Awesome video and pen. You’re my favorite woodturner! Love how you’re not afraid to show hiccups and then how to recover from them, which will happen to anyone...makes you very real and relatable. I’m very new at pen making and you’re not only a great teacher but encouraging as well. Looking forward to seeing all your videos! Thank you.
Thank you Michael,
I truly appreciate that.

Gorgeous! I gotta get some of those turn between centers adapters. Nice to see I'm not the only one who has to take them apart.
LOL, that’s what I get for not reading the instructions.

Bob
Hi Bob, Nice pen Bob. I have done exactly that as well and had to dismantle the cap. It's annoying when it happens but with the correct punches the issue can be resolved. Cheers Huw
Thank you Huw,

I just finished my first Jr. kit, which is a Jr. Joshua. I know it's my fault, but I have to say that the instructions could be a little clearer as to the direction the nib end of the pen faces while turning the blanks. In some cases it wouldn't make a difference, but I was using a blank that needed to match a particular way and since I made the front end "backward", the pen only looks correct when the cap is screwed on the back. When looking at the layout of the bushings on the machine, you HAVE to notice that the long tube (nib end) is facing toward the cap end, and not away from it, as is the case on every other direction sheet I have seen. I tend to turn two-piece pens like this:
Hello Brian,
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve made that exact same mistake. You are correct the Instructions could be a lot better.

Bob
Greetings. A question about acrylic pen blanck: when do you have to put a layer of AC glue to finish and when not ?.
Your videos have helped me a lot when making my feathers in wood and acrylic. Congratulations
I only use C/A glue as a finish because the acrylics have a similar surface and do not need the C/A. You can use it but it’s overkill.
Regards,
Bob
Hey Bob! I know this is an older video, but if you remember, you said that you'd do a future video and do the "button" for the end of the pen. Did you ever do that? I watch most of your videos, but may have missed that one.
I haven’t but I’m glad you reminded me.
Regards,
Bob
Good looking pen where did you get the blank from?
Please
The info was in the video description. I was given the blank by Travis but it was a collaboration by him and Braxton.

Great save as usual Bob. Maybe you could of started with 240 as opposed to 120 grit.
Thank you James.

Love the pen. What pen press are you using. Tired of using my drill press
I use a Miles Craft press. You can find them on Amazon

Bob
I really love the Penn State Industries Assembly/Disassembly press. Works great for assembly, but also quickly converts to a dis-assembly tool that is very effective: www.pennstateind.com/store/PENPRESSXL.html
Travis's blank looks like it has some marks in it. Is that the case or is it part of the card he used?
I think the card is either made like that or maybe it was used. It adds real character to the blank.

Bob
