i've had zombieville 2 on every phone i've owned since i bought the game I've had zombieville 3D in my wishlist ever since you announced it I am super excited to play this. it looks great and it looks like a labor of love
Google chose to remove our stuff for being built for older Android versions. They've been cleaning house on anything that hasn't been updated recently. Kinda sucks. :(
I'm using Substance Painter with some custom brushes. Hardware wise, I've used different graphics tablets over the years, right now I'm using a XenceLabs 16" OLED display tablet
@@MikaMobileAppsthat's very exciting! Please keep the mix-and-match talent system. BHL remains one of my favorite all time games on any platform. Endlessly experimenting with builds was so, so, so fun.
Don't know yet for sure - I've been focusing on PC and Steam Deck. A mobile version would require a bit of a redo on the UI, multiplayer connectivity, and controls, but if the game does well I think it'd be worth it to port
So I have some questions I'm hoping you are willing to answer. First one is, will this be released on Mac, Windows, and Linux or at least just Mac along side Windows? Secondly, what made you switch from Unity to Unreal Engine?
I'll just be on Windows at first. Linux should be no problem through proton - I've been testing the game on a linux-based steam deck and it runs great. As for Mac - it's a tiny market, and I don't think the old Mac I have laying around could even run Unreal 5, but if the game is a success I'll see how doable it is. As for the engine switch, here's how it happened: from 2020 to mid-2024, I slowed down on indie stuff and worked as a VFX artist full time, and about half of the work I did was in Unreal, so I got pretty used to working in it as an artist. A little over a year ago, I challenged myself to try and learn some C++ and rebuild what I had of Zombieville 3D in Unreal. It was much easier than I expected, and took about 6 weeks to reach full feature parity. I really prefer it for many reasons. VFX tools, physics, multiplayer, UI creation, animation controls, terrain/foliage tools, and lighting are all superior.
@ amazing! 🤩 Thank you so much for the feedback and quick reply! I agree the engine change makes sense and I’m happy to hear it was mostly a smooth transition. While I understand the Mac market is not as large as the PC/Windows market. I would love a Mac version as I’m sure others will. Or at least an iOS version since Macs can now play iOS games. At least most of the games now. 😇 I also have an iPhone and iPad and would love to play this game on the go. I also have a Nintendo switch which this game would be amazing for, but I understand console is hard for indies. Love the work you have done on the game so far and truly hope I am able to play it soon!
this game will heal my childhood
@@LowLevelLemmy no way we got a verified channel on a mikamobile video

this is looking so good
Filling with dark and painting with light, kinda makes me think of ink washing and dry brushing minis.
This looks fantastic, do you have any plans for a gog release down the line?
@@xelefdev hadn’t thought about it tbh. Probably not, but you never know?
Hey, Why Battleheart 2 removed from play store?
I love that game ....

Awesome work as always! What program(s) are you using to paint your textures?

It will only be for the PC platform, I think it would be a good launch for mobile
Any updates on possible BHL sequel?
@@BastardOfTheNorth yes, I really want to do another RPG after this. Not exactly like Legacy, but with some similarities for sure.
