"May your roads lead to warm sands." "Perhaps the reference to warm sands relates to the southern parts of Elseweyr (the province most Khajiit inhabit), which consists of badlands and dry, arid stretches. It's a nice reference to their homelands, a wish that the traveler themselves will eventually find their way home as well."
I sometimes think that Skyrim is partially popular because some corners and areas remind us and give us the feeling of going hiking or taking a walk through our native forests. I am not gonna lie but I have parts near to my home here in Germany in the local forest that look like some corners in Skyrim.
it's amazing isn't it? People can tear apart every aspect of this game from a critical point of view, and often make excellent points about the game's flaws and weaknesses, but despite all of it, it still has the power to completely transport players into its world. Whatever the flaws, there is magic in this game like so few others

This game will always remind me of the holidays - 11/11/11. Thanksgiving and Christmas all bundled up exploring every nook and cranny of this evocative world. Miss those days.
Be well anyone who reads this, thanks to the creator of the video we are all here to just listen and know there are others who appreciate it to. One of the few positive places to be
You have no idea how much I appreciate no ads on this. particularly now that adblockers directly break access to the youtube video player... An unhalted ambience is worth so, so much to me these days.
I dont know if you discovered by now, this problem seems to come and go. Maybe it's the web devs fighting back and forth. Sometimes for many days mine works perfectly fine.
The sound design in this game works so well, it's realistic and soft. No obnoxious ambient sounds, perfect spacialisation of sounds, noises, and echoes. I'm not saying it's better than a more fantastic, unrealistic approach of sound design; In the end, the most important thing is artistic coherence, no matter how unnatural, and skyrim absolutely got it right.
Takes me back to a simpler time when I could just dive into the world. Lots of life's hardships on the horizon but wanted to take a beat and listen to something to soothe my soul before I head into this new journey. Happy Hunting everyone
One of my favourite things about these videos is that so many people comment about how this music makes their day and brings them peace and everyone is being so nice to each other. This brings me so much hope. The world is still full of kindness and love even in the tough and uncertain times like today.
skyrim is 12 years old now. hearing the music of it makes me feel nostalgic, that's insane to me. especially since i still play it once in awhile even today!
In 2011, you just got back from school, everybody was talking about this new game called Skyrim so you called a friend who had already bought it. You went over and played for hours. You were instantly hooked. Even a decade later, the game still brings you joy.
I never played but I’ve been sitting here for a while. Going through a bad break up and I was basically used and spit out once she replaced me. I’ve had my eyes close for a while just imagining walking through the world to this. It’s really been helping me let out the pain I’ve had bottled up. Thank you. Be safe everyone
Jeremy Soule has created a masterpiece with the soundtracks for Skyrim. Thanks for this video. The sounds of rain and thunderstorms go perfectly with it. 👍
I put this on when walking or hiking alone. My first character playthrouth I was Nord fully strength based, heavy armor and two handed swords. She was unstoppable. Finding the ebony and then daedric armors for her was such a thrill. Time goes on, but my dear Fellion endures. I love going into that headspace and pretending while walking in the mountains. Beautiful.
The hability that has skyrim and it's music for relaxing me and to relieve my stress is something that even now, many years ago amazes me. This was a game I started at 2012. When I played first it was going to be a normal, another game. Like many others. But I always come back. It has been my safe heaven. It was my safe place when things were wrong. Whoever who says that videogames aren't art, I challenge them to listen to this and play, just play the game.
I cannot believe that I let this game sit in my Steam library for over a year before starting is earlier this year (2023), I'm also sad that I didn't play this game a lot earlier - 200 hours in and I still haven't completed my first playthrough
You never will - I've put in over 2000hrs in vanilla mode and have only finished the main quest once....and that was only after I had put in about 1000hrs of doing other side quests first
I don't speak Korean but I watching your video for sleeping. The Environments as that don't exist on my island and so it my make dreaming,Thanks for video my friend 🤗🏝
I cannot express how much I (did not know I) needed that. Perfect background soundtrack for work. Thunderstorm are always so soothing, and this soundtrack is one of my actual favorite ("discovered" that game only in 2023... late to the party, I know!).
Whenever it actually gets here... Still have fingers crossed for something sooner than later. I think they have had enough time to get ES VII right...Don't you all? At least we can listen to Skyrim and Oblivion soundtracks, thanks to Jeremy solues brillance and folks like lost music Co., who set it up for glorious extented plays.
Thanks for these! The sound and video are such great quality on your channel. If you have a list of ideas for future videos, please consider adding an Oblivion rain mix to it! Thanks again
I often find myself listening to this mix of yours. Mostly to calm down, after a stressfull day, or to chillax on a long and sleepless night. Often I light some candles while listening to that mix. Really does some magic, to get at least some relief, in these fast and stressfull times. Thank you sir or madame!
You couldve gotten 3 skills in that time. Please respect your life and that it is finite. I lost a lot of years to jerking myself around and lost a lot of opportunities that way
Skyrim made you feel connected to a world in a way in which no video game ever had. It brought open world to the mainstream. Games could be so much more now
So Oblivion wasn't mainstream? FO3 wasn't mainstream? Come on... I'm guessing this was the first non pew pew shooty game you played seriously cos' other games connected you to their worlds pretty well prior to this.

This used to be the best Skyrim ambience video on UA-cam because there were no ads mid video or at the end of it and so falling asleep listening to it was the best. Now you’ll be almost asleep and then an extremely loud Ad will start blaring in your ears and you’ll be wide awake and the whole ambience is ruined ☹️ time to find a new sleepy time video

Same with the late western industrial revolution aesthetic of RDR2.
