Totally jealous of that GM1600. I've been looking for one at a non-robbery price for two years, and have yet to succeed. Still blows my mind, people wanting what they do, for them. I've located a few used GM1000 (21") in the $1200 range, but that's about as good as it gets. The 1600s are unicorns in my part of the country.
Thanks for the update on Buffalo grass. I coincidentally planted at the same time as you and I had germination in 5 days. I am anxious to see how it does, both yours and mine
Really looking forward to your recommendations on taking care of the GM1600. There are some nice videos out there, but a refresh on everything would be great.
That annual rye will evaporate when the soil temp get to 80* during the day down here where I live we use it as winter grass and usually about mid April one day it’s there the next it’s gone.
Your grasses and plots look great Ryan. I am well jealous of your big Reel mower, as wee say in Scotland its a belter Lol and the cut on your lawn with it looks awesome.
During the intro, I was like "Damn, Ryan, ballsy move going backwards" when you were using the reel. Then I realized what was going on....I'm not a smart man but I know what love is.
I'm in PA and it's been raining a good amount and i've noticed only one part of my lawn is kinda getting yellow/brown tips? Is that because to much water? Also what height should i be mowing at for this summer? i've heard 3.5 to 4? unforantly i dont have 3.5 just 3 and 4 settings.
Can you please do a video on proper maintenance of a clover lawn and a clover/grass mix? Also I would absolutely buy a guide from your store about that topic. I’ve already bought your cool season guide. I know it’s uncommon for someone to want clover in their lawn, but I want to maintain clover with my lawn for bee pollination. I currently have tall fescue and white Dutch clover in my yard. Thanks Ryan! Keep up the great content.
Great music selection to watch you pound out the Reel Mowing.. Slow Monday in the I.T. meat world... be nice you kick out another video today. Gonna be slow day for me.
You said you got nearly everything replaced or fixed on that thing. If you don’t mind, what ballpark figure did you pay to get that guy in tip top shape?
Rye grass indeed looks the best. Very dark color and i love the thick blades. I find that it repairs itself super fast compared to the other grass types. I have a mix of grass types right now and the rye grass always repairs itself faster if anything has died during winter / after deep dethatch. But I also find that it needs more water. Not a lot more, but I always look at the spot where it's almost only rye grass to see when it is time to water the lawn during summer when I am trying to save water. I hate the brown seed heads though....
5:50-6:10: you may have gotten by without the stalky plants, but my bluegrass/rye lawn sure got them this year. Literally had to scalp it in 90° heat because they were unpleasant to walk barefoot on.
Hopefully you got permission from Connor to have a piece of equipment like that on the lawn. Hopefully you’re getting one of those new Swardman mowers that are larger.

Hey question for u Ryan are going to take away the big grassy bush in-between the big rye grass plot and low cut plots
Happy 4th of July. . . Enjoyed the updates. . . Thanks for the videos
Ohhhhhhhh Boyyyyyy Ryan is in Heaven with his Toro.......That front yard is in trouble!!!!!!!!
NICE one RYAN!!!!!!!
Proud of all your success, Ryan! Beautiful land, beautiful home, beautiful lawn.
Dare you to put in a Par 3 for that green :)
9 tee boxes is the plan on the main field
Sucks for us Canadian folk 🇨🇦 we can't get some of your products
I miss Conner. Where he at ?
Sitting around waiting for his KBG to germinate.
Probably shoveling snow
He's been busy. Recently had a live stream where he talked about how he was really enjoying not having to do editing.
He is still in a deep depression because poa keeps kicking his butt
I believe he recently put out a video.

A new one is 12 times that where I am.
You wanna throttle down when ever you turn those blades on that kubota that PTO will thank you
I’m having the same issue with the seed heads and brown stalks! I’m trying not to look too much, but it’s driving me crazy! 🤪
Nice to see that you finally got a "reel" mower!
Thanks for the update on Buffalo grass. I coincidentally planted at the same time as you and I had germination in 5 days. I am anxious to see how it does, both yours and mine
Great progress on the grass. Happy 4 July from me in London. It's also my partners birthday!
First Aussie 😁. Ryan , the Lawn Ranch is full of surprises . The big question is , when does the Lawn Rebel make an appearance ? 🤠
Really looking forward to your recommendations on taking care of the GM1600. There are some nice videos out there, but a refresh on everything would be great.
Ok I’m jealous. I want a Greensmaster mower myself. Been mowing my kbg with a manual reel I bought for $16 at a Garage sale.
That annual rye will evaporate when the soil temp get to 80* during the day down here where I live we use it as winter grass and usually about mid April one day it’s there the next it’s gone.
We need to give you a lesson on how to execute teardrop turns with your greens mower like golf course pro.
Let there be stripes!
You’ve got a nice family, you’ve built a nice house👋👋👋, but the smile on your face after the first reel now cut😀😀👋😂. Happy 4th of July from Wales Uk.
What was the height of cut?
I’ve got the golf clubs ready 😂 ⛳️
Looks great! Just bought a bunch of fert from you! Looking forward to applying it!
I went down to 1.5 on my kbg and seeing a lot fewer seed stalks this year.
Happy 4th Ryan & Kelsey 👍🏻🇺🇸
What’s the bluegrass variety you are using on your plots? Is it a mix or single variety?
Your grasses and plots look great Ryan. I am well jealous of your big Reel mower, as wee say in Scotland its a belter Lol and the cut on your lawn with it looks awesome.
AWESOME stuff man! Thank you sharing!
Can't wait to see the golf green project
Hot dang.... look at that front yard! Magnificent
Great new mower! Looking awesome!
I’ve got my putter ready for that future green 😉 that front rye is looking clean. Looking forward to some double cut diamonds in the fall!
Greensmaster! NOW we're talkin 🥰
That wider cut is gonna be nice to all the mowing you have now
During the intro, I was like "Damn, Ryan, ballsy move going backwards" when you were using the reel. Then I realized what was going on....I'm not a smart man but I know what love is.

What did you use for wildflower seed? Also did you just overseed that or renovate and plant it specifically?

The elite fescue on your website came in looking fire! What are your thoughts on over seeding with your elite bluegrass or Rye?
You can if you'd like but I prefer to keep the grass types separate if I can. Just my opinion though
Should look into burning that wild flower plot! Super beneficial!
Looking amazing! Has Connor been out? He’s quiet this year😭
Hey Ryan what about having a poa plot so we can torture it, make insults at it and find new methods to kill it!?
any kubota lawn mower reviews coming up? how do you like it?
What in lawn rebel hell?!? Welcome to the club Ryan!
Great idea, I used one in the 70’s , but it didn’t have a motor.

Have to watch the video even if I have a TTTF+KBG lawn and looking for mowers with decks that go higher than 3/4"
So cool on the GM 1600 addition! Finally got 2” of rain near Chicago so hoping to get back in the game soon. Cheers
Where your Swardmann Ryan?
I’ve been waiting and asking for when you’d upgrade to a greens mower, happy you finally grabbed one. Next step is to mow that with a triplex
So far I like my old reel mowers just as much. A little easier to maneuver and not set on one speed
@@ryanknorrlawncare that’s totally understandable, my Jacobsen greens mowers are the same way definitely takes some getting used too
Less than 1 inch of rain in 7 wks
Are you checking/testing for root depth?
nice
get the big ride on one like connor ward has that would be sweet!
About time you got a real reel mower
Connor Ward smiles
Wooo
Yo, Ryan is killin it
👍🌱
WOW!!! CW Style 😎
And the Swordman reps all sigh.
Pretty sure the company is mostly done in the US
Looks good bud!
Thanks!
Thanks so much!
Awesome
Did you buy that from my dad? 😅
I'm starting a collection just like he has!
Glad you finally got a real reel mower
It would be interesting to see if you put down some D-thatch on half the rye plot and could compare if it helped breakdown the stalks.
