For me, mentzer heavy duty really suits my goal. I can recover properly and come back stronger for the short & intense around 30mins workout. 3 - 4 days btw workout, i can do my swim/bike /run training. (i'm doing triathlon as an age grouper). can train for both my endurance events and keep my musle/strength at the same time.
I love following these works outs have been doing so for a few months, only thing is gyms are so crowded now so it’s hard to do supersets and I alwyws have to wait on a few machine to open
I used that machine several times back in the 1980s and it was one of a kind, the cam was configured to make the weight much heavier the more your legs got to straightening out, where they are the strongest. Definitely the best leg press machine ever invented.
It's super taxing on multiple levels. HOWEVER, after a few months, your neurological adaptations make it much easier to then just focus on perfecting form and progressive overload over time.

Hey John, thank you for uploading these. I'm reviewing this video before Leg Day based on the ideal program from another video. The Exercises match entirely except for the addition of the hamstring curl (& Lat Pullovers for chest and back day 1). Seeing as this was Mike's most recent presentation of his ideal split, is it acceptable to add the hamstring curl & lat Pulldowns demonstrated in this DVD? (Of course, accounting for additional recovery, keeping track of strength, and avoiding additional inroads)
