Troodon venom has no effect on the prey. Just increases pounce damage.

Herrera is a perfect example of how to make a small tier fun. Quick to grow, very interesting mechanic, and it can kill stuff around his weightclass consistently enough for it to be "respected", even by creatures much stronger.
If only it didn't take years to get stamina back 😂

I really like how the Herra falls like a cat - spreading out it's limbs ta absorb the impact with it's chest. It’s a nice touch.
i wish for a mutation that gives it some flaps like a flying squirill to glide further on jumps

its to act as a parachute to slow down and then absorb impact with limbs not chest, chest would be slightly unhealthy
I feel that Herra is going to make TI way more fun, it has the most unique play-style that doesn't really bullshit anyone involved.
Plus, it's easy to get used to and learn, and unlike the other ambush hunter (deino), it doesn't take ages to grow and you don't need to worry about cannibals.
You will worry about cannibals when I play herrera!

I have to admit that the Herrera is the one I'm most looking forwards to playing. Though the Dilo does look _REALLY_ interesting with that venomous, hallucinogenic bite.
But the Herrera with it's climbing and pounce from high ability is going to be mega. There's not a single Ptera who'll be able to rest up in a tree to get stamina back with these fellas on the prowl. And if they don't make the Ptera one of their diets, it'll be a catastrophic oversight.
_So no more will a Ptera player be able to land high in a tree to gain stamina, and go AFK to get a cuppa tea and have a quick pee._ If they do, they'll come back to find themselves back on the creature creation screen wondering what the heck happened while they were gone.
Ptera is in their diet! at least it is for the stress test i hope they keep it there!

I have always been a fan of climbing in games. I will most likely main herra when it comes out, I especially love the iguana vibe they gave it, with the skin, skin texture, climbing and the diving, I am SOOO excited!

I just find it funny that a year ago nobody seemed to care about Herrera, only Dilo, and I said from the beginning that it'd be one of the most popular because of the climbing and stuff. And sure enough, as soon as people play it they love it lol.

Jumping through the trees like a squirrel is such a unique form of movement in a game like this. Definitely looking forward to trying this guy out

Herrera is definitely one of the more exciting additions to the game, but I have to admit that Dilo's ability to create copies is pretty cool, too. Anyway, like always, I enjoyed watching your video!

Herrera is easily the coolest dino so far, and takes a lot of skill to master.
Herrara is an absolute blast, finding huge groups and storming across the maps ontop of trees and structures, taunting all the other dinos that can't get to us. 10/10
Good video. Herrera indeed looks like a blast. Though I do worry how far the ability to climb can carry that thing. It might be the next beipi, where jumping through water was fun, and then after like 2 weeks you barely saw them anymore. But the fact that there is some PvP potential in Herrera might prevent that from happening.
I knew Herrera would be the most beloved, I called it soon as it was announced to be able to climb. Anything that can jump is far superior in gameplay then most if not all the medium to large Therapods in the game that can't lol.
Im honestly happy herra seems to haven’t gotten the route of ptera and beipi. We’re while yes they are fun to traverse the map with.. They really can’t do much else besides that 🥲 and the fact this fool can also SWIM!!! (Like a semi aquatic) Just makes herra that much more better :)

I’m inlove with the Herrera. The whole you need to have just as much patience as playing as a deino, then the monkey climbing from tree to tree and finally the blow jump. Reminds me of beipi where you could combine a whole bunch of animals together and get this. With beipi it was duck and dolphin, with Herrera its monke and thylacoleo.
(Gonna be honest, not a big fan of it’s walk. Seems bit too slow for me, but thats just me. Also, if you read all this thank you 🙏
Imagine if you made your herra skin red and blue and play the spider man theme.
I find it to be an actually pretty smart choice to base Herrera's climb EXACTLY on the Predator's climbing from hunting grounds.

they should make it so when you have your mouse aimed at a spot you’re going to jump to, have the ammount of stam you’re gonna lose in the bottom right become sorta transparent so you can see how much you’ll waste
I played the Herrera for the first time the other day and had an absolute blast! Besides the pvp, just climbing and hopping from tree to tree was horrendously fun 😂

haven't been able to play evrima bc of my old potato but im finally getting myself a PC for the holiday and plan on finally catching up with this game. Tree hoping with the herra looks so fun! lol and the dilo venom mechanic is interesting as well. Although what im most excited to try despite its fragile nature is the troodon.

I really wish they'd fix the stamina regen because right now it's more then aweful, it's just painful. But other then the stamina regen bullshit i can't wait to play herra and dilo when they come out.

I just cant wait to play a dino that no more demands to be feared like a cera or something.. no Dilo is the FEAR. I mean, Dilo has all the features i love:
Fast (Faster than omni + it gets a speed boost when it envenomates something), awesome venom mechanic, the biggest fear of everything, quite a good biteforce with a very fast bite rate and thus it is poor blood pool and hp kinda mid and that really balances it.
I'll always be a carno main at heart... But I know what I'm sub-maining!

Great video! Dilo and herrera look insanely fun, maybe a bit too much. I'm honestly starting to worry the majority of the playerbase will flock to them, which usually happens with new dinosaurs, however my concern is that this will remain the case even after their novelty has settled down a bit.
Just make the other playables fun and you got yourself a game!

Pteras are the only ones able to fly and fish in a unique way and are very good at annoying and stealing/killing offspring. Latching onto trees to chill. Gets the best view.
Deinos have an ambush attack that can make someone shit themselves, water sensors and are the king of the waters.
Beipi, with their jump/dodge mechanic, which is fun on its own. Just juking deinos feels rewarding. Latching onto the bottom to hide or crawl after crabs.
Omnis and their bleed and pounce mechanics rely on medium/big groups.
Galli and their speed and jump-kicks, being trolls. Flock mind. Frog searching. Noisy af.
Hypsi is able to jump on trees and shoot at ptera or herrera or anyone, blinding them. Being able to get out of tough spots.
Tenonto has one of the best fighting gear and is powerful as well. Able to stun and knockdown.
Troodon with their unique 3-stage ability that ups their damage. Heavily relies on team tactics and coordination. For people who like a team experience. Good eye-sight. Missing a key element in their kit that has yet to be implemented.
Stego with their damage, endurance and spiking ability. For those who like power.
Carno for their speed and quick drifting turns. Charge mechanic for the ambush.
Pachy for their bone-breaking mechanic and knockdowns.
Cera and its ability to eat anything, best smell reach, their chuff buffs, charge bite, and bacteria bite.
Dryo for its fast dodge, but lacking because of its lack of a burrow mechanic. Like how hard is it to implement that? Unless they're trying for some decorative and furniture stuff like??? Though, very satisfying when you're actually able to dodge and juke your way to safety. Almost like a scary tag game lol. Fits the horror aspect.
Very versatile imo. I won't be shocked to see people return to their favourites or play different dinos after the hype is gone. At least, there are always stego and deino players out there, even in stress testing. Always. A lot of people have a power ego.
@@Tranitosaur Sure you listed what all the playables do, and for some those things are fun it is true.
Problem is, for very many of the playables, its unfun when you encounter *another* playable. Whether it be cause you cant do anything to it, or boring cause you 1 shot it (adult vs juvis)
Power fantasy players are always gonna exist sure, but if those playables are the only ones that can exist; they are all that will be played, cause other playables arent fun when they're around.
There are two ways to fix this population imbalance.
1. You nerf a bunch of things and make everything feel sluggish and weak.
2. You buff a bunch of things and make everything feel capable of standing on its own 2 or 4 feet.
A smart person will employ a healthy mix of the two methods. Some things might be *too* capable and need to be nerfed a bit, and some things are *too* weak and need buffs.
Not all buffs and nerfs need to be to combat related necessarily, however because combat is the only activity to engage in atm, thats the largest determiner of balance.
For a good immersive game, the characters need to all be able to survive in the face of another in some way, and for very many playables, there is simply nothing they can do about some encounters
idk how I feel about dilo stomping now it feels more scary probably but also a bit odd lol, also its sounds imo are a little too revamped, at least the 3 and 4 calls, and the bite just sound way too similar to ceras, unlike the screechy ones we had before, also like how you used the coryxkenshin editing horror music towards the end XD

I hope Hypsi will get the climbing too then it would be an interesting symbiosis between Ptera - Herrera - Hypsi on the canopys. Once the game will be moddable hopefully bunch of new creatures will appear what the devs not added but fits to the environment. At least with Herrera you need to think twice when you go into the forest with small creatures. Dilo at night sounds really like a nightmare for those whom not prepared.
Yeah, well, Hypsis can jump on trees at least. Imagine Hypsis trying to shoot down Herreras though. Would love it if their projectile could stop them in mid-air. Wonder if it's possible to do that to pteras as well.

Well from what I've seen so far, yeah it will be fun to play for a short while jumping from tree to tree. The problem and pain is gonna come when trying to kill stuff. Yes it deals a lot of damage when splats someone but 1.how often are u gonna have a dino stand still long enough to do that? Because that looks the only way your gonna get em. Trying to get a moving target looks very difficult indeed. And 2. Once you've splattered them 1 time, u think they gonna hang around and let you do it again? Its gonna be a big anti-climax dino imo

its kind off sad that the triple dots diet is pretty much required with the abismal stamina. I also feel like the water should deplete slower. You have very little room to play away from water now.
