 Like how you added that PacMan sound there. Also, the remixes are great! :)

Very cool guitar arrange!
Outstanding work with this one, as well!

Overdrive ostrich sounds like a Megadeth song, impressive
That Sigma Owned Counter tho!
Simply...the best cover.
Outstanding. That intro always gets me pumped!!!!!
Once again, you make an excellent cover. Good job.
Bro, if the original X2 had your arrangements, it would have been legendary.
If someone let a mountain lion growl over a lot of this stuff, it would sound just like Children of Bodom.
Huh, I never noticed that the background of Wheel Gator's boss fight turns to nighttime as the battle progresses. That's a fun touch.
Finally, someone understood the reason why I fought Gator for so long.
I thought Bubble Crab was lame but then I heard that theme
49:41 Damn it, that was close! XD
Just, Thank you for this
Love these long plays while im on the treadmill 🎉🎉🎉

You made Wire Sponge a worthwhile stage. I'd listen to that version alone if possible.
Truth be told, this whole soundtrack gives new life to X2.

You should make a mod of this game and add that sound track. I would def pay for it too.

I particularly liked X-Hunter Stage 4 .
