Thanks! I’ve waited many years for this, never wanting to play the busted version of a great game. I suppose this means the sequels are much improved as well. Are they also good games, do you know? Might want to buy the trilogy…
I don’t know why you waited for the ps5 pro tho, it plays really good on the base ps5. I got the trilogy disc for cheap and it’s one of the best value games ever along with bioshock trilogy disc
I have noticed when using a hdd external drive playing ps4 games when i have taken pictures with game boost on /off there was no difference BUT when the game was on the console storage and i done the same test there was a difference in quality. Does game boost only work on the ssd console storage 🤔 maybe you can look into it aswell as you might have better equipment ie tv or gaming monitor. Dont take my word for gospel as my eyes might be failing me . Needs looking into
I told you @honestrob the thing is magic it literally improves everyday. The more you play it it’s like it makes everything better and better😂😂 that goes for PS5/PS4 games
Yes, just checked it on my TV... Looks like UA-cam has failed to implement the HDR hence the washed out look. I recorded it in exactly the same way as this video ua-cam.com/video/18v2zJhkniY/v-deo.html which looks fine, the HDR comes on etc, so no idea really! Thank you 🙂
@@svizac69 no I was curious as to whether you were asking about the video quality like how he thought or if you meant you were playing the game and having HDR issues in the game itself. I know the video is grey but I thought you were having trouble with the actual game being grey in color for you yourself.
Super predictable - but I didn't realise the remaster was 20 years old - and this was more about the PS4 game running with a PS5 type upgrade but without any type of official 'upgrade' 😄
@@honestrob right, those of us who also tried the remaster on launch on PS4 understand the significance of this too. I was so hyped for it and disappointed in how it ran on PS4 pro back then. Ran great on the 5 and I guess now I gotta install it on my 5 pro as well. Still have to do 2 and 3 anyhow. I've been going back to compare games with infamously poor resolution/performance and aliasing like Just Cause 4 and have noticed varying levels of improvement. It's definitely there though.
Not actually true. The extra Pro CPU power that boosts all PS5 games will still enhance this a little over the base PS5 version even without a patch as has been shown in many other videos.. Also it was a vid on how something still marked as a PS4 game still got boosted by PS5, Pro or not so not sure what is so funny? 🤡
As ever, even a 4K video cannot do justice to how these games look in real life, but I was really surprised by this one!

@@joshuacalkins I'll be checking out 2 and 3 also! 😀
This game was years ahead of its time
Yea it was! And I'm only just getting to play it properly now haha!!
If I remember correctly this game has been updated for the base PS5 it has ray tracing effects and unlocked framerate.
Yes it certainly has, just strange as these games usually come with a 'PS5 Upgrade' kind of thing, but here was just 'there'!
Yeah there are a few ps4 games with a ps5 patch, but still a ps4 app. Shadow of the Tome Raider and God of War have good ones.
@@larrs8887 Thank you, I will check those out too! 🙂
It only has a PS4 Pro upgrade as far as I know. The PS4 Pro and One X both have the raytracing option available. It isn't current gen exclusive.
I just beat it, it was so good...way better than modern shooters
I'm looking forward to playing it properly for the first time! 😀
Try this Out, all three games are amazing shooters. There is a KI better than much games today.
Yep I'm looking forward to trying them all 🙂
I remember the 6MDM. I’m old 😂
I loved it as a kid - has aged quite badly, but still fun to watch 🙂
I never get past the first hour. Maybe I’ll try again on the ps5 pro
Same! This is a TOTALLY different experience though so I can't wait to play it properly now! 😀
Plays great on PS5 FYI. I had a similar sense of being underwhelmed on PS4 Pro and I too walked away. Until now

Yea I got them cheap too - my backlog is so huge I only just got round to looking at these on the PS5/Pro. Cool they run great on the base PS5 too 🙂

I remember Asus laptop was struggling to play this game with high graphics and the PS3 damn near died😂

It is like some voodoo witchcraft magic is going on a times haha!! 😀
Cool
Cheers!
Hey Rob, do you notice terribly greyed out picture? It looks like absolute cr@p. Love the content though.

Do you mean just the video? Or do you yourself have this issue on your TV?
@calelsun The issue is present regardless of the player you watch it on. Rob adressed it already.
