Agree totally. There’s so much wistful melancholy here that sits beautifully with the feeling of doom hanging over the island, from the ash of the Red Mountain to the scourge of Miraak. But at the same time it’s undeniably beautiful in a minimalistic way, just like Solstheim
Soundtrack #9 , #11 (in Solstheim) , city gates , streets of whiterun , from past to present , far horizons , wind guide you(skyrim) harvest dawn (Oblivion) are one of the best soundtracks of all time in a video game. However Oblivion's Wings of Kynareth takes the spot of the best of all time.
All the soundtracks from Morrowind - Over the next hill 4:29 - The road most traveled 7:34 - Peaceful waters 17:55 - Shed your travails 21:01 - Blessing of Vivec 29:52 - Silt sunrise 33:08 - Caprice 39:56

Skyrim is much more than a game. This is an amazing world, an amazing universe. I started playing skyrim when I was 10 years old. At that moment, as he just went on sale. Damn it, this game amazed me to the core. Then I was a boy, but I remember as now all those unique emotions. Now I am 18 and I still return to this world. This music, these sounds of nature, this huge and mesmerizing lore. Guilds, cities, quests, how cool is that. This game means a lot to me. She was always with me during the shitty moments of my life. How damn it I love her) P. S. Skyrim is my home and a place where I can always return and be happy
Whenever i get from point A to point wherever the hell, i put this music on and imagine im in Solstheim. A magical theme and wondrous for exploring. I cant thank Mr. Howard enough for creating this amazing game. Its more than a game. For all those other restless souls who yearn for adventure, this game and music is for you.🙏🤠😃 Keep exploring everyone. Never stop
Моё первое впечатление, когда я приплыл в Солстхейм. Это было шикарно и добротно. Зная, какие опасности меня там ждут дальше, знал и шёл дальше. Навстречу приключениям!
This Game is a masterpiece at all. It gives you pure emotion and a Connection to this world wich is created in a Computer but feels like real past you ve lived in... This is hard to replace and will never be forgotten. Thank you Bethesda ❤
Going to Solsteim in Skyrim for the first time was such an experience. The music brings such great nostalgia for me. Dragonborn hit something particular with me that cannot be matched by the rest of the game. Maybe it's all the deep lore and history of the Dunmer, or maybe it's the somewhat alien and somber land, or Miraak's haunting voice when you go to sleep. But even that boat pulling into the docks sent me back. And as always, the soundtrack pulls its weight.
Transporting logs with the currents is actually a technique that is used to this day. If you go into the Alaskan or Canadian woods in the logging season you will see the rivers full of massive logs. They pick them up downstream.
You forget that half of these songs are from ES3 Morrowind. don't let skyrim take all the credit for songs that were a decade old by the time dragon born dlc came. Dear God that is that a long time ago holy crap ..
Whiterun and Raven Rock. The two places i visit the most. Well, Whiterun is just a useful place but Raven Rock... I just like to land there with the 7:34 music on the background and listen all the appreciation from the people. The nice alchemyst lady, the military captain, the other lady who's married to the miner. It's just so peaceful to finally see some acknowledgement from NPCs. I actually feel like i'm home whenever i visit here. Seeing my Dark Elf friends happy and relieved because of my efforts makes me feel so happy. I like it here so much (: " I don't know who sent you here, but you gave us some hope to build something around here. I just hope we can repay you for your kindness someday." "With the ash spawn taken care of my men can finally rest, thank you friend." "We are the same kinds you and i, i'm glad i've met you."
now im older, office job 6th floor. plus the gym and my girl soon to be the one. dont have time for games anymore.. but to here this again is a dream and so nostalgic calms me when im in a tight spot, thanks.
Yay!! Another Skyrim video!! I love these!! I recently found out that Jeremy Soule is also the composer for the Guild Wars series. Please do some Guild Wars videos!! Everness Foreverness!!
i remember getting the legendary edition as an early morning christmas gift, playing it all day long only stopping to open the rest of my gifts and to eat dinner..
All the waiting truly paid off! This is amazing, I am so excited to get back to school to have this as my study music. Keep up the great work and I can't wait for more Skyrim Ambiences! :)
The way this game for the past 10 years has been the best friend I never had. Helping through so many tough times. And now I am playing it once more for the anniversary. And that feeling of comfort and peace never fails. No one will ever understand how video games save lives. So many people hear that and judge so harshly because they dont understand. Yet so many books save lives. I don't see a difference at all. And I hope someday the stigma is lifted.
I'm gonna need to listen to the LOtR soundtrack again. When this track came up in the game, I instantly stopped moving and just listened. It all sounded SO familiar - I went straight to UA-cam to look it up.
Ive listened to these elder scrolls Music and Ambience videos for years on repeat while working. This is the first time ive heard this one and I love it.
Jeremy Soule is just an absolute wizard. I still come back to Skyrim pretty regularly, but because I admit I have not played the Dragonborn DLC in a long, LONG time. At least a decade if not more. This is really bringing me back and making me want to travel back there.
7:38 It gives me encouragement when I do a quest in Morrowind, even if I'm lost or bored, this music still gives me energy. This is my favorite music in Morrowind
I never played morrowind as a kid - but playing through dragonborn age 12 on christmas morning was such a magical experience; the visuals so in contrast to skyrim and so unique, the music so wonderous but dark. It was so characterful and mysterious i was fascinated for years by it and it planted in me a deep curiosity around morrowind. i was always nervous to finally play morrowind, afraid it wouldn't live up to the hype... years later when my mum died i went to a very dark place, i finally said screw it lets go and i booted it up for the first time. That morrowind playthrough was one of the greatest gaming experiences of my life and made me feel like an excited 12 year old at christmas again... say what you will about the future of the series but nothing coud ever take away my love of skyrim, solstheim, and morrowind.
There was something about Solstheim I found to be extremely welcoming, could not explain. It is supposed to be a wasteland, but life still strives in it.
i can't explain how much this game means to me. i'm not one of those who plays Skyrim since ever, because i didn't get my first console until 2019 but i've always known it and wanted to play it. My first time with Skyrim was with my ex boyfriend (who played also oblivion, like he was a real veteran). Now he left me a month ago, i've got a big hole inside of me everytime i log in, but Skyrim it's also my land, my home. I feel a huge nostalgia of him, but i can't help, i have to keep playing because it's the only thing in this world that distract me when depression and anxiety hits. I finished Dragonborn in these hard days dealing with my sadness, but this themes are something else and also if i'm crying right now i can't stop listening to it.
Never played the previous games of the series, but when I am on Solstheim, it makes me nostalgic for something. Especially 7:34 stirs the souls, it’s like "Hey, there’re so many adventures ahead waiting for you! Go for it!"
Before I resumed my studies, I had decided to switch from LOTR ambience to the majestic and nostalgic tunes of Skyrim as a way to reminisce the many adventures I had underwent with vaious companions. This time being soundtracks specifically played within the land of Solsheim (a DLC exclusive expansion, allowing exploration to the border of Morrowind). Anyways, while sitting here attempting to study for math well past midnight, I could not help but to be reminded of the time I temporarily lost a great warrior and follower, Teldryn Sero; a dark elf Solsheim native. Teldryn Sero and I have ventured through countless quests together until one night I had decided to part ways. With time, regret came to me and I did everything I could to try and find him (ps3, so no console cheats or mods). I looked everywhere in Solsheim but to no avail. Prior to this, we had mutually disbanded at my lakeview manor household, which is located far south, in around the depths of the untravellable snow prominence. I then assumed he began to travel, on foot, to Solsheim. It had been over a week in-game, so I just started to hastily venture on the path heading to the Windhelm docking ships, which take you to the much dryer and lifeless region of Morrowind. Towards seemingly the end of my already grueling journey, my company was met with the ruthless combination of a harsh blizzard and a relentless duo of bloodthirsty Werewolf Vargrs. Being extremely demoralized and exhausted, I had almost lost all sense of hope when suddenly, the snow storm begins to clear revealing a distinguishable man walking close ahead with a torch, as well as my prized dawnbreaker sword still equipped to his hip. Without hesitation, I welcomed him back to my party with rejoice and following a brief moment of equipment lending, we all headed off to attempt to slay Karstaag (which we never managed to accomplish).
Blessing of vivec is absolutely gorgeous, even the background fits the music so well, it feels like being in a frozen wasteland with nothing around and beautiful night sky
I never got completely through Skyrim because I would get distracted by all the side quests and just listening to the ambiance. I’m listening to this now while there’s a rainstorm outside with my doggo. He was in a panic for a while because of the thunder, but he fell asleep with this in the background!
During the roughest time of my life, I found comfort in immersing myself in this game. Instead of paying 10x the amount I'd spend on a therapist, this game did the trick.
I accidentally hit one of miraak’s mining statues... shortly after I pitched a tent in the wilderness of solstheim as my character was tired . I woke up mining at a ritual stone , like one of those mind controlled folk you see . When I left , Miraaks words “Far from yourself” appeared on my subtitles . For the next few hours it stayed there . And i was so immersed because i got this feeling like my character was longing to go to that ritual site again. Like miraaks power was seriously daunting and real . Probably my most favorite moment in the entire game .
RIP Teldryn Sero. I dismissed him from my service and he never returned to the Retching Netch. Wherever he lies, that bastard still has my Ghostblade.

I can physically hear the the strider lowing in this one.
The Solstheim soundtrack is Jeremy Soule's best work in my opinion, though some Skyrim and Oblivion come close.
Honestly all of the Elder Scrolls soundtracks are incredibly good and they form a massive part of the atmosphere that these games create.
Oblivion > Solestiem > Dawnguard > Skyrim
IMO of course.
As hellish as solsthiem might look, it’s soundtracks are lit and reminds me of Morrowind.
It is part of morrowind even in skyrim duh
Hellish but cool af
A terrible place, I've heard. There's a boat from Khuul, if you have any reason to go.
@@gigabytecerebraltorx3589 Actually Solstheim is part of Skyrim, but the Nords gave it to the Dunmer to settle after Vardenfell suffered a cataclysm
I'm pretty sure some of these are actually morrowind tracks.
Is it possible to feel nostalgia for a place where you've never physically being.
Because that's exactly how I feel when I listen to this music.
Fernweh
I’ve never felt as much nostalgia for anywhere I’ve actually been as I do for land of morrowind

How damn it I love her)
For all those other restless souls who yearn for adventure, this game and music is for you.🙏🤠😃
Keep exploring everyone. Never stop
17:55 I listened through the first 17 minutes just to hear this part
Ah, I love the gentle sounds of the lapping ocean waves and seabirds and sea port life 🌊🌊🌊
Relaxing as a gentle breeze, and pretty as a postcard! Beautiful work as always!
Why does that guy keep chopping wood if he’s going to just let it keep falling in the ocean?
lmao
Damn I can't even escape Trump talk on a skyrim music video.
Transporting logs with the currents is actually a technique that is used to this day. If you go into the Alaskan or Canadian woods in the logging season you will see the rivers full of massive logs. They pick them up downstream.

Gerardo Villela you want to know what I like more then knowledge? My Lamborghini...
Sorry I had to make that reference :p
This not only brings up memories, but makes me convinced that everything is better with Morrowind's soundtrack. God how I love that game...
This game has the best soundtracks of the decade.
It’s from over a decade
You forget that half of these songs are from ES3 Morrowind. don't let skyrim take all the credit for songs that were a decade old by the time dragon born dlc came. Dear God that is that a long time ago holy crap ..
No ads, no bullshit, just ambience of video games. I love your channel!
I like it here so much (:
" I don't know who sent you here, but you gave us some hope to build something around here. I just hope we can repay you for your kindness someday."
"With the ash spawn taken care of my men can finally rest, thank you friend."
"We are the same kinds you and i, i'm glad i've met you."
What a lovely comment :) take a like!

Glad you liked it! Full disclosure: me promising you this one months ago was what finally pushed me to actually make it before the holidays.
30:30 gives me chills. I love it.
I can't believe no one is talking about "Unnamed Track 10", starting at 24:14. It's so unique and somber.

Thank you, I heard it right now in the game and I wanted to find it. And that's what I thought too, it really reminds me of Lord of The Rings.
I'm gonna need to listen to the LOtR soundtrack again. When this track came up in the game, I instantly stopped moving and just listened. It all sounded SO familiar - I went straight to UA-cam to look it up.
Reading the comments on this game is so soothing and nostalgic. My best friend showed my this game. So much memories

A terrible place, I've heard. There's a boat from Khuul, if you have any reason to go.
i can't explain how much this game means to me. i'm not one of those who plays Skyrim since ever, because i didn't get my first console until 2019 but i've always known it and wanted to play it.
This is so chill that I fell of my chair into my own existential abyss, only to find that it was just another rainy day.
Without hesitation, I welcomed him back to my party with rejoice and following a brief moment of equipment lending, we all headed off to attempt to slay Karstaag (which we never managed to accomplish).
nice story
Thank you so much for this! I listen to it while I study online and it keeps my on track because gives a familiar comforting sound while I work.

7:43 my favorite one no questions asked
I accidentally hit one of miraak’s mining statues... shortly after I pitched a tent in the wilderness of solstheim as my character was tired . I woke up mining at a ritual stone , like one of those mind controlled folk you see . When I left , Miraaks words “Far from yourself” appeared on my subtitles . For the next few hours it stayed there . And i was so immersed because i got this feeling like my character was longing to go to that ritual site again. Like miraaks power was seriously daunting and real . Probably my most favorite moment in the entire game .
17:55 - [Morrowind] Peaceful Waters - Sounds like this would be a Neverwinter Nights track. So good... mmmmmmm....
