One year later and I'm back, making the bruscetta following this recipe. I toasted the bread in a skillet with some oil before putting the sauce on the bread and put it in the oven. Also i had some with small piece of buffalo mozarella on it. Thanks again Vincenco, one of the best and nicest youtube cooks!

Nothing beats the classic Bruschetta! Fresh basil and fresh tomatoes, rub some garlic on toasted bread, sprinke some salt and pepper, oh just fantastic snack to put in my belly!
Genius! I didn’t even think of rubbing the garlic into the bread! I’ll be doing that for now on. The rest is exactly how I do it (I add red onion in my mix cause my wife loves it)

I saw this video yesterday so when I was buying today cherry tomato's fornoicking I bought some more and basil. I got great, spicy olive oil for this, extra virgine of course so I did not even used pepper. And now I am stuffed full with bruschettas. Darn this thing is tasty.

Is there a technique that you would recommend to somehow make my garlic “crushed“ without using such a device? Or, would you suggest just not using garlic at all if we don’t own a garlic crusher, and using onion instead? I would still brush some garlic on the toast right after it’s done toasting like you showed us, so it won’t be totally garlic-free, _BUT_ I love, _LOVE_ garlic, so if there’s a method that you can tell me about to simulate crushed garlic without using a device, I would be so very grateful! To be honest, never tried the oven, we mostly use the toaster because it's fast, no preheating required. But in the summer time: Charcoal grill.

Normally, you lightly salt and drizzle olive oil on the bread after you rub the garlic.

Italian is easy like that: If a 'c' is followed by an 'h' it is ALWAYS pronounced like 'k'.
Not like English were in the sentence 'I travelled through Slough to Loughborough' the -ough is pronounced differently in each case.
Just made it and it was delicious! We bake our own sourdough bread, and it even tasted good with just the fresh bread.

I like to add a bit of lemon balsamic vinegar glaze.... It gives a creamier feel in the mouth with a bit of lemony taste.....

Thank you for a beautiful recipe as always! I have already tried a few of your recipes and they turned out to be a hit. When I don't have basil on hand, I always have pesto in my pantry, I add some basil pesto to the tomatoes, it does give that fresh basil flavor😅
