(things bout to get emotional! lol) Listening to this revived my childhood, brought back so many amazing memories it made me so emotional tears filled my eyes. No one will ever be able to top the beauty of oblivion, how fresh its nostalgia will always be. How it changed the world of gaming forever. Not many people thought of Oblivion this way, but in my opinion oblivion beats Skyrim big time. When I listen to this music, it brings back those first moments when I remember escaping the prison in my first ever play through. It was like a whole other world had been open to me, and boy was it beautiful. Oblivion's graphics were alien for its time, and it became like a second reality we could elope to. No game has ever made me feel this way, this incredible bond and love I have for it. I don't know how many of you are religious, but I had a dream, that everyone has a personal hell or heaven to which they will reside in after death. My personal heaven had began with myself waking up in a field with the greenest grass I've ever seen, and waters a pristine turquoise in color. I could hear this enchanting music within the winds breeze, and live the rest of my eternity relieving the vastness and beauty of the world I created within my conscience inspired by this world. Funny. When I first popped this disc in to my Xbox 360, never once did I think it would change my minds creative ability so drastically.
I have played Witcher 3, Dark souls trilogy, Baldur's Gate 3. Love everything about these games, especially the music. But none of them ever comes close to the perfection that Jeremy Soules brought to the Elder Scrolls
Also works for how to NOT sleep (I've pulled one all-nighter and a good many hours into the night and morning listening to this and writing a story.. it enhances the otherworldly feeling of being up late at night, lost in writing).
Soule's music is transcendent and soul-achingly beautiful. I think the reason why so many like it is that it puts us in touch with something far larger than ourselves.
I have like 700+ hours in Skyrim, and I reckon that without this type of musical addition to it, it would be just an empty shell. This provides the whole atmosphere of the game, this makes it more magical, and just mesmerizing.
God, I wish I could go back to 7th grade playing thru oblivion for the first time. Never played or even knew what and RPG was at the time… so many memories
This songs build a image on my brain... I see the green forests of falkreath, the tundra of witerun and the endless snow of Dawstar. If skyrim was a book, it certainly be a classical one.
Hands down the best game music composer currently alive. Unluckily game music is still not as appreciated as film music, but don't worry Jeremy, we gonna fix that.
@@Grandmaster_Dragonborn nothing is confirmed but even if he hasn't done anything the bad publicity alone is enough to take someone else. Besides Bethesda already has a working relationship with inon zur, who has done music for fallout and recently elder scrolls blades. I think he even did the teaser trailer music for ES6 (but I might be mistaken).
this music is what heaven must sound like. the streets of whiterun, from past to present, Auriel's Ascension, Minstrel's Lament, All's well and peaceful waters have to be my all time favourite elder scrolls musical pieces. Thank you Mr Soule and thanks to Andrew for putting this up.
Perhaps the most underrated musician in the world, in my opinion. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Fantastic job editing all these together. Great job.
I remember hearing The Streets of Whiterun for the first time sat in my room at university about a week before the game came out. I got shivers then and sometimes it still takes me back to that time before I ever played this game. What wonderful music.
For me - as a human and a composer, he is one of the best composers of our time. The feel, the atmo - the thinking big, long - and delicate. I really hope he will continue with his great work. Jeremy Soule - you ROCK!!
If i could take 1 game on an island, it would be oblivion or skyrim... i could live and die happily with one of these games. Jeremy, you are an actual god.
I get a feeling of nostalgia when I listen to these songs, it makes me feel all fuzzy inside. It truly is wonderful and I only wish I could be in the land of Tamriel once again. :D
+CookieDaNookie How about PC? For Morrowind and Oblivion you won't need a high spec PC at all. You'd still probably be able to run Skyrim at a level which looks better than the 360, anyway. Just a thought - they're on sale on Steam fairly often.
+CookieDaNookie Something about laying on the couch with the old 360 and the TV and just getting lost in Oblivion for, like, 36 hours :D I can actually picture all the towns, shops and people when I listen to these.
What I want to ask is how did we go from Skyrim to a piece of s*** like fortnite that's so overrated it's so plagiarizing and overused it's what I don't understand is why it has no Beauty it has no Essence no soul to it. It may be fun but it's not like Skyrim. Not one bit. it doesn't need to be similar it just to me needs to have the feeling as if it's a live. it has a soul it means something to you games like Skyrim have opened me up to ideas that would never have been thought of before Skyrim and games like it have enlightened me in life and it makes me happy now when I look at these games like fortnite I feel bored and annoyed I miss my beautiful games I feel sad that I've already completed everything in Skyrim. that there wasn't more to it but there is. this is why i keep playing the game not for the content but for another life. when you think of Skyrim as being another world that you could live in if you think of all the people as being alive everything just changes for you the game is a undying piece of art for you at that point the Thunder and the birds the rain it all gets so realistic that you can feel it on your skin but you know you're not there. the cold breeze of Skyrim rushes bye will purchasing goods from merchants you feel it on your skin while you're sitting in your game chair in the middle of spring. you hear the birds chirping it almost sounds like they're real it's beautiful. but you're sitting in the game chair in the city you were born into. you're talking to someone at a bar they tell you about some stories you give them gold because they're homeless you think it's important because you have sympathy for them. you look at yourself and say am I the homeless one I feel like I've been wondering is this my home or am I not seeing the picture is this my home or is my life my home I'm getting mixed up there both equally as important and alive. You look again at the game and you see that man... lying on the ground dieing...all because you didn't pay attention to your surroundings.... all of a sudden you realize there's tears running down your face you ponder about the idea that maybe this game is real maybe this game has a soul maybe this game is truly one with the Gods maybe this game and this game only is the one work of art that will never be bested my friends and my phos I will tell you this game is not just a game it's not just a dream what it is is a glimpse into the one single moment in history that we created a world with a soul we will never be able to do such things again but don't worry appreciate that world keep that game keep that world keep saving that world never stop trusting in the love. for that is a great journey to bestow yourself upon if you find yourself feeling like this. do not worry for it is a sign that you're something more and that there is something more to the picture and you are coming so close to familiarizing it.
from spain, thanks andrew , fantastic pecefull epic music ,every nights listening me and my litle son 4 years old , and telling him ... once upon a time in a land called skyrim....... really thanks
I always thought Jeremy Soule had a fitting name as he really does put the life and *soul* into the Elder Scrolls series in my opinion. Morrowind, Skyrim and Arcanum, three of my favourite games and RPGs of all time, all 3 of them with stunning music, 2 by Jeremy himself. It's funny how the music in games is something we don't really think about so much until years later when we hear a recognisable theme song again and get that shiver of nostalgia at the memories. Beautiful stuff.
@@user-yo9xs8tl5o I loved Oblivion too but I find myself overall preferring the other two, and Arcanum was the #1 spot, so Oblivion doesn't make my top three, though it'd be a close runner up for sure.
This is a great compilation, thank you! My son introduced me to the music of Jeremy Soule and have been enjoying your listing ever since. I knew there was something good about video games!
+Andrew Gulledge The music brings those stories to life. The biggest, deepest games have epic sound tracks like these - Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Witcher, Divinity, etc. etc. Love all the ES music.
It’s amazing to know all this music, all these wonderful peaces of art, came from the mind of 1 person. Not only does it show how talented Jeremy Soule is, it’s also a testament as to what we as humans are capable of, if he can create these wonderful art pieces, why can’t we? Jeremy you’re a legend forever. 🎶
Why can't we? Because we are not all legends--Jeremy is. (Though I do agree that with God, all things are possible.) When a mutual friend of Jeremy and I was still alive--he was Jeremy's friend, but my friend, too--he told me that Jeremy would rise to the highest ranks as a composer, and we had been thinking about legendary composers of that day, as John Williams, for instance, among other greats. He a profound appreciation for the talent of Jeremy Soule, an opinion that registered deeply in me because Jerry was a respected name out there, with 50 years in the business, working with giants, arranging and vocalizing their acts, as well as performing and booking performances at legendary places.
Had I one possession to be granted prior the eternal wandering of my soul, it would be this. For eternity evermore would be christened by the melody that brings solace to my trouble spirit henceforth to pervade through my being; a wonderment of joy and an ode of serenity, I would never know the loneliness of eternal solitude. For this would accomplice me in its embrace of pure imagination, a wondrous inspiration, i would never go then without ease to the world in which I inhabit. There and now. Blessed be he, the forger of this divine gift, Jeremy Soule.
When I hear his music, I feel indestructible. I feel vulnerable. I feel sadness. I feel joy. I feel inspiration. I feel a great and awesome force guiding me through that infinite universe which is my mind....and allowing me believe, if only for awhile, that anything I dream is indeed possible.
Morrowind, Oblivion and Dungeon Siege has to be top work of art he did! true masterpiece! one of a kind. Words can't describe how good these soundtracks truly are!
Coming from someone whose first RPG love was Dungeon Siege, that game was carried by Soule. Fortress Kroth's music did not have to be so awesome, let alone the rest of it.
Sometimes i wonder if this man Had any idea how many a heart he touched with his musik. Of all the Adventures that happened when his musik played ,of all these wonderfull memories being made...
I just love how his music makes you FEEL. It's not telling you what to feel, but in whatever mood you are, whatever you are feeling, it's just like HOW ABOUT WE AMPLIFY THAT BY 1000000000000000 thank me later
@VeniVidiVandaliAuz Yeah, he and Johnny Depp can cry in their mansions... Meanwhile those feminazis are quietly destroying thousands of poor men's lives and families, men who can't fight back, no matter how strong they are, since their enemy is lies. How do you fight a lie? Toxic Femininity... The new enemy of good men and decent women.
I can't believe that we'll never hear any more music from one of the greatest composers of our time. Cancelling Jeremy Soule is like cancelling sunlight.
I have never played a modern video game in my life. But my kids sure do. I grew up in the early 80s with Pac Man, Asteroids, Frogger, and having to beg my brother to play his Atari with the cartridges. But I love music and I was introduced to Jeremy Soule a few years back via a friend. Soule's music is my deep thoughts music. My meditation music. My background music when I do housework. My at peace music. His music is just wonderfully enjoyable. I love all kinds of music, but he is one my top, go-to composers. Thank you for putting this together. I'm sure it's giving lots of people great enjoyment as it does me.
+Philo Jewett Oh man love that but the city gates is my all time favorite! I just imagine frolicking through the forest or some shit when I hear it :D nostalgia !!!!!
xpinkloverx21 haha definitely. I get memories of my vampire thief/assassin/alchemist roaming through the hills by moonlight picking herbs and finding dungeons. It was sooooo fun!!
I could never have imagined how impactful and memorable these games would be when I popped them into my game console. For years I had played whatever games on PS2, until I was around 11 and I got an Xbox 360 and one of the first games I got was oblivion. My mind was blown at how vast, deep, and complicated the game was. It changed my perspective on games forever. I couldn't believe what I had been missing out on. This was all because a kid that I rode the bus with invited me to his house once and his brother was playing Oblivion. I was dumbfounded by what I was seeing, I just HAD to play it!
He stole me away back in 2002 when he did the themes for Dungeon Siege and Dungeon Siege II, I can play the theme song on the Piano and whistle it by heart. The man is amazing, and so is his music. Who wouldn't want a 3 hour dose of this?
Streets of Whiterun alone made me burst to tears. Felt like 16 years of my life just spanned into 3 hours of this wonderful compilation. It even felt like I've lived 2 lifetimes of Oblivion and Skyrim. Thank you uploader person. I hope even after 7 years, you're doing well, if not already.
I am 16 years old, when Skyrim came out in 2011 I was only 7 at the time. I pre-ordered it for the Xbox 360 and my little 7 year old mind was blown away. I loved the fantasy world Bethesda built, the open world, the quests, the characters, but one thing stood in my mind even until this day, and that was the music. Jeremy, without a doubt, is the best composer I have ever heard, he can perfectly use the tools he is given and relay the message of vastness, epicness, any emotion i have sought to achieve with my journey through Skyrim. I would like to thank Jeremy for being such an inspiration in my life and allowing me to envision a world where I could do anything my 7 year old mind loved to do. I will be buying the special edition at some point and reliving the glory days of this game, mainly because I want to listen to this music again!
Every once in a while I come to this playlist as a safe harbor, it suits perfect any moment, from happy to sad, it is just pure refreshment for the spirit
If the new Elder Scrolls does not have this level of music, I will MUTE the music in that game, and just replay this video OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!

Funny. When I first popped this disc in to my Xbox 360, never once did I think it would change my minds creative ability so drastically.
deep in the feels
I have played Witcher 3, Dark souls trilogy, Baldur's Gate 3. Love everything about these games, especially the music.
But none of them ever comes close to the perfection that Jeremy Soules brought to the Elder Scrolls
How to Sleep (the proper way):
Step 1 - equip headphones
Step 2 - play video
Step 3 - close eyes
Benjamin Bre avoid step 1 and put it out loud, it could be messy sleeping with the cables around you =)
***** yes sure, that will be the best :)
Also works for how to NOT sleep (I've pulled one all-nighter and a good many hours into the night and morning listening to this and writing a story.. it enhances the otherworldly feeling of being up late at night, lost in writing).
Step 4 - wake up
Step 5 - you are in a horse cartridge
Step 6 - *Hey you are finally awake*
and then i often just cry cause of its beauty i cant fkng stand... Jeremy is a GENIUS.
Soule's music is transcendent and soul-achingly beautiful. I think the reason why so many like it is that it puts us in touch with something far larger than ourselves.
There is some strange longing in Soule's music to places you've never been, people you have never met, things you haven't experienced.
This is the meaning of masterpiece
His Morrowind music is just perfection.
It's timeless.
I have like 700+ hours in Skyrim, and I reckon that without this type of musical addition to it, it would be just an empty shell. This provides the whole atmosphere of the game, this makes it more magical, and just mesmerizing.
Glory of Cyrodil 2:26:03 makes me cry everytime
I get the misty eyes too on that :D
the first song is just.......no words, so peaceful.
Agree! That's why I put it first. :)
I would love to see a live performance of this whole suite
11.11.2021 ! Live 😌
This is my study music! Always makes me concentrate and think better.
Makes me feel like one of the nine divines while figuring out a math problem :)
lmaoo
lol
God, I wish I could go back to 7th grade playing thru oblivion for the first time. Never played or even knew what and RPG was at the time… so many memories
what an absolute privilege it is to listen to this man. I grew up with oblivion and skyrim and these songs open up the doors to heaven
i feel the same, 100%
This songs build a image on my brain... I see the green forests of falkreath, the tundra of witerun and the endless snow of Dawstar.
If skyrim was a book, it certainly be a classical one.
I hope Jeremy Soule has read the comments on this video recently.
Hands down the best game music composer currently alive. Unluckily game music is still not as appreciated as film music, but don't worry Jeremy, we gonna fix that.
I know, weird huh?
An elder scrolls game would not be complete without Jeremy Soule
agree!
He won't be making the music for elder scrolls VI I'm afraid :(
@@theninkyn0nk463 It hasn't been confirmed, we'll see, plus there isn't much reason they wouldn't bring him back.
@@theninkyn0nk463 Bad publicity? What bad publicity?
Soule is probably creating a masterpiece right now for the next elder scrolls game...
This begins with the most beautiful piece of music I've ever heard.
this music is what heaven must sound like. the streets of whiterun, from past to present, Auriel's Ascension, Minstrel's Lament, All's well and peaceful waters have to be my all time favourite elder scrolls musical pieces. Thank you Mr Soule and thanks to Andrew for putting this up.
Perhaps the most underrated musician in the world, in my opinion. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Fantastic job editing all these together. Great job.
Gets better every time
Just wish I could hear "under an ancient Sun" on repeat. Beautiful harmony
i hear ya! definitely one of my favorites
+Andrew Gulledge I love the harmony. It is so clean sounding, really good for focusing as well :)
I remember hearing The Streets of Whiterun for the first time sat in my room at university about a week before the game came out. I got shivers then and sometimes it still takes me back to that time before I ever played this game. What wonderful music.
For me - as a human and a composer, he is one of the best composers of our time. The feel, the atmo -
the thinking big, long - and delicate.
+CookieDaNookie Well, why don't you play the series again? :D
Mihai Mike Because I don't have my xbox 360 anymore.
+CookieDaNookie How about PC? For Morrowind and Oblivion you won't need a high spec PC at all. You'd still probably be able to run Skyrim at a level which looks better than the 360, anyway. Just a thought - they're on sale on Steam fairly often.
Coldheart9009 Nah
+CookieDaNookie Something about laying on the couch with the old 360 and the TV and just getting lost in Oblivion for, like, 36 hours :D I can actually picture all the towns, shops and people when I listen to these.
I will never forget exploring Skyrim for first time. Thank you Jeremy Soule for such amazing piece of work!
I truly believe that when I die, I will hear his music playing wherever it is that we go to.
Dude, the nostalgia from the Oblivion tracks. I think Oblivion is his best work ever
It's hard to pick a favorite! But I love those oblivion tracks
I love Jeremy Soule's work. It speaks to my heart and reflects upon my passion.
this man , deserves a place in haven, i would give him my place
+Marco Vaz That's one of the most original compliments I've ever seen.
+Marco Vaz Horrible username passing trough.
thank you

@@LunaJoy96 LOL he ain't no rapist, no proof whatsoever.
Thanks man this is the shit for homework. So damn relaxing! I'll be Fus-Ro-Done in no time ha
i lol'ed
Riley Dunn that was horrible and perfect at the same time.
Fus-Ro-Dad joke :o
you made me chuckle on a terivle pun, well done
from spain, thanks andrew , fantastic pecefull epic music ,every nights listening me and my litle son 4 years old , and telling him ... once upon a time in a land called skyrim.......
really thanks
me alegro! saludos a tu hijo
Oblivion has the most nostalgic to me. Played Oblivion when I was around 7.
Dragonborn oblivion music so good
How you gonna leave out oblivion?
@@user-yo9xs8tl5o I loved Oblivion too but I find myself overall preferring the other two, and Arcanum was the #1 spot, so Oblivion doesn't make my top three, though it'd be a close runner up for sure.
My baby takes his nap soundly with this music 💕 thank you
me too! :)
The same here
That's how you raise a kid. Subliminally prepare him for Elder Scrolls 7
This is a great compilation, thank you! My son introduced me to the music of Jeremy Soule and have been enjoying your listing ever since. I knew there was something good about video games!
+Rexsojo great video games nowadays are, if nothing else, great storytelling. Thanks for your comment! i love this music too :)
+Andrew Gulledge The music brings those stories to life. The biggest, deepest games have epic sound tracks like these - Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Witcher, Divinity, etc. etc. Love all the ES music.
+Rexsojo Games have plenty of good features, they've become a form of art :)
+Rexsojo Assassin's Creed series (especially AC2) also has great music. Ezio's Family is a great song.
+Ninja Flips Please tell me by Fallout you do not mean 3 and 4 or tactics
This feeling of nostalgia, feeling you are getting back to home even if it's a virtual place....only Soule can make you feel this
he definitely has a gift. i feel the same way. :D
CaptainRonRico why isn't this a top comment? Indeed, this music grabs the essence of existence until all is tranquil
This comment deserves an Oscar! :D I reread it five times
Soule also made musics for the first Harry Potter game on PC, I played it a month ago just for the nostalgia and recognize his touch right away !
This is legitimately helping me do homework...
This is the greatest gift which can be given to a human being. Thank you Mr Soule and thank you Andrew.
Bethesta really picked great musicians, mick gordon and jeremy soule. So much love man🔥❤
I have nothing left to say. I want this music to be played in heaven
Masser 34:45 OMG, sounds like arriving at the gates of Heaven.... :'0
Oblivion soundtrack! I'm crying. Soule is a genius.
Почему это так офигенно? Наверное, есть в нашей душе что-то великое и древнее, к чему обращается эта музыка.
I just love how his music makes you FEEL. It's not telling you what to feel, but in whatever mood you are, whatever you are feeling, it's just like HOW ABOUT WE AMPLIFY THAT BY 1000000000000000 thank me later
I must remember this man, and what he did, for it is great what he achieved. May Kynareth, Dibella and the divines bless this soul.
Unfortunately he got falsely accused by a feminist so Bethesda dropped him from TES6.
One of the amazing music composers like Nobuo Uematsu..
He's got Soule. Pure love since Morrowind.
@L1qu1d S1lenc3r It's early painting by Vincent Van Gogh, google his name and skeleton to find it.
17:22 is pure gold
SoniiK Looking for good prices in Riften
my heart rate genuinely increases when i listen to this
I really hope he scores TES6. Wouldn't feel right without his amazing music.
He won't be.
Will most definitely Inon Zur
He's a victim of metoo. He won't be coming back.
He's been fired due to allegations of sexual harassment.

@@AngieAJ Yeah, I know. It sucks.
If I had chance to like every single video on earth containing skyrim music, I would totally like them all.

but didn't make the homework
lmao u inspired me to carry on with my homework XD
HOW'D YOU FUCKIN' KNOW?????
Busted!!!
Thanks for sharing that! I totally agree!
that first soundtrack hits me right in the feels T_T
+Nerds United The Streets of Whiterun, one of my favorites. From Past to Present is my ultimate favorite.
+Philo Jewett Oh man love that but the city gates is my all time favorite! I just imagine frolicking through the forest or some shit when I hear it :D nostalgia !!!!!
xpinkloverx21
haha definitely. I get memories of my vampire thief/assassin/alchemist roaming through the hills by moonlight picking herbs and finding dungeons. It was sooooo fun!!
+Philo Jewett from past to present absolutely
Ah the good ole days :)
2:02:44 Wind Guide You... I almost exploded. This song is so perfect... Thanks for this video, never get bored of Jeremy Soule !
The ShazMan Expanded compilation here! ua-cam.com/video/7vFJ7IsDN0U/v-deo.html
Andrew Gulledge Thank you kind sir!
By far my most favorite musician, no singer can top this magic.
I will be buying the special edition at some point and reliving the glory days of this game, mainly because I want to listen to this music again!
it really is magical! i've played and re-played skyrim so many times over the years.
Every once in a while I come to this playlist as a safe harbor, it suits perfect any moment, from happy to sad, it is just pure refreshment for the spirit
Spiegel im spiegel
If the new Elder Scrolls does not have this level of music, I will MUTE the music in that game, and just replay this video OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN!
