Both of my local Evinrude dealers have quit servicing Evinrude motors and carrying BRP parts or service items, so I've switched to Lucas Marine Grease with great results - stays in place as well as Triple Guard grease and I can also use the Lucas grease on the trailer wheel bearings.
Your videos are the best! So concise and informative. It also doesn't hurt that you have the same exact engine as I do. : D Thank you so much for your contributions.
I will have to check it out...I did have to some rubbing on the main power wires under the cowl that needed a bit of added protection early on. Glad you enjoyed the videos...thank you
Dont forget to add grease to your exhaust valve, have to remove lower plastic covers. Its on port side if engine. Just did on my 2014 E-tec 115 HO. Also had to replace my actuator motor but luckily the exhaust valve was not stuck due to someone else had applied grease earlier 😇
Hi. I have an Evinrude 200 hp and the tili tube is not taking any grease. Do you have any recommendations ? Tried heat and fitting rejuvinator but nothing.
So I am assuming that when you pump the grease just comes out around the fitting and never enters? If grease is entering the fitting then we need to try something different. You already tried the heat and rejuvenate...so that does not leave alot of options. I am also assuming that you have the correct nipple for the grease gun and fittings. Next step is to remove the fitting and clean it with a small wire and brake cleaner...if no luck then time to replace.
Appreciate how you have a whole library of content on how to care for your equipment.
I try my best to take care of things and keep them maintained...just sooooooo expensive to get anything fixed anymore

I used the Lucas on my old boat for the same reason...it was simpler to use 1 grease vs 2.
Great tutorial! Congratulations fron Spain! 👍
Thanks! 😃 Awesome to see a comment from Spain
@@1Cast1Fish yes Sir, I have got a little Evinrude E TEC 50hp and I'm learning about It seeing your videos. Thanks a lot.

What grease gun do you need for the job and with what fitting ?
I try to figure it out but the manuel doesn’t tell me.
It is a ZERK type fitting. I used a full size grease gun with flexible hose and ZERK attachment.
How does grease get to the upper bushing on the swivel bracket or steering arm assy?
Not sure it's exact route, but I normally see some new grease when I am pumping in the new...so it gets there
Are you having any problems getting parts for your Evinrude?
Generally I am not for normal service items. Some of the big ticket items...VST, EEM, Injectors, ect can be a bit harder.
Any marine grease will work fine and cost you about a quarter as much
It lasts a long time, so I have just kept with the same stuff that was original.
