Very good and timely video. Just assembled my Elite Foreman this past weekend. Going to be installing the waste board and t-track as soon as the delivery guy gets here. The tip on cutting in a groove in the t-track was definitely worth the whole video. Thanks!
I’m setting up my one finity elite this week. I also have the water cooled pwn spindle. What and where did you get for a circulating water pump. And. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise.
Upgrading a Onefinity X-50 Journeyman to an Elite Series with Masso. I will definitely be using some of your tips like the motor mounting orientation and T track slots in the middle. Looking forward to more videos. Thanks!
Thank you for your videos. I have ordered this cnc a month ago, expecting to get it July 3rd, UPS shows it is on the way. YOOOOHOOOO, just wanted to share my happiness. 😁😁😁
I'm probably going to copy the steel portion of your table. Is your Onefinity bolted through the plywood topper and into the steel? Or is it simply attached to the plywood which in turn is anchored to the steel? I was looking at the various angles of your steel table prior to the plywood, and I don't see any tabs that line up with where the 1F might attach directly through the wood into the steel, but your comment at ~1:49 gives me pause. Thanks again for all your videos, they're greatly appreciated.
for the under drawer - i would suggest putting some castor wheels on lengths to support the drawer front. that way, you can make it as deep as the table, while also keeping the drawer level even when filled with wood
Great machine and helpful tips. I need to clear out some room in my shop before I can even fit in their small machine. Looking forward to seeing more videos about this. - Chris
hi I'm loving your tutorials thanks for you detailed videos. can you provide information about spindles as I am change over from Makita to a 12 mm Spindle and have trouble with my z axis . I have an Elite Journeyman with I purchased recently
I hope you will go into how well the Masso works it seems like people either love it or say it’s trash I’m always confused on if it’s a decent controller or not?
I own a MASSO and it's more expensive then other solutions but Onefinity gives it to you as a part of the build that is a nice option. I built my own DIY-CNC and bought the MASSO from the company and it with options ended up costing around 2 grand. They have a forum where a lot of very experienced CNC operators that have extensive experience. The process of running the MASSO is just understand that the emergency switch gets used a lot so you may want to get another emergency switch ether as a backup or add it externally. I added the expansion board to reduce the number of wires going to the box down to two 24 pin parallel cables because there is a mountain of wires between the stepper motors drivers and to the MASSO again MASSO addressed this on the Onefinity by creating a NEMA 23/24 driver that basically runs on the top of the stepper. Well good luck and it's a lot of fun and not that hard. Oh one more I setup a must have a toolsetter "I bought a wireless one" and a probe again must have for setting material up.
Thanks for the reply I take it that you like the controller? If nothing else people do seem to always say it’s fairly easy to operate has a intuitive workflow I’m considering it but also looking at the Acorn 🤔
Your last feeds and speeds video was great, but those industrial machines have a lot of horse power and rigidity. I'd love to see another feeds and speeds video based on this machine to help us relate.
@@cutting-it-close thank you!....I'm surprised they didn't put any spindles for the Foreman on the website. btw, hate that I missed you at IWF 2024 in Atlanta. I tried reaching out to you a couple of months ago about a DIY truck camper build kit I've designed. Do you recall seeing anything from me?
Great video, thanks so much for it! I’m thinking about starting off with getting the smaller one finity CNC and a laserand start making some products. Every bit of knowledge helps. Thanks!
I initially set it one inch above my table top without the spoilboard on it. I did so I could cut into the tabletop with a v bit. I then lifted it some so a 1/4 bit would not cut no more than .375” into my spoilboard in case I forget to z height it. So it’s now at 1” above my spoilboard.
Thank you. The reason I ask, is I am trying to determine what the maximum potential depth of cut could be with z axis of your spindle at its maximum height. Do you think you could cut down to 6.25 inches with a 7 inch long endmill of 1/2 inch diameter? I am getting mixed answers from the onefinity online support regarding maximum z axis travel. I will not be using a spoil board for my potential project.
I don’t know, I think it could at slower speeds, but I’d run a 3/8 or 1/4 before running it with the 1/2” because no point if if I can’t get to the high speeds I want.
@@cutting-it-close Got ya..yup I have no clue. I just got into the cnc world so your the expert. I've watched that video of that 1/2 bit hogging out the tray like 100 times this weekend..just love it. I'm getting my first 1/4 roughing bit today so I'll try that out.
I know he will say it next week but I’m assuming a few things. 1. Have a machine that’s more affordable so his content is not that far out of reach. 2. He’s going to launch a cnc business program and wants to have a machine same of above that doesn’t seem out of reach to show a journey of launching your business. Either way needs more relatable content and a way to get people over to his program which can’t blame the guy because look at what he was able to accomplish.

Yes that t-slot tip comes from years of wishing I had it!
Is there a particular video you would like me to cover?

Congrats!!! I hope this helped you!
I use a little antifreeze, mainly to prevent algae and/or microbes.

Perfect timing, retiring in a few months and looking at getting a OneFinity.
Awesome!! How else can I help?

Agreed, I’ll make sure it can hold some weight for sure!
Nice, a OneFinity Elite foreman. That seems like a fantastic machine. Nice. Thanks for your videos, they are helpful
Is the table your own design? Also where did you need 220v - for the spindle?

You can always wall mount!
@@OnefinityCNC, you're assuming that I have space on my walls.😁

Question: do you run your CNC machines directly from the outlet or through a UPS? Any benefit to either option?
What spindle do you use? I am looking to add my second CNC and am looking into the Onefinity Elite series as well. Just relocated to the OKC area.
I just put the link in the description, it’s a PWN spindle. Congrats on adding your 2nd CNC that’s huge!!!
Can you show your shop vac setup?

In warmer areas we call antifreeze "coolant". Because that's what is really for.
Your last feeds and speeds video was great, but those industrial machines have a lot of horse power and rigidity. I'd love to see another feeds and speeds video based on this machine to help us relate.
I have one being able to be customized coming out soon!
What spindle did you use?
I use a pwn 2.2 Kw spindle

What is your maximum z height of your end mill collet base on your spindle to the spoil board surface?
I initially set it one inch above my table top without the spoilboard on it. I did so I could cut into the tabletop with a v bit. I then lifted it some so a 1/4 bit would not cut no more than .375” into my spoilboard in case I forget to z height it. So it’s now at 1” above my spoilboard.

100% you can!
Hey Thanks Ryan Honestly that was as Good as it Gets Phenomenal!
Thank you, I tried to make it as straight forward as possible, I had a hard time finding good install info!
Curious why did you get this machine given all your other heavy-duty commercial machines? Thx
The video I launched today covers it!
I really like your t slot tip I have a shapeoko and that would be really helpful nice video
10 years for me to figure that out haha, glad it helped!
Nice build video with good ideas that people should be able to use.
they upgraded the packaging after the first few rounds of shipping. its alot of cardboard but very much needed
The 1f is so easy to setup. An hour if you have your table already setup.
When is the improved feeds and speeds cheat sheet dropping?
Doing finishing touches to it, it’s going to be amazing!
Don't lie! It froze that one time! Snowpocalypse....
That's a great way to outline your work space. The mdf doesn't swell/warp in the humidity?
No it doesn’t swell or warp in my smaller machines. On my 5x10 it cups when it gets dry, so we have to flip it so the vacuum pump gets a grip.
Why did you choose this machine ?
I’m doing a full video over it next week!
I know he will say it next week but I’m assuming a few things.
1. Have a machine that’s more affordable so his content is not that far out of reach.

@@cutting-it-close Wow I am honored!!
I appreciate you watching the videos, it means a lot, any particular video I can make for you?
I give you 3 weeks before that Masso mount drives you crazy and you buy an extension or an articulated monitor arm on Amazon 😁
Time will tell!
Got him a onefinity ... Nice
Yeah, had to have something semi relatable, instead of all of the industrial machines I have.
