Thank you for explaining HOW to connect my computer to the IP address. I looked EVERYWHERE on the onefinity forums and could not figure out how to use my desktop. Seems like such a simple thing for a start guide which they just don't include!
Your teaching style is so clear and concise. Thank you so much for this info! It will help me get my orientation right since I installed my 1F upright on the wall.
Networking note... There is a chance that your CNC will get a different IP address from your network when/if it renews its settings. This depends on the settings of your wifi network. You may want to create an IP address reservation on your network for the CNC. This way, it will get the same IP address every time it renews its settings. Otherwise, you may need to re-lookup the IP address of your CNC again in the future. Great video!
I know just enough about networking to be dangerous. Which means I don't know how to create an IP address reservation 🤣. I will look into this. Thanks for the info.
I really enjoyed the part when you got into showing how to connect the 1F to your computer. That has always been greek to me. I think I can get it now. Do you just add that to your tool bar so you can access it easily? Thanks for your time in making these videos. My Journeyman will be here tomorrow. Should be an interesting time.
Yes. I just made it a quick link. Also make sure you permanently assign it's IP address with your network. If you don't your network could change the IP address on you and your link will stop working. Exciting day for you tomorrow. Thanks for watching.
I hard wired connected so it's not going to change as it's an APIPA address is 169. You do this and you're good to go. No need to statically set anything.
@@MattMadeIt123 Once you connect via USB (which is what I am assuming you're using for the hardwire), how exactly are you bringing up the interface? Same process ?
@@jackseiler5207 Hardwire is via an ethernet cable. Once connected and with your CNC powered up, just type in your CNC's IP address and the interface will come up as a web page.
I'm not an IT expert, but one thing to check is to make sure your machine is connected to the same WIFI network as your computer. From your comment, it appears your CNC isn't connected to a network. Try going through the procedure at 9:15.
I seen your video and I can't get mine on the network could you help me Mode is changed to client Network (SSID) IS MY network I put my password and it reboots AND it comes up IP:SSID
@@MattMadeIt123 Me too I am a tool guy for 60 plus years. When some one asked Hey Lee do you have???... I say stop right there unless you are asking for a CNC Router or 3D printer the answer is most likely YES but I am working the the those Now just the 3D printer on the wish list still have not got my !F up and running but working at it Your video might be the final step .I am a MAC user and have never right clicked anything and the shop as of yet has no WIFI so that thumb drive option would be a pain and the small touch screen is too small for my fat fingers

You're welcome. Glad I could help!

Great point. I'm connecting over wifi but I should have mentioned that a hard wire connection is an option. Thanks for adding to the conversation.

Great Content! Thanx!
Glad you liked it!
I wonder why my SSID name isn’t displaying next to the IP address in the top left?? I’m having a hard time trying to connect easel to my onefinitey.

Sorry, I'm not understanding where you're at with this. Send me an email and I will try to help out.
I just didn't understand why you used the table saw to make the sides with dadoes instead of the Onefinity.
It's just what I'm used to. Been cutting dados with a table saw since middle school.

@@lelandwildes5236 Check out the Onefinity forums. I'm sure there are folks who control their machines via Mac who can help you out.
