Morrowind Helped me to cope with some of my hardest times in life, this music is home for me. Thank you Soule.
same bro, same
I found my people
It's so uniquely soothing.
I wish it was a real place.
Дом, ты прав
This takes me back late 90s. Out of college, at my first real job, living on my own for the first time in a tiny apartment.
So interesting how music from a later point can so perfectly encapsulate an earlier point in our lives. Thank you for sharing! I sympathise immensely.
Similar for me, how is your life right now?
@jarosawzdanewicz9922 in my 50s. Married with 3 kids. One in high school, one in college, one in the real world. Currently own a ps5 and enjoying final fantasy 16. Yourself?
@adjwindu70 damn dude making life sound normal haha, I'm 25 working out in a remote camp on a gold mine I listen to this as both an elder scrolls fan but also because sometimes I'm bored and like writing stories 😂
Morrowind was my haven from demanding family necessities and no cash to go out to the theatre etc, it really worked, Id be so chilled by the time they got home I had a goofy grin on my face, humming the tunes!
Played Morrowind one summer in highschool. Enjoyed it greatly. Fast forward and my mother was rocking my baby son to sleep and humming music from Morrowind to soothe my baby. She remembered the music from them and liked it.
congratulations on a healthy baby
I don't even care if this story is made-up, it's still super cute 😊
@@theoldman5896 not made up. And thanks
*Your Parenting skill increased to 100*
Fast forward and your baby be like "wheres your uniform?" Lmaooo
morrowind was my first elder scrolls game. the soundtrack is the best of all the games in my opinion. never fails to comfort me and put me to sleep :)
One of the most unique RPG settings ever designed. The music is fantastic and meshes with the game setting perfectly.
In terms of worldbuilding, immersion, and plot development, Morrowind is still the best in the Elder Scrolls series by far. It's not even close.
I don't know why but whenever I hear these songs of Morrowind, whenever I see any scene of Morrowind or Solstheim (with that unique dim and dusky kind of thing), I feel that I'm finally home...this familiar feeling...it just makes me want to cry😭(sigh)
Maybe you should try gardening. No really. It will probably work. Even if gardening doesn't get you what you want, it can always get you the thing that someone else wants, and networking is pretty important.
Stop being a basic bitch and grow a few potatoes.
me too, I hope everyone can get back what they had then
why is everyone such a big fucking baby? ffs
Yeah... and whenever I hear attack music, I irritatingly duck for cover behind my desk, to hide from those damn cliff racers.
I'm 15, me and my brother are huddled around the family computer under blankets in the cold basement with the instruction manual, scribbled notes from game FAQS and snacks. Totally immersed in this game and nothing else exists.
City of lights, City of Magic! This will forever be the great frontier, my best adventure, my Epoc. I have never been so connected to a land of wonder in all of its depths and splendor. Fresh off the press 18 years old and played it feverishly for 10 years. My life has unfolded in an amazing way and I am thankful for all the time I was able to spend decompressing on my oasis island. Truly the best Elder scrolls game of all time. You must give it a visit out lander.
Love this music. Love this game. Love those feelings. I still have my old laptop only to play Morrowind. I have never finished this game and I don't want to finish it. Only walk and have feelings, experiences and build some house to recover me is what I need in this Elder Scrolls World. Thanks to J. Soule for his talent and this channel to share those musics. Thanks a lot from Barcelona, Spain. ❤
Morrowind is also my favorite game of all time and I also have never finished it, and don't need/want to! The memories of exploring this amazing game, and the soundtrack will stay with me forever.
@@xYoungDeezYx Exactly! I feel exactly the same. And the editor is amazing to do your own stuff, houses, islands... Is the best game.
lol, nothing better than becoming a mage and getting powerful. Building up your mushroom tower, experimenting crafting spells, enchanting, and making potions is awesome. Hunting down the souls and ingredients you need, finding artifacts along the way.
There is no "finishing" morrowind friends, no one quest, no even the main one is the end of morrowind. Cause the world continues onward, ever onward
Memory of looking up at the nights sky and hearing Morrowind theme is one of the best gaming experiences I had. And I was playing on 15~ inch CRT monitor. In the era of huge flat oled TV screens it blows my mind that such immersion was possible back then.
It has some same musics like they use in skyrim and oblivion!
The immersion was made possible because it was not reliant on surface-level physicality and technology, but rather the high level of artistry and quality of the actual content of the game in all aspects of consideration. This period of time was ripe for ingenuity and creativity, before we reached the saturation point.
It's possible all the time even now my friend, you just have so many more worries and responsibilities.
@@lemystere5345 We are far from the saturation point, there are lot's of innovate games still coming out. The Witcher series, Dark Souls, Baldures Gate, etc... The difference now from back then is how heavily commercialized it's become, back then games were made for gamers and developers had a vision and hoped it would make a profit. Now a lot of it is just an investment scheme, it's like the difference between starfield and starcitizen. Ones a vision backed by people who want to see it come to fruition, the others a vision backed by investors who want their return. One is willing to take a financially risky gamble the other is the opposite and that's reflected in the game.
Dude shut up king they didn’t have flat screens at this time let along oled either.
I've come back to this every day for 3 days straight lmao. Haven't listened to the Morrowind OST for a while, but oh boy does it bring back a tidal wave of memories for me. Can't stop, won't stop.
Had not heard this music in years and now i cant stop. Takes me back to high school my friends and I had XBOX and played this game and compared playthroughs. Going up ranks in your house and in the guilds felt really good in Morrowind.
I've never played Morrowind, but I do plan to do this in the future. The music is soothing, it even calmed me down and made me fall asleep when I was in physical pain! Love it, thank you for the video🤗
Thanks for watching! I am so glad that you enjoyed it!
Dewit ;) ...No, seriously. It might be hard to get into it because of the old mechanics (depending on your gaming experience so far). But once you've "got inside and made yourself comfortable" it will definitley suck you in with its unique and meaningful world and stories.
Wish I could experience it for the first time again have fun when you get the game!
Wait for Skywind ;)
take into account it's an old game lol
Things bring very vivid memory of the time I played this masterpiece. I remember not only the deep immersion felt from the game but also the place I lived, the friends I had, and how I felt everytime I would get lost in this awesome game. Thank you Jeremy Soul for this masterpiece of OST and thank you to everyone at Bethesda who made this game happened.
I would love to see a remaster of Morrowind, same kind of treatment that Diablo 2 got. It was the first true open world RPG I played, steep learning curve for a 13 year-old, but such a rewarding experience. This music really takes me back.
Should check out Skywind ;)
@@systemoverride2642tbh I think Skywind’s gonna be a bit too different to feel like a remaster; I think it will prolly *feel* like the remake it is. I’m hopeful that at some point a proper remaster gets made where the core gameplay and mechanics are entirely intact with A) animations that make the swings and misses more immersive (kind of most important, due to that simple thing being the whole reason it’s got a bad reputation with people who refuse to try it or tried it only one time) and B) just general touch-ups to bugs, typos, scripting, and graphics that one would expect from a remaster, without necessarily changing the fundamentals of the game or even the engine more than necessary.
I will say, on Skywind, I’m deeply interested in seeing how they integrate both fully voiced NPCs as well as the dialogue screen, because, while some options were often redundant, Morrowind’s dialogue system did have a lot more depth than meets the eye, and it was incredibly rewarding to stumble upon a rare topic or a brand new response to the same topic in a place it might not be expected, or even better when a lore reason for a different response existed but you’d figured the devs were lazy (they were so much less lazy than Skyrim and Oblivion’s devs it’s kinda insane). That said, there no way in hell they haven’t trimmed the fat, which is why I’d prolly want it to still be textbased in such a remaster (or perhaps they could record all or a large subsection of the lines in a few distinct voices in traditional Bethesda fashion and superimpose them onto the already existing textbased system, as an option).
Tl;dr: While I will 100% play and prolly love Skywind, I’d prefer a proper and slightly truer to the original remaster from the infrastructure of an actual studio along with the contributions of devoted fans.
...Gothic is coming soon.
Whenever I hear this music, it's xmas 2002 again. Snow outside, XBox inside..... and mom was still healthy and alive. Strange things to remember because of a game.
I'm sorry for your loss :(
Прими мои соболезнования.
I just started playing Morrowind after being a die-hard Skyrim fan for years, and it is amazing. It shows its age, but its so charming, and it's always so awesome to see the same lore, characters and world I discovered in Skyrim being so faithfully and vividly realised nearly a decade prior.
Be sure to Play with OpenMW!!
@@Sheorath and be sure to MOD it!!! OpenMW modded looks very good, there are excellent guides linked with OpenMW resources.
Just spent a lot of time and fun doing it!
@@CaiusCosadesRoma thank you! I came back to this comment after beating the game a few days ago. Safe to say I loved it, I just installed a bunch of mods (as per Bethesda tradition) and have already begun my 2nd playthrough.
@@ivanvonmayer1 How is the adventure going my friend
@@ivanvonmayer1Props for going mostly if not entirely unmodded the first run! There are a substantial number of people who can’t do it. My experiments before my first full run were vanilla, but my first run literally took place over a year irl (and in game too, weirdly) and I did need MGE and the MCP to keep my overstimulated modern senses pleased. Second run, modded almost beyond the pale, but I’ve since returned to a largely vanilla experience (albeit with Tamriel Rebuilt, which I’d consider a must play for anyone who loves Morrowind) and have even considered going through a full run 100% vanilla now that I’m so in love with the game that the enhanced visuals of MGE are irrelevant. All down to personal preference, and I hope you find your perfect balance and continue to get boundless wonder and joy from this borderline masterpiece.
One of the best games ever. Played at probably not even 20fps in a Riva TnT2 M64 and was more than happy. Good times.
Not only was this the game that got me thru college, giving me that necessary mental break but in a way I knew there was no rush, so I could put it down when needed, but it also showed me the world.of modding, I think I have played WITH this game as much as I have played it, I can no longer play vanilla, I don't mod the gameplay at all besides the fixes out there, but holy bitter coast batman can it be made absolutely beautiful even by today's standards. This soundtrack is one of my favorites of all time. Thank you for this track. I'm sure I will play it quite a bit.
After all of the RPG-style games that have come out since i've played this game as a kid, all of the Fallout, Elder Scrolls, ESO, Mass Effect series, Assassin's Creed, Elden Ring (souls games), now Starfield (which is phenomenal), and so many others, Morrowind is the one I seem to always come back to for another playthrough. Simple but elegant, once you get over the spell training hurdle, like by casting waterwalking a million times while traveling, and spending all of your arrows to gain a single skill point.
I agree with you on this one. It's my favorite RPG for sure.
Same to me. There is something special in this game. Gothic is the same story , love them both.
Brings me back memories of being chased right back to the first town by a maggoty looking thing after thinking I was all hard with my big stick. Loved this game.
Love how those opening notes come in and all the memories come rushing back of how many times my game crashed. Oh, and happy memories too. 😂
When the moods right A tear can creep down your face from the nostalgic feeling of being young can even temporarily transport you to another time
I find it puzzling that it took this long for someone to release extended versions of the music, but i’m all for it, I love this. What better way to immerse than the music stretching out when you got lost in the game as a kid, you wander so long that the music seems to stretch out forever, the most relaxing melody that I fell asleep to many times.
I've listened to this so many times.... it is up there with the best fantasy / sci-fi music. Awesome level = Vangelis rated
What a fucking amazing game, brings a manly tear to my eye listening to this.
I started with Skyrim which is indeed grand, Oblivion I say was grand as I tried it next, though I experience more bugs and crashes than expected which made dull most of the main story for me. (Will give a proper second try some day!)
Now Morrowind! Oh yes, there were crashes, times I fell through the floor, but… man… This has to be the best game ever! Defeating Dagoth Ur which was a horrifying bossfight… left me feeling complete after 77 hours! Usually a game leaves me wanting more, and that’s a good thing… but I never imagined another level! Contentment! What is even greater is that there’s two dlc I have yet to touch! 😂
try tamriel rebuilt
i was so upset because you couldnt hit the heart 5 times and become an evil deity yourself :(
Still makes me nostalgia trip. I spent so much time on that volcanic island.
If there’s one thing that Bethesda and Elder Scrolls gets right, it’s the music. It always has a nostalgic effect on me.
I spent years in that world ) Incredible!
Oh how simple life was back then. Nostalgia is so important to my happiness and this hits so hard
Hey I was born in 2002 !
What a blessing to hear this now at age 21 on Friday July 5th, 2024 3:40 pm at office
Эхххх жаль помню времена морровинд останется навсегда в наших сердцах и его музыка я очень любил путешествовать по миру морровинда тзе элдор скролс лучшие особенно начало ❤❤❤😢😢😢😢❤❤❤❤
This game was my first RPG. I played Madden and other sports games until 2002 when a friend let me borrow his XBox. Morrowind is still my favorite Elder Scrolls game, and I can't play it because I have a Mac and a PS5. Thank you for this video!
If you have an ARM Mac openMW natively supports it. Its not necessarly as simple as playing on windows, but it should be possible on any Mac.
@@gazzmilsom wuuut? Oh I'm trying that when I get home. Thank you!
Не воспринимаю ни Морровинд ни Обливион на движке Скайрима. Каждая игра прекрасна по-своему, у каждой должна быть своя эстетика и своя атмосфера ☝
everything from the weather effects to the freedom to make spells or enchant weapons kill off npc the absolutely massive scale of this game.. Bloody Master piece theaters presents MORROWIND. Hopfully ES6 is a return to form..
Will this really be the final playlist we all are looking for?
😂Hoping to have a video out soon that has scenes directly from the original morrowind, so that may take the cake!
The game where it all began on 3D RPG Immersion, really want to return playing it like i once did.
Music for the hours of modding ahead. Thank you kindly.
I knew it man - I was sitting here listening to the music and couldn't shake the feeling of being in the Hidden Beks hideout in KOTOR and what do ya know - both composed by Jeremy Soule
while graphically inferior to modern standards, this game is probably one of my most fondest, it was both my first rpg and my first elder scroll, and i still think it was one of the better ones overall.
the money i would give to see all of the series come back with a modern overhall.
the music sooths me and takes me back to a simpler childhood of mine.
Thank you for the playlist. The music is soothing💙
Morrowind is Bethesda's best RPG.
And probably it's buggiest 😂
@@Cinemaphile7783 Lol, it's not so buggy, man. Skyrim on launch has several more bugs. Morrowind is from a time where your game must be launched without bugs. Today everyone have internet access, so it's easy to launch new patches, but not in 2002/2003.
@@Cinemaphile7783 They're not bugs, they're features.

Make it quick, outlander...

Solstheim looks beautiful.
Jeremy up cycled this great music for Skyrim. Love both versions.
It reminds me at the time i was 14 and playing the game with my classmates.
"Stand up... there you go. You were dreaming. What's your name?"
best OST to any Elder Scrolls, even though I enjoy listening to Skyrim's
Best soundtrack ever !
love this. First song is the best though.
I will listen outlander, but make it quick
God damn it... brings back some many memories.
Man that 5:00 mark gave me an anxiety spike. Where's the cliff racer at? Is it in the room with me?
peaceful music: includes the battle music.
Not sure if elder scrolls 3 and it's sound trak was the best or if it's just nostalgia. Either way it holds a special place in my memory that later elder scrolls games haven't quite reached.
Привет, Джиуб, это снова я...)
Who here has used Windwalker scroll, or better, advanced Levitate, to fly and fly and fly? One of a kind game.
From the opening theme I'm immediately reminded of Jupiter by Holst ❤
🔥🔥🔥
Wait, is the double drum at the start the beating heart of lorkhan?! How did i miss that before?
The best thing about this is when u visit solstheim in skyrim only to hear it again...
12:17 "What's going on everybody and welcome back to Fudgemuppet!"
Thanks for the investment and 100 years spent
Damn, where did the time go.
this video physically jerked my soul. Immediate flashbacks of living in that world as a 13 year old boy. I could cry actually. It was a somewhat painful nostalgia that i felt, times that are long gone.
Ooof hit me right in the feels with that one. 🤔😅
Wonderful.
Morrowind is the best

the great Morrowind, elder scrolls went all downhill from there sadly :(

Isn't the song at 1:03:20 the battle music from KOTOR? I don't remember it in Elder Scrolls and it doesn't fit the theme of all other tracks.
No its morrowind.

Shows Skyrim
Hey! The soundtrack is from Morrowind but Skyrim is a much more ambient game so I chose solstheim which is in both games. The description of the video explains that as well!
How tf does this have dislikes?
Audio upload quality is poor.
How can you see the dislikes???? All the videos I see don’t have any dislikes…
image is from skyrim :D
Unfortunately Morrowind doesn't offer full screen gameplay, and Skyrim is more ambient so we went with the middle ground:)
@@lostmusicco What about with Morrowind Graphics Extender XE (for Steam/GOG GOTY edition) or OpenMW.
I will look into those Peryite, we may have to do more Morrowind videos! Thanks for the help!
