I have a 1995 Honda Magna and it missed terrible between 1 and 3 k of rpm. A buddy is gonna put a DynaJet kit on it for me after we clean the carbs. Hope that fixes the issue.
1:40 was that the chop you were talking about? That miss or sputter? Sounds like a lean cylinder, like a stuck slide or leaking diaphragm. Glad your dude got it straitened out for ya.
That sputter is from a clogged fuel screen in the fuel tank. I’m waiting on a part to come in to replace it. If I put it on reserve, which bypasses that screen, it clears up.
I’m not a fan of how it looks, but I love the way the bike sounds and I get a lot of compliments on how it sounds. I’ll leave it as is. Plus if I go to a 4 pipe design like factory, I will lose power
I have a 97 magna deluxe when I bought it it had the exhaust cut off of it took me 2 years to find an exhaust I can afford but I believe it came with the cobra slash cuts
“it’s pretty cold out” “67 degrees” dawwg i daily drive my Magna in mi, I get excited when the weather is anything over 46 and yes, it takes 2 mins to crank her to start and another 10 mins for her to warm up
I ride in anything unless it’s raining or icy. Temp is supposed to be in the low 30s tomorrow and I’ll ride depending on what the snow we are supposed to get does. When I said it’s cold, I was wearing summer gear😂
I have a full size windshield but I don’t like using it. I’m looking for a factory front fairing but they are hard to come by for a good price. I may end up ordering an aftermarket one for the time being. It does get cold here too, it will be mid 30s when I’m headed to work in the morning
U can unscrew the baffles ....then pull out with plyers....... California models u gotta cut out with tourch.........sounds awsome.....I have a street sheid ( midsize sport windshield....works great looks great
I said it was cold because there was moisture in the air and I was wearing summer gear. I ride year round and regularly ride when it is in the 20s and 30s, but I have gear for that
I know the guy pretty good so I may have gotten a better deal, but I paid $200 to have mine rejetted and dyno tuned. But the same guy had rebuilt the carbs 6 months prior, so they didn’t need to be rebuilt or cleaned
Hello, The pop, you referring to is back firing.? Did you have a jet kit installed? Likely a tune of different jets could have done same thing. One other thing would be to have carbs ultrasonic cleaned before adding any type kits to carburetor to get best results. Cheers
The guy that installed them just rebuilt them last year and he did clean everything good. Tune is good and carbs are synced. What I meant by pop is the extra fuel running into the exhaust and reigniting when decelerating. It’s pretty normal with open exhaust. My truck even does it, just not as noticeable
I used the DynoJet stage 1 kit and because I have after market intake and exhaust, I used DJ108 jets. Depending on your setup you may go with something smaller
it sounds different because you have more air and moving faster now, I can hear lower frequency, before the sound was like a small trompet, small difference but sounds better now.
I own about 45 bikes, Magna is my no. 1 favorite, no kidding.
Yea bro I’m about to sell my 600 and just keep my Magna, every time I get time to ride I choose to hop on the pig

I hope u get the valve timing adjustment .highly recommended with the Exhaust and jetting...
That was done when the guy did the jet kit. He made sure everything was 100% and even dynoed the bike afterwards.
How do you adjust the valve timing on the bike?.
What did it dyno? @@jamesrevels
Kerker and Supertramp used
To make some nice exhaust
Systems for the magna.

A guy from Manford. He charged $200 for the work. He was a tech for years at Honda of Tulsa
@@jamesrevels Gotcha. Bike sounds great btw!

You will not be disappointed with the bike. Congrats on your purchase
How much would y’all pay for a 94? Besides Kelly book pricing . Just curious
I’m finding them around me for $1,500 to $2,500
Hi! I just bought a ‘94 for 3k with 16k miles.
I have a 95 magna but it is the deluxe version. I have been living the bike so far.
Whats jet kit did you use?
Dynojet 108 jets
@@jamesrevels where you buy them
You guys should try the voodoo 4 into 1 slip on sounds just as mean

What kinda exhaust u running ?
Can anyone list the mods he has on the bike ?
Just intake, exhaust, jet kit, and sprocket change

K&N
Cobra exaust?
Not sure what it is exactly, best I can figure is a homemade 2 into 1 exhaust with universal slip ons

Thank you, it definitely sounds better, I had the pipes and intake mods done, just didn’t have the fuel to compliment it. Now it’s running great
Seems like the bike may be lean, popping on decel, may be the pipes….no it’s running lean alright ,better be careful not to burn up your pistons.
