I’m amazed at why almost 3000 people hate this rendition? Pretty young talented girl doing a great job! ONE YEAR ON OCTOBER 2021 - AND NOW MORE 👎🏻.. Gabriella is a Star and should be applauded! 😎 EDIT NOW ITS OCTOBER 2023 - still listening and enjoying the tune so keep playing well and smile ! 😎

They must be "Purists" Who can duplicate the Beatles work exactly - and probably don't have the skill to improvise of adapt - I happen to Like her 'version' - and I'm Jealous of her skill (Not to mention the skills of the Beatles)

Hello,
I started learning the guitar at the age of 67. I still don't know any notes today, but I do have a few fingerings. When I'm sad or I'm sagging, I take my guitar and just play a few notes and then I feel better. I'll never be able to play as beautifully as Gabriella, but when you paint a picture you will never reach the level of Titian or other great painters and still you are happy when you paint and you are happy with the result. It's fun and when I want to hear perfect playing, I listen to Gabriella without envy. That gives me pleasure.

If you like fingerstyle... check out Luca Stricagnoli. He plays 2 acoustic guitars fingerstyle at the same time. He's not as easy on the eyes as Gabby, but not many are, lol.

@@basedbear1605 Thank you for that. I just watched him play While My Guitar Gently Weeps. A normal 6 string & snap-on 7 string with a sliding bridge. I didn't even know that existed, let alone could be played. I'm very happy to be exposed to something new.
Never says a word, just lets her fingers beautifully play out magic in the form of music and every once in a while, just smiles at the camera. One of the most amazing guitarists ever seen in our day.

@@hisurfer1 For sure, 100% she played this herself! She is such a wonderful, perfect guitar player! Not sure whether it's playback or not, however. It's perfectly synchronously played to her finger movements, so it could be that it's not playback. However, for something played outdoor, there is absolutely no ambient sound, like from the light wind that you see. So it must have been recorded via pickup, not via mic setup. I see no cable, however... 🤔
I'm glad that there's no law against one person having both talent and beauty in such abundance. The world much better off with this treasure in it.

Been trying to learn this song for 30 years, and she nails it without a capo! Jealous. What a talent!

Then if you want to learn it you should look closely at her fretting hand positions. She is substituting her first finger to barre the upper register parts - she has the advantage of long, agile fingers ( she is quite a tall person ) and has supple fretting fingers to hammer on /pull off at the same time barring the chord. Meanwhile her fingerpicking is selecting the correct notes. Combining fretting/ picking requires talent and practice. I imagine she spends hours doing the latter.
Because she is playing it an octave lower except for the opening.

I have watched this dozens of times and I am just amazed at the eaze with which she plays, as well as the awesome sound of her fingerstyle and timely tapping for a percussion sound. Very talented and beautiful young woman.

the actual audio was recorded in a studio but she's a great player for sure. I wish she'd use a warmer sounding guitar but a lot of women like the smaller-bodied Taylors because they fit their smaller frame.

This is amazing! I like the arrangment and in particular how she adds percussion into the mix. Her playing is very full and complete. It actually sounds like there is a guitar orchestra. She is a major talent that people should pay attention to!

No gimmicks. No short skirt. No low cut top. Just pure amazing talent. I watched videos of Gabriella made 6 years prior to this. You can see she is more confident in her playing; she now looks up into the camera which she never did 6 years prior to this. This is one of my favorite Beatles songs and it remains that way after hearing Gabriella's playing.

Me too I miss my brother that died on July 3 1987 the same month and day as Brian's Brian Jones of The Rolling, he died on July 3, 1969! And my dad died 15 years ago too so did my favorite two uncles they died a year after my father did! My uncle Johnny the one that died used to play harmonica and guitar he also played The Beatles songs and other songs too at his parties we used to go to!

This is my favorite Beatle song of all time, in fact my favorite song, period
I grew up playing guitar and I always love playing this song, in fact at a party several years ago I played it and one of the guests said it was the best cover he'd heard since he saw George Harrison play it at MSG years before.
Anyway, I was diagnosed with throat cancer about three years ago, and while the doctors seem to have defeated the cancer, the treatment left me with a few very tough side effects....the peripheral neuropathy from the chemo lef my hands and feet pretty numb and painful...playing the guitar is like torture, the radiation destroyed my sense of taste, salivation and ability to sing....so I was honored and heartbroken when my middle daughter asked if I would record a version of HCTS for her wedding march song.
I practiced and tried, but I knew I'd never be able to play it from beginning to end with my hands cramping up and ruining it.
A good friend with a very nice little recording setup in his attic came to the rescue. With him at the panel we were able to record an instrumental version of the song (NOT AS AMAZING AS YOURS) in several different pieces and then just stich them all together. It wasn't great, but it was acceptable and they played it as my daughter walked down the aisle.
For several reasons it was one of the proudest moments of my life.
You are beautiful and your playing is inspirational....never stop, and cherish every minute of it, you never know when it might be taken away.

*Alfred* - true, reading notation will make anyone a better musician, because it's about so, so, so much more than just learning the right notes. It opens doors to better understanding some aspects of theory, to training your ear better, to developing your awareness of timing, to arranging techniques, to concepts of composition.... etc. Gabriella is a wonderful player already, clearly. Reading notation well would bump her up to an even higher plane. Imagine that!
