Excited to finally play Gateway. Spiro has been cool but it's definitely time to have a more polished, finished map. The game has come a long ways when you compare it to 2015-16 Isle gameplay.
It sure has come a long way. It's pretty neat to watch a game evolve like this honestly lol. I am super anxious in a good way to see all the things they have planned come alive. This will definitely be a game to be remembered regardless of what the community has to say.
I was wondering if the scars from the dev streams were getting added, hopefully that combined with the hp being removed will make combat more like legacy where you solely have to rely on visual aspects, now you can REALLY tell how hurt your prey is such as weak scars at 75% hp and when at like 20% itll be heavy scars to show its almost dead! Nice little detail they added!

Probably still W.I.P but looks nice, Im actually gonna post a video soon of a fight I got on the public stress test if you wanna see it, itll be a juvi cera vs juvi stego fight :]

Good lord the landscape is just epic. That little meadow/swamp area with the big roots and canal has to be my favorite. I am foreshadowing some epic showdowns over there. I like how the devs snuck in some animation improvements and even giving omni that kick. Looks much better when z walking now. Im not sure how i feel about the stam however, i do like the idea of having to trot around more rather then run but it also worries me that it might be just awful when your playing something like cerato with it needing to eat so often and get places in a hurry. Hopefully starving to death constantly because your busy sitting for a half hour in order to not move at a snails pace isnt a whole ordeal. But im sure they have something in mind. Looks really good tho and im sure everyone will be pretty impressed with what they have given us here.
5:42 made me realize that tree aren't only going to be climbable as Herrera! For some reason I didn't think that other dinos would be able to stand on the trees.
i think the change to utahs stam regen is pretty fair thinking utahs used to decimate anything with only 5 utahs now they have to be ALOT more coordinated
It's hard getting stam back regularly and now you can't get stam by just regularly trotting seems dumb and it slows down the process of getting anywhere but that's my opinion the new map and animations pretty cool
in the live build getting stam back was a little too easy tbf u could blow all your stam and get it back in like 45 seconds , i like the curve they have added but they need to find a middle ground where getting stam isnt too fast or too slow

Bug or not they should keep the omni pounce the way it is. It's almost as over-bearing as carno charge and deino lunge, it absolutely should have a counterplay in alt attacks
you know the alt attack to prevent being pounced actually seems like a pretty smart way to counter the pounce spam since they removed the damn stun when you miss it , honestly hope they keep that
I kinda like that aswell. It looks smoother and more natural in a way to me, and also might cause raptor packs to be more strategic in their attacks almost like a real animal would. The fights in this game are always so fun to watch. The cerato vs omni pack reminds me of a bear being hassled by a pack of wolves
@@bluexx766 it's a matter of learning how to adapt and shift your playstyle as the game evolves. I haven't stopped playing omni since it got added to the game because I am strategic and adaptable
@@PIayer0 I'm not sure how it would be unplayable if you are coordinated with friends? They can't hit all of you at the same time. Plus it would kind of even out the fact omnis are going to be able to use a bunch of pack members to drag large animals down and essentially pin them. Which sounds absolutely cancer if you have no way to counter it
the gateway videos conviced me to buy the game after knowing it for a while, im hyped for gateway, seems funnier than spyro (only map i played on for now, and i find it limited, even if there is a human base in the mountain and i think something else north west i havent seen yet) i wonder how long we will have to wait until its public :>
Gateways really impressive. Even with the shitty new stam and bugs, i like the little details like dust and moss clinging to your dino. Also why is there always a new pounce bug EVERY SINGLE UPDATE.
watching your stam creep up the whole video gave me such anger lmao. even sitting down its slow??? i'd want to see how it behaved with a full stam diet.
no new dinosaurs just yet i think they are just seeing if the new stam changes and no longer seeing your heart are good changes to put in the live build.
Cant wait for the map. The ugly ass spiro with copypaste plains was a nightmare. Tho i hope the optimazition will be alright bc playin on 30fps is frustrating.
Less demanding... with the new engine updates, the map requires a lot less hardware to run at higher and better settings than Spiro. If I was getting 15 fps on Spiro on max settings il hopefully be getting double that on gateway.
Do you think migration will stop herbivores from kosing since they’ll actually have something to do and a reason to act like an animal and survive in herds and ai will make it easier for bigger carnivores to survive so if they keep everything that in this stress test when gateway comes out we might actually get a balanced healthy realistic ecosystem and the game might go from a dinosaur brawler back into a survival game Edit: and migration will most likely make nesting actually fun to do cause with migration you actually have a reason to nest you can give ur babies a healthy diet faster and add more people to the herd

Gateway is literally going to save this game, not that it was doomed or anything, but this will make it 10x better and more enjoyable

I think the point was to slow the game down but i think they definetly overtuned it and the fact it takes 4 minutes to get stam back is crazy

yeah nah I doubt it, there's no real penalties to stop herbis from just straight up killing a carnivore or another herbi
