Lot's of boomer's learning to live alone. It's a tough go. But we got this. God Bless
Jim Cuddy has one of the most beautiful, natural, purest voices in all of music.
He absolutely does..great natural falsetto...great timbre...his voice is this comfy blanket that I swear gets better with age. A lot of singers (sadly) the opposite happens.
Agree 100%
Agree a 100%!
He was blessed.. what I wouldn't give to sound half as good...instead of an old frog
Beautiful song. Since she left, I have been "Learning to Live Alone" for the past 27 years. Lots of hobbies and I rescue dogs. Things are good.
Same story to tell from the other side though … 🙏😄☘️🫖❤️🇨🇦
YAY! Good on ya! Keep rescuing dogs!!! (I rescue too, and huge Cuddy fan)
The last time you performed with Orchestra London my husband Walter took a great photo of you and I, smiling because your fingers were greasy from eating chicken right before he took a photo of us! Lol That photo holds such wonderful memories of that fun and special moment. And now Walter has crossed to the other side and so I resonate with the lyrics as I try to learn to live alone.
Beautiful song Jim! Thank you! ❤
I am sorry you lost your love. This song reminds me of those lost.
If you have not heard it, you might listen to the song "The Photograph" by The Chapmans. It has some of the same sense of longing and loss mixed with loving memory. It is one of my favorites too.
Thank you for sharing. I am an American but a great fan of many Canadian musicians, going back to Ian & Sylvia , Gordon and Stan among many others also lost to time now. Too many to name .
Hold on to the memories and the love.
Jim is one of Canada's treasures when it comes to writing melodies much like Jimmy Rankin. As an immigrant who has lived in this Garden of Eden for 48 years now am 71 and so, thanks.
Whoa,Jim Cuddy, your voice is still beautiful ♥️I’ve had to live alone for almost a year,my beloved husband passed away a year ago on the 30th May2024 ♥️Thank you for writing this xx ♥️🇨🇦
Around 1990, I moved to Edmonton to work at Shaw TV, the community tv station as a cameraman. Shortly after, i was assigned to travel down to Calgary with a reporter to interview Blue Rodeo! I sat in a hotel room with Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor for nearly an hour. It was a huge thrill. The reporter was a pure rookie reporter, so how she scored that interview, i dont know. But they were gracious and very kind. We heard later that they really enjoyed the interview, and found the inexperienced reporter actually refreshing. So I met Jim Cuddy!
Jim played this song at both of his recent performances at Joe's Pub in NEW YAWK CITY. March 26th (my birthday) and 27th. Accompanied by his son, Devin, on piano.
It was my wife's first time visiting the Big Apple...we ended up spending 11 nights there; staying just across the street from Central Park. We packed in visits to both the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art, took the Circle Line Tour around Manhattan, attended four Broadway shows, the two JC shows, and even Billy Joel's 100th show of his residency at Madison Square Garden. And we owe it all to Jim Cuddy...my favorite singer in the world for 30 years now. It was an email I received announcing those shows at Joe's Pub that started the whole ball rolling. GOOD TIMES! And, GOOD LUCK with the new album, Jim!
We were at the show on the 26th! Soooo good! As always. Even when the US government stops your band from entering the country. lol.
Sounds really fun ❤️🫖☘️😄🙏🇨🇦
One of the most genuine, sweet men I have ever met.Fantastic song from a fantastic Canadian artist.
Jim Cuddy, another great Canadian musician!
When the song first started, I was amazed at how well Jim's voice held up all this time. Then when the chorus hit, it brought tears to my eyes, eliciting a feeling in me I hadn't experienced since the first time I heard the chorus of Head Over Heels so many years ago.
Amazing, Mr. Cuddy! Thank you for writing the soundtrack to some of the best parts of my life. ♥️
There are voices and then there are unique, incomparable Voices...how fortunate are we that the very talented Jim Cuddy has such a Voice?..a feast for my ears every time I hear him perform...I give this song a 5 star out of 5 star rating....Thank You Jim Cuddy, for this offering, and for all the other memorable musical memories through the years....❣...Cheers from Alberta, Canada❣.....
How’s it possible that you are 68 years old?! You sure don’t look at it. Big fan since the beginning. Saw you live in Summerside, PEI twice in the late 80’s. Thanks for all the wonderful music and memories.
Had to learn to live alone when my son moved away in 2018, the silence especially at night when the lights go out are still the hardest but you have to adjust, you're never alone when you have a dog or 3
Never quite alone when you live with a dog in your life....
Or 3
A national treasure for sure. Nary a missed step in in 40 years. "Tanks Jim b'y".
Jim, there’s no such thing as a bad song with you. Thank you for always reaching us 🙏

Where did she go? Harvard Grad School? She works for the Oilers, and travels with them all season? She's a SnowBird, and heads south for the winter? Other ideas, please!

That IS funny!
What a beautiful song Jim! ❤ Thank's for creating such great music!
Hey, whatcha doing walking down my back alley? Beautiful song. Your voice is 💯
I was distracted by all those garages that could be turned into sweet homes. Add windows and some beautiful decor, plants, flowers, etc. I'd love that. Visit the ruelles in Montréal and you'll find charming and unique living spaces along the alleyways. It's time to rethink urban space for living.
🌹⚜️🙏❤️🔥✝️🐑🕊
Absolutely brilliant. Top of my favourites playlist for sure! Thanks Jim.
Good bass line, good song.
Me and Jim are the same age❤Great song

Hit those high notes quite competently. Pretty good song, not his best but nothing wrong with it.
Yes. A song to describe my presentation as I live my life. Be safe my love always
Wow...a picture...of himself
Reminds me ..... gotta shave my legs ☀️ 😂
I am sorry Jim hope you are OK. :) ... Hank Rich Blue Rodeo
Art of yourself in large scale on your own wall.
I can tell you why you live alone.
Oooh, that microwave door opens the wrong way!!!
What?!? 😂 No it doesn’t 😂
Hey there’s a discrimination problem in that office…how do we fix it?
He needs a cat.
Where’s Greg?
Is it just me or are he Wayne Gretzky twins?
Apparently it’s just you.
Over the years Blue Rodeo and Jim Cuddy's music have been so impressive and quality, world class songs all the time! BUT, their music videos unfortunately have not done the music near the justice it deserves. ie. the staged shots of Jim on the couch etc just don't work! and have no relationship with the rhythm or essence of the music. Meanwhile, the outdoor shots Jim playing in the snow/sleet are actually fantastic!
A few weeks ago, Jim Cuddy signed a letter in support of puberty blockers for children. Does he still stand by this?
If it was just a few weeks ago, I'm going to go out on a limb and put my money down on 'yes!'
Good one Jim.
Jim please come back to Dublin 🙏😄❤️☘️🫖, it’s been way too long!
