to jailbreak an iphone 4 I think you have to download an app called Ph0enix (or something like that, its been a while). Thats how I jailbroke my iphone 4 way back when. There are different jailbreaks for different ios versions and/or devices, that all basically accomplish the same thing. I would try looking up "jailbreak iphone 4" up on youtube. I believe you can install ph0enix from tweakbox, which is an app you can in turn download straight from safari on your phone. either way, you CAN jailbreak, and it is totally worth it to do so.

Just gave my iphone xr that was jailbroken for the past year to my grandmother in favor of an android, so much more freedom without even needing to root it, but it's rooted anyways, now I can truly do whatever with it
There’s a lot of hidden features on iOS that I always find out by mistake. Swipe selection was one of them. Recently, I found out that my Bluetooth headset was causing me wifi issues on my iPad. Turned off Bluetooth and my speed went from 3.5Mbps to 20Mbps.
Happy John yes. From what I read on google, Bluetooth and wifi use the same 2.4ghz frequency. So does a microwave oven, that’s why it disconnects wifi when you are around one that is in use.
Actually if you stayed with a 3D Touch iPhone like me (preferred the iPhone XS Max just because of 3D Touch) you still have 3D Touch anywhere on the keyboard. I still love 3D Touch and will hold on that Phone as long as 3D Touch is working, but it's a shame that all the Apps remove 3D Touch step by step because Apple set it to deprecated in code basis.... So I think even if I stay with a 3D Touch Model...it will bleed out slowly and painful
Been jailbreaking since ios 7 days with Eva1sion. I’m currently on my iPhone 8 Plus on iOS 13.5.1 running a different jailbreaking called chekra1n which is a more powerful jailbreak compared to uncover this one has a bootrom exploit which can’t be patched by an update from Apple (only works on iPhone X and lower) but regardless I’m super hyped that Linus acc hopped in to the jb scene that’s super nice to see.
Steven Linigari checkra1n is awesome, specially combined with chimera-deploy/odyssey-deploy. Only downside is that you’ll have to run it through a pc if your device reboots/powers off. Got it on my iPad 5th gen. unc0ver on my iPhone 11 Pro Max, while waiting for Odyssey to be released.
It's not really more "powerful" just a different kind of jailbreak. Also, if you reboot your phone with checkra1n you have to redo the whole jailbreak. If you reboot your phone with unc0ver you can jailbreak at the click of a button in an app.
I bought an iPhone 6s last year to jailbreak and I still found myself mostly on my Samsung lol I sold it, tweaks are cool but still not as practical or anesthetic as my android.
No, reprovision is bugged on iOS 13.5, it’ll say that your app is signed but it’ll only be signed for the jailbroken state. The expiration date is still there. The only way as of now is with altstore, bust Saunders tech is releasing a video soon on how to sign altstore without a computer (must be jailbroken first)
Jermaine Brown the problem is that tweaks that do so little like just leave music playing when respringing cost money, like 3 dollars when all you have to do is just patch something out and tell it to not stop the music
memes_gbc yeah I found it really disappointing when I jailbroke this time. I don’t like pirating and I don’t condone it, but for some things I feel like it’s just so petty to charge 3+ dollars for something so minimal
xXxMOB Apple removed 3D Touch to make more space by removing the 3D Touch engine and increase battery capacity. The iPhones come with haptic feedback like the MacBook touch pads. Essentially, it’s not much different from the 3D Touch.
Arindam Baruah by any means it is not even remotely as functional as 3D Touch. I use iP8Plus daily and I miss this function very, very much. Especially while in home screen or when typing
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: To prevent your device from auto updating to 13.5.1 need to go into settings and select auto updates off and then go into Uncover and turn off disable auto updates it might seem counterintuitive but it will prevent them from conflicting and auto updating
Just got back into the iOS environment again. So much has changed. Good to see that the jalibreaking community is doing really well. I'm almost tempted to jailbreak this iPhone right out of the box lol
This is why the core trust bug nowadays is so good to have. No need to refresh the app’s signature. We used to use reprovision to resign the apps on the device it’s self rather than hooking up to a PC to redo it everytime.

Dang I wish I could go back to days like these where ios 13.5 was the latest iOS. I upgraded my iphone 8 to an iphone 12 sometime in 2020 when the iphone 12 was brand new, and sometime between then and now I've found myself on iOS 14.6, and by the looks of it I think I must have updated the phone at least once or twice from the time I got it before I turned off the updates because they just simply bothered me. Now at this time I didn't know much about jailbreaking, but when one of my friends told me about how he jailbroke his iphone 11 with ios 14.7.1, I thought that the jailbreak looked really cool and he said the only drawback was that it only worked on ios 14 versions (he just assumed i had 15 because everyone did at this point). This made me really happy that I had disabled my updates back however long ago I did, as checking my ios version I still had 14.6, but then I figured out after learning how to do the jailbreak that ONLY for iphone 12 and higher, the jailbreak would not work on 14.6-14.8, you would have to be on 14.3 or lower if you had a newer phone. now idk how long it's been since then but im still waiting for the time i can jailbreak my iphone 12 with uncover on 14.6, as i've heard it should come out at some point. i love how now that I've been purposely holding back updating I'm still on ios 14 with a phone as new as a 12 and ios 16 is literally out lmfao oh and random edit: i am able to jailbreak my ipad with ios 13.5.1 (i guess from the time this video came out and now, the jailbreak does work on 13.5.1), and it's really nice using my ipad lol
Ahh, I remember the days of rooting my phone, spending more time bootloader than the actual phone, because there was always something new and exciting to flash.

Of course you may not like iPhone because of the lack of features and to be fair, as an iPhone user, I hate it too, which is why I plan on switching to android. The point that I’m trying to make here is that you SHOULD dislike something if you don’t like it but NOT hate it.
N4ught7_Nolan it was made legal in like 2014 iPad was last to be deemed legal however it’s against Apples TOS so if u take a jailbroken device into the store to fix and they find out it’s jailbroken they can refuse it, however unless your device is completely broken unjailbreaking is easy.
These videos aren't on UA-cam as often because bypassing operating systems has become harder and harder to do due to those said operating systems adding tons and tons of security features, therefore making it harder to find a way to bypass it.
I'm sorry to comment after just the first minute of watching, but I am in the same boat. The problem is that the jailbreak is broken after every single update. Last time I tried going iOS, I had to wait months to a year for the next jailbreak. Screw that.
I mean, yeah? If you're doing something that the developers don't want you to do, don't update your device, because the exploit you used is going to get patched out. This is the case with Android, iOS, and every console Jailbreak since software Jailbreaks became a thing.
@@oblivion2k490 but ios is by far the platform that pushes you to jailbreak the most because of its lack of customizability. Rooting is cool and all but I never really felt like it was necessary whereas that's exactly how iOS makes me feel
@kevin adding customization options wouldn't in any way hinder YOUR iOS experience and possibly improve it for a LOT of people and ultimately yes it is Apple's fault for not delivering from that standpoint. The need to jailbreak arises only when there are needs or desires that are not fulfilled by the company, some features should rightfully never be implemented (like pirated apps for instance) and others could very easily be added as an option (so not to break your incredible clean and simple experience). Just to name one why the fuck can I not have a battery % If I want my phone to show it. To be clear I don't want it to be easier to jailbreak and I wouldn't care if jailbreaking was impossible as long as Apple implements the good and harmless features that most people are turning to jailbreaking for. Thus eliminating the need for it in the first place. Heck they wouldn't even need to make it impossible because only a few would ever care to do it at that point
i don’t care at all tbh. the features they add aren’t that important to me. i’m still running ios 13.3, with unc0ver. i only update if i can jaikbreak.
I remember having to jailbreak my 2G so I could use it with T-Mobile. When I went into the ATT store at the time I asked If needed an ATT account to buy it, they looked me funny and said no. Boy, did that not last long. It took an hour of running code and unlocking the phone via SSH and putty back then. It is so much easier today.
@@TheRandyPuff As long as you save your blobs with tss saver and the currently signed sip firmware is compatible you can use futurerestore to restore to the jailbreakable version (if sip isn't compatible you would lose touch id/ face id and prolly want to just restore to current firmware and lose jb). With substrate safe mode bad tweaks are not likely to cause soft brick though. Just uninstall them from safe mode when springboard crashes.
Love Iphones it’s legal, you can get your warranty back by unjailbreaking, it’s completely safe unless it’s fully untethered and it lets you customise your device to just how you like it. What’s not to like?
5:45 If you lose access here are the steps to reopen the app (or any self-signed app) if you need to: Follow in order- Turn off WiFi Turn on airplane mode Turn on low battery mode Go to settings -> safari -> scroll down to the bottom -> clear history and website data Then you can open any self-signed app for as long as you keep airplane mode+low battery mode on, if you turn them on again you'll have to repeat the process

Pretty sure pangu 7.x jailbrake works
to jailbreak an iphone 4 I think you have to download an app called Ph0enix (or something like that, its been a while).

Got checkra1n too :)
It's not really more "powerful" just a different kind of jailbreak. Also, if you reboot your phone with checkra1n you have to redo the whole jailbreak. If you reboot your phone with unc0ver you can jailbreak at the click of a button in an app.

Yeah but the tweak enables it on all keys, like it used to before Apple (for some reason) removed 3D Touch.

This made me really happy that I had disabled my updates back however long ago I did, as checking my ios version I still had 14.6, but then I figured out after learning how to do the jailbreak that ONLY for iphone 12 and higher, the jailbreak would not work on 14.6-14.8, you would have to be on 14.3 or lower if you had a newer phone.
now idk how long it's been since then but im still waiting for the time i can jailbreak my iphone 12 with uncover on 14.6, as i've heard it should come out at some point. i love how now that I've been purposely holding back updating I'm still on ios 14 with a phone as new as a 12 and ios 16 is literally out lmfao

I wish they'd made more videos like this in 2024, jailbreak ingredients, rooting, bypassing things etc..
@kevin how does someone else jailbreaking their own phone have anything to do with you and your experience with your phone
i don’t care at all tbh. the features they add aren’t that important to me. i’m still running ios 13.3, with unc0ver. i only update if i can jaikbreak.
