Been a fan of several Canadian artists most of my life (Bachman Turner Overdrive and Rush). But I've always had a special place in my musical heart for Gordon Lightfoot. This cover is my first time hearing either of these two. What beautiful rendition.
They should do a full album together, their voices are one of the finest pairings i've ever heard. The guitars are incredible too. This is by far the best cover version of this song ever done. Sarah's voice is just soaring here. This performance needs to be officially released somewhere.
Hmmm. She's kind of got the wrong approach here. It's an intimate song. It's not a song you yell l all the way through. He would have done better solo.
You have to be kidding me! Sarah sounds incredible here.. this is an absolutely brilliant version, Jim knows she's the power here, he purposely floats along nicely in the background and lets her take sail. Sarah is a master pianist and vocalist, she's like a female Freddie Mercury. When you are doing a cover or tribute of a song, you don't always have to do a note for note replica, you do your own thing and while keeping the real feel, and they did that perfectly here. After this show Gordon said this was the best performance of one of his songs that he had ever witnessed. That's from the man himself.
I get what you're saying. It sounds beautiful, but it lacks a bit of the intimacy in style. She has a nice voice, but she sings it in a style that is not quite somber or moody enough. Music is about the feels, and it's not enough just to sound great and hit every note. The mood is just as important as those two elements. Jim was, as always, amazing and he did follow her lead. They sound very nice together and I would like to hear more duets with them.

I totally agree. Some beautiful harmonies here at 0.33 She was pretty smitten I think. :)
Thank you for sharing; Excellent quality, and an equally excellent collaboration!
@OptimusPounds It is. Click on the right up to 480p sounds slightly better again. :-)
