hi there, i have found some very special snowdrops, could i send you a few bulbs in the green with flower and you tell me its not the prettiest you ever seen.
What a delightful post! Such enviable collection! I planted snowdrop bulbs last autumn but only leaves came out. Should I get rid of them ? Do you think they're defective? Thanks😊
Patience is what is required, it is not ideal to plant them in the Autumn as the bulbs don't like being dried out much. For next time, it is much better to plant in the green. However, the fact that the bulbs have produced leaves shows they are still viable :)
Yes, always plant in the green they will be much more successful. Further, they hate being dried out so don't buy dormant bulbs during the Autumn. They are also gregarious, so prefer being planted in multiples and having company when growing, either in the pot or in the ground. I hope this helps!
Hi, yes! All the varieties we have on sale are listed on our website (under G section for Galanthus): www.greenislandgardens.co.uk/info2.cfm?info_id=235217

@@GreenIslandGardensVideos Thanks!!
Lovely collection. Were these all planted in the green? I’m having a difficult time getting started.

Fiona: Why do you have so many sticks amongst your precious collection please?
They're labels for each different variety to mark where they've been planted
Do you or anyone have some to sell?
