Great!
Good video, was about to bin it. Thank-you.
Glad it was useful 👍👍
Brilliant video, you saved me from a night of head scratching and power vac destruction
So glad it was useful 😀
Thank you for uploading this video. Really appreciate this and other videos men put up!! As a single mum, such videos have really been a huge help to me. Thanks again H
Fantastic, I am glad it was helpful 😀
How far down do you put the moisture meter in outdoor plants?
Sorry missed this post when you posted it! You ideally want the bottom sensors (tips) where the fibrous roots are/would be, for most plants that would be 2-4 inches/5-10 cm down.
alpine seeds say they prefer 1/8th an inch deep, and all references i see for planting say to sew on top and dont cover with soil.... how did yours turn out? that was alot of soil you piled on top...
About 80-90% germination, I have also sown shallow and the results are about the same, so I would just be a matter of preference.
Enjoy your video, do you ever plant or deal with hellebore plant,id like to try them but are hesitant to try..plants are so expensive in my country so i want to know im really understanding the plant..🌱
I will put doing a video about hellebore on the list! This may be useful: ua-cam.com/video/vkq_6G0j2UI/v-deo.htmlsi=J65XT7dv9QqXwQpv
I enjoyed video found it interesting and informative..🌱🇺🇲🇨🇦
Enjoyed video found it interesting and informative thank you i finally know where your country your in, i asked in previous video as im binge watching your videos, thank you for your knowledge on your plants im finding your videos informative as you plant same type of flowers as i do and not alot of people plant same type as me in my area so im excited to see your videos..🇺🇲🌱
Enjoyed your video found it interesting and informative..i was wondering what country your in..primroses do great in my area zoned 6..in north American...can you overwinter your primroses in containers??🌱
He's in the UK. Going by his accent
I’m in the south east of England (UK), our winters are mild often not getting below 0C in my town. The leaves can die back or rot in prolonged cold wet conditions like snow. It is worth trying although I know zone 6 can get very cold and we don’t experience any temperatures like that here.
How many seeds would you plant in each of the 9 squares?
I kept waiting for you to say " This one goes to 11."
Nice video. I heard primrose don’t like large pots. Can you please give me some advice on this?
Sorry I missed this comment when you posted it! They are generally happy in large pots, it’s best to try and water the soil and not the leaves to prevent mould and rot.
Thank you so much! Take care.
I purchased one recently and its quality shines through. If you love gardening then this tool is a must.
Nice episode. Can anyone help with a name: what is that beautiful light purple flower showing up at around 18 seconds into the video? Would love to have it in my spring garden!
Scilla bifolia
de beeld kwaliteit is niet ok,zeer troebel, spijtig
😍👍👍
what is the mesh for??
Thanks for the question, the mesh is to stop squirrels 🐿️ digging up the bulbs.
Thank you so much for this video. Got this for my 1st one opened it and didn’t have a clue how to assemble it. Now I’m about to use it
Thought you were going to show planting alliums in the borders and bed…thus you YT title. Was hoping to see what other types of plants you would be planting the bulbs around. Did you do a video on what they looked like when they bloomed in the pots?
Hi. Thanks for the comment. The planting is beds and borders method is demonstrated from 5 minutes 20 seconds on the video. I had to demonstrate it in a pot due to ground conditions at time of filming, but hopefully we can shoot a video planting in boarders this year which sounds exactly what you are looking for. I’m sorry I couldn’t find any images or videos of these pots when they were in flower but this is where I got the bulbs from and they have great photos: tidd.ly/464E5xo
damn nice crop
Almost unbelievable 😆
I’ve found Bergenia to be extremely hardy. I’ve propagated mine many times, just by breaking off sections with a decent stem and sticking them into the ground…. nothing else required! 😂 I’ve done this quite a few times, sticking long stalks into other areas of my garden; I’ve done exactly the same in my mum’s garden and also my son’s garden too. They don’t need existing roots, as they’re so vigorous. They all rooted themselves 100% successfully👍🏼 I never use fertiliser on them either. Bergenias are so easy to grow as they look after themselves, apart from a bit of minor pruning for to tidy up aesthetics.
That’s fantastic, they root easily as you say. Success will often depend on soil type, climate, availability of water/watering, the original plant quality, and presence of pest and disease. Sounds like you have a great environment for growing them 👍
Thank you so much. You are super helpful.
Thank you, glad the video helped 😀
action lol
If you’re not having fun with it… you’re not having fun with it 😆 normally I cut the audio sync out but couldn’t resist 🤪
The information was helpful thank you, however a lot of the actions being described were not in the frame of the video!
Thanks I’m happy the information was helpful. Apologies not everything is in shot, it was a solo effort using an iPhone and I had to crop it as I got the camera stand in shot! I’m looking to do a new video soon shot with a camera… so watch this space.
Hi from New Zealand. I rescued some of these from an abandoned garden a couple of years ago; pleased to see I divided them correctly.
Good to hear 💚
Good instructional video. Well done for telling people that it’s not safe to suck up leaves if they are on gravelled areas as powerful vacs can suck up the gravel which will break the plastic impeller blades and ruin the tool.
Thank you for the feedback it really helps me to know what information viewers value 👍👍
thank you! will be following the advice :)
Glad it was helpful 💚
You need to look at your audience not the camera
Thanks for the feedback, hopefully I’ll be better at looking to the audience with my new camcorder rather than a front facing landscape iPhoneX (unfortunately still some old iPhone footage left to upload so bare with)

@@shamikeatley4760 thanks very kind. Glad you found the video useful. 😀
When do they get put outside, are they frost proof?
The bulbs are frost hardy in all soil/compost. The leaves will normally only start emerging after the last of any heavy frosts. So they can go outside in winter.
This is very informative Thank you very much 😊
Thank you for your lovely comment 💚
very helpful thank you, but kept worrying about your sleeves!! ☺
Thank you… yes, it’s rear to spot me without muddy sleeves 😂 🫢
Excellent video thank you very much
Glad you liked it, thanks for the kind comments
Thanks for the video. I purchased a flymo yesterday, and the instructions were not very clear. Your video made it look simple
Glad it was useful 😀
good review easier to understand than reading the instructions
Glad it was helpful 😀
Dzięki Fajny pokaż To zdecydowało o moim wyborze w zakupie dmuchawy Pozdrawiam
szczęśliwy, że to pomogło
what other blower/vacs have you tested and compared with? iv got my eye on a few of them this FLYMO one the VONHAUS and the HYUNDAI one but not sure what one to pick
I did this review about 10 months ago, but the products available have not changed much. All the main blowers of this power and price range a similar in performance. You mentioned the Hyundai, most blower/vacs use a similar design to the Hyundai HYBV3000E, I did not test the Hyundai but tested 4 others with similar blower functions, they worked well but the vacuum settings were not as good as the flymo. The only better blower/vacs I found were petrol powered. The main reason I preferred this model over others in its price range was: the air channel is different for blower and vac settings, this means the vac works better then others corded blower/vacs. This separate vac set up that makes it the best (in my opinion) it also creates a downside that you need to change the configuration from blower and make sure it is locked in place correctly. I think the flymo is the only model that has this separate vac configuration, if that helps with comparison?
yes this has helped thank you for your reply 👍
Great 👍
I hope you didn’t get the Hyundai I did get it and sent it back the next day it was terrible I have now ordered the flymo 3000
@@worksavetravelrepeat6072 no I got the flymo 3000 from homebase on deal for £47. The blower works really well quite powerful to be honest and the vacuum is pretty decent aswell got clogged up a couple of times but just turn it off shake it all out and turn back on and your good to go. overall i was really impressed with it the only thing that disappointed me was i read somewhere it had a metal fan blade thing but it has a plastic one. mabye I was given the wrong information but I'm not worried it seems strong enough. hope you enjoy your leaf blowing 👍😂
What time of year is best to do this?
Hi billiesrus in the U.K. the best time is autumn (Fall), or after flowering in spring.
Hi liked your video 🙂 I'm in Dublin Ireland when would you suggest in planting my crocuses 🙂 My frist time planting 🙈 and a newbie to gardening. Thanks 🙂
Hi Elaine, for Dublin early autumn is best for planting spring flowering crocus; the earliest would be from around that September to the latest December. The best time late September or October if the weather has turned colder, if summers warm temperatures stay late I would hold off until late October early November (but buy them now so you don’t miss out and store them as suggested on the packet).
@@OriginalGardening great that helps alot, it's getting colder now and raining alot. I'll wait until October 😊 have a packet waiting 😊. Thanks 👍🏻
@@elainemfarrell4476 fantastic, happy growing 😀💚
Great vid....re-acquainting ourselves with the Power vacuum and this was super helpful...
Great, glad it was helpful 👍👍
how are things?. amigo-gorgeous masterpiece,goodbye!.🎥
Thanks 🙏
Good video. ......I have one of these Flymo PowerVac 3000, I found that the blower was great in a large area, but if you are in a confined space, like a small yard or garden with lots of containers, the blower will actually blow your flower pots over and damage plants, I wish the vac would suck as strongly as the blower blows!
Good points it is very powerful on blow, I sometimes use a light lawn rake to help tease leaves up when using the vac setting.
Thanks for your video. I took out my Powervac for only the second time recently and it cut out after less than thirty seconds in vac mode. I checked the connections as per your description and they were fine. I had not dismantled it after the first use. Would be grateful for any ideas.
Hi David, sorry just picked up your comment. I hope you had luck making it work? I would try five things (I appreciate you may have done these already): 1) check for blockages in the vac/mulching disc section. 2) check for cord and plug damage. 3) if using an RCD try resetting it or checking directly into the mains plug socket. 4) check none of your fuses have tripped in the fuse box at home. 5) try refitting the attachment pressing it in firmly from behind while you tighten it. Let me know how you get on. Dan
@@OriginalGardening Hello Dan. There was some dried earth obviously creating a blockage. I just gave it a good knock and out it came. Thanks so much for your response and suggestions. David
Great 😀👍👍
Thank you very much. At last, I’ve got the wretched thing to start. Much better than the manufacturer’s instructions. I still prefer the machine’s ancestor from twenty plus years ago. Much lighter and simpler operation - button forward to blow, backward to vac. Only bought the new one because I couldn’t get a replacement debris bag for the old one.
I’m happy this helped 😀 I had an old model also that was much simpler, but I do think this is still the best corded machine in its price range.
A sixth of a spoon? What size spoon? Think scientific!
A tea spoon, you can go up to half a teaspoon normally without it harming the plant. I advise rinsing off the plant with water the next day if you can.
Use your eyes, you can see he's using a teaspoon in the video.
Thank you!!! Exactly what I needed to know!! :) :) :)
Glad it was useful 😀
Thanks very much for your video! I love my new toy 😁 I use it every chance I get! I actually only want to use my high-end petrol strimmer so I can use my powervac after!
Glad you found the video of value 😀 yes the danger is now that you will create jobs so you can use it 😆
Just lovely, garden world🌿
