I’m in the south east of England (UK), our winters are mild often not getting below 0C in my town. The leaves can die back or rot in prolonged cold wet conditions like snow. It is worth trying although I know zone 6 can get very cold and we don’t experience any temperatures like that here.
Sorry I missed this comment when you posted it! They are generally happy in large pots, it’s best to try and water the soil and not the leaves to prevent mould and rot.
