I love this idea! I was actually looking to see if I could fix a tiny hole in my dogs pool and going to try this instead! And I love the idea of adding the hose back at the end because I want to be able to drain the water away from where I have to put the pool on my patio! I’ll let you know how that works!
Just did this for my dog’s large pool and didn’t even need a drill! I traced the fitting with a sharpie marker and then cut out the circle with the utility knife. 💦❤️

How many minutes does it take to empty the water out of the pool? Does it empty completely or is there still a little water on the bottom? Thank you!
Its a pretty slow drain, only so much water can come out. You could always add multiple drains if you need it to flow faster. Because the drain is placed slightly above the bend, there will be some water left. But the weight of the pool is reduced that it is easy to lift and remove the rest of the water.
